Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan Fenomenologis. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik wawancara dan focus group discussion. Sumber data adalah 11 calon guru mata pelajaran matematika dan 2 guru mata pelajaran matematika yang adalah mahasiswa pascasarjana pendidikan matematika Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Analisis data menggunakan model Bokdan dan Biglend yang dilakukan dengan cara mereduksi data, mengklasifikasi data dan memverivikasi data kemudian memberikan kesimpulan. However, there are still many students who make mistakes in solving geometry problems. This can be a reference to find out what are difficulties experienced by students. The purpose of this study is to find out the types and causes of student errors in solving geometry problems. This research uses a qualitative approach. The subjects in this study were 3 students of class VII A MTs Surya Buana Malang. The results showed that the types of errors made by students were concept errors, procedural errors, and errors in understanding the questions. Concept errors made by students were errors in the types of triangle, properties of quadrilateral shapes, definitions of quadrilateral, concepts of operations on number, concepts of circumference, area of triangle and area of rectangle. Procedural errors made by students were mistakes in giving unit of perimeter or area, calculation, and understanding the problem. The causes of the error were students not being able to distinguish between angle and line segment, not being able to distinguish types of triangle based on angle and side, not being able to understand the concept of number operations, lacking accuracy, not understanding the difference in area and number of angle in triangle, lack of variation in questions given by the teacher, and lack of understanding about perimeter and area of the quadrilateral. AbstrakSegitiga dan segiempat merupakan materi yang diajarkan pada tingkat SMP. Akan tetapi, masih banyak siswa yang melakukan kesalahan dalam menyelesaikan soal geometri. Hal ini dapat menjadi acuan untuk mengetahui kesulitan apa saja yang dialami siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis dan penyebab kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal geometri. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 3 dari 33 siswa kelas VII A MTs Surya Buana Malang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa meliputi: kesalahan konsep, kesalahan prosedur, dan kesalahan dalam memahami soal. Kesalahan konsep yang dilakukan oleh siswa meliputi: kesalahan jenis segitiga, sifat-sifat bangun segiempat, definisi segiempat, konsep operasi pada bilangan, konsep keliling dan luas segitiga dan segiempat. Kesalahan prosedural yang dilakukan oleh siswa adalah kesalahan pemberian satuan keliling atau luas dan kesalahan perhitungan. Kesalahan lain yakni dalam memahami soal. The sampling technique is probability sampling and a sample of 182 students is obtained. Data collection techniques used were Van Hiele level geometry tests and test results. Data analysis used descriptive statistics and anova with a significance level of 5%. The results showed that only 170 students were included in the Van Hiele geometry level, namely 62 students were at level 0, 97 students were at level 1, 5 students were at level 2, and as many as 6 students are at level 3. In the inferential analysis based on analysis of variance (two-way anova) concludes that for learning outcomes based on Van Hiele level geometry obtained Fcount = 13.793 > Ftable = 9.28 means H0 is rejected means that there are differences in mathematics learning outcomes based on Van Hiele geometry level.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui distribusi level geometri siswa berdasarkan teori Van Hiele dan mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar matematika siswa di kelas VII SMP. Menggunakan teknik probability sampling dan diperoleh sampel sebanyak 182 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes level geometri Van Hiele dan tes hasil belajar. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan anova dengan taraf signifikansi sebesar 5%. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa dari 182 sampel, hanya 170 siswa yang termasuk dalam level geometri Van Hiele yaitu 62 siswa berada pada level 0, sebanyak 97 siswa pada level 1, sebanyak 5 siswa pada level 2, dan 6 siswa pada level 3. One of the efforts in helping students who have difficulty in solving geometry problems, is by identifying the results of students' completion of the given problem. The purpose of this study is to identify student errors in solving geometry problems using Newmanââ¬â¢s Procedure. This study uses a mixed approach (fixed method) using test questions instruments. The subjects of this study were 29 students of class VII C of SMP Negeri 8 Kediri. The results of identification of student answers obtained data that errors in reading problems because students are confused about solving the geometry problems. Comprehension errors of what they read happens because students answer broadly when asked is that many tiles are needed. Transformation errors occur because students incorrectly write numbers while working. Errors in process skill in implementing strategies occur because students choose the wrong strategiy in solving problems. Errors in encoding when students write final answers occur because students do not know that writing down the distance unit while working on problems is not allowed and itââ¬â¢s wrong in counting.AbstrakKesalahan dalam menyelesaikan soal geometri dapat dijadikan acuan untuk mengetahui kesulitan-kesulitan apa saja yang dilakukan oleh siswa. Salah satu upaya dalam membantu siswa yang kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan soal geometri, yaitu dengan mengidentifikasi hasil penyelesaian siswa terhadap soal yang diberikan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal geometri dengan menggunakanàNewmanââ¬â¢s Procedure. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan campuran (fixed method)àdengan menggunakan instrument soal tes. Subjek penelitian ini ada 29 siswa kelas VII C SMP Negeri 8 Kediri. Hasil identifikasi jawaban siswa diperoleh data bahwa kesalahan dalam membaca soal dikarenakan siswa bingung menyelesaikan soal geometri tersebut. Kesalahan dalam memahami apa yang dibaca terjadi dikarenakan siswa menjawab luas pada saat yang ditanyakan adalah banyak ubin yang dibutuhkan. Kesalahan transformasi terjadi dikarenakan siswa salah menulis angka saat mengerjakan. Kesalahan dalam menerapakan strategi terjadi karena siswa salah memilih strategi dalam menyelesaikan soal. Students’ errors found through analyzing students answer in solving story question material of derivative. Based on the result of data analyzed and interview which has been done, it showed that no one of the students can answer all of the questions correctly. The population of this study was 215 students and the sample was 32 students. Analysis technique used for this study was descriptive analysis. Based on the result of the data, it can be found that reading error was on the lowest percentage that is 23%. Error in comprehension and transformation was on the medium percentage those are 44% and 49%. Error in processing skill was on the lower percentage that is 29%. The last is encoding error was on the highest percentage that is 78%.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kriteria masing-masing jenis kesalahan Newman dan persentasenya pada siswa kelas XII MAN 2 Mataram tahun pelajaran 2018/2019. Kesalahan-kesalahan siswa diketahui melalui analisis terhadap jawaban siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita turunan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dan wawancara yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada siswa yang dapat menjawab dengan benar semua soal yang telah diberikan. Populasi penelitian sebanyak 215 siswa dengan sampel penelitian 32 siswa. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh, bahwa kesalahan membaca berada dalam kriteria sangat rendah dengan persentase 23%. Kesalahan memahami soal dan transformasi berada dalam kriteria sedang dengan persentase berturut-turut 44% dan 49%. Kesalahan keterampilan proses berada dalam kriteria rendah dengan persentase 29%. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The data sources in this study were VIII grade students at Baubau 18 Public Middle School who had a mathematical value of ââ°Â¤ 65 and the sample used was taken by Cluster Random Sampling technique. The research instruments used in the study were observation sheets, questionnaire sheets, and interview guidelines. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, questionnaires, and interviews. The data analysis technique used in this study is data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The results of the study showed that i.e. (1) the factors of associating friends, obtained a percentage of 81.08% indicating that the factors of associating with the emergence of fear of students' failure to learn mathematics were classified as very high; (2) teacher factors obtained percentage of 80.71% which is also classified as very high; (3) Factors related to self-motivation obtained a percentage of 70.92%, this shows that self-motivation factors towards the emergence of fear of students will fail in learning mathematics, relatively high.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan faktor-faktor penyebab timbulnya rasa takut siswa kelas VIII akan kegagalan dalam mempelajari matematika di SMP Negeri 18 Baubau. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 18 Baubau yang memiliki nilai matematika àdan sampel yang digunakan diambil dengan teknik Cluster Random Sampling. Instrument penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah lembar observasi, lembar angket, dan pedoman wawancara. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui metode observasi, angket, dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu reduksi data, display data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. This research is Ex-Post Facto and the sample were 66 students of SMAN 1 Jonggat that was taken using Simple Random Sampling technique. Research data obtained using documentation and questionnaire. It had been anayzed using a simple linier regression and multiple regression tests. The result concluded that: (1) there is a positive and significant effect of learning motivation on students' mathematics learning outcomes with an effective contribution of 16.2%, (2) there is a positive and significant effect of learning habits on students' mathematics learning outcomes with an effective contribution of 16.1% (3) there is a positive effect of learning motivation and group learning habits on students' mathematics learning outcomes with an effective contribution of 25.2% and effective contribution of each variable 12.62% and 12.55%, respectively.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi belajar dan kebiasaan belajar terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Jonggat tahun ajaran 2018/2019. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Ex Post Facto. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Jonggat sebanyak 66 orang yang diambil dengan teknik Simple Random Sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh menggunakan teknik dokumentasi dan angket, dianalisis dengan uji Regresi Linier Sederhana dan uji Regresi Ganda. The instruments in this study were the researchers themselves, visual-verbal communication mathematics problem solving test and interview guidelines. Subjects in this study were 2 students with high learning achievement (PBT), 2 students with moderate learning achievement (PBS), and 2 students with low learning achievement (PBR). The results showed that students with high learning achievement improve verbal communication and mathematical communication skills that are more complicated than students with learning achievement who are solving mathematical problems. Meanwhile, students with low learning achievement solve problems by communicating verbal mathematical symbol. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap profil kemampuan komunikasi visual-verbal dalam pemecahan masalah matematika dilihat dari prestasi belajar matematika siswa. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri, tes pemecahan masalah matematika komunikasi visual-verbal dan pedoman wawancara. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 2 orang siswa prestasi belajar tinggi (PBT), 2 orang siswa prestasi belajar sedang (PBS), dan 2 orang siswa prestasi belajar rendah (PBR). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan prestasi belajar tinggi meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi visual dan matematis verbal yang lebih rumit dari siswa dengan prestasi belajar sedang memecahkan masalah matematika. Sementara, siswa dengan prestasi belajar rendah memecahkan masalah dengan komunikasi simbol matematis verbal. Siswa prestasi belajar rendah memecahkan masalah dengan komunikasi simbol matematis verbal. One of the efforts in helping students who have difficulty in solving geometry problems, is by identifying the results of students' completion of the given problem. The purpose of this study is to identify student errors in solving geometry problems using Newman’s Procedure. This study uses a mixed approach (fixed method) using test questions instruments. The subjects of this study were 29 students of class VII C of SMP Negeri 8 Kediri. The results of identification of student answers obtained data that errors in reading problems because students are confused about solving the geometry problems. Comprehension errors of what they read happens because students answer broadly when asked is that many tiles are needed. Transformation errors occur because students incorrectly write numbers while working. Errors in process skill in implementing strategies occur because students choose the wrong strategiy in solving problems. Errors in encoding when students write final answers occur because students do not know that writing down the distance unit while working on problems is not allowed and it’s wrong in counting.AbstrakKesalahan dalam menyelesaikan soal geometri dapat dijadikan acuan untuk mengetahui kesulitan-kesulitan apa saja yang dilakukan oleh siswa. Salah satu upaya dalam membantu siswa yang kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan soal geometri, yaitu dengan mengidentifikasi hasil penyelesaian siswa terhadap soal yang diberikan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal geometri dengan menggunakan Newman’s Procedure. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan campuran (fixed method) dengan menggunakan instrument soal tes. Subjek penelitian ini ada 29 siswa kelas VII C SMP Negeri 8 Kediri. Hasil identifikasi jawaban siswa diperoleh data bahwa kesalahan dalam membaca soal dikarenakan siswa bingung menyelesaikan soal geometri tersebut. Kesalahan dalam memahami apa yang dibaca terjadi dikarenakan siswa menjawab luas pada saat yang ditanyakan adalah banyak ubin yang dibutuhkan. Kesalahan transformasi terjadi dikarenakan siswa salah menulis angka saat mengerjakan. Kesalahan dalam menerapakan strategi terjadi karena siswa salah memilih strategi dalam menyelesaikan soal. Pengembangan Game STATIC dilakukan berdasarkan pada model ADDIE ( Analyze-Design-Develop-Implement-Evaluate ) dengan lima tahapan utama, yaitu analisis, perancangan, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Game STATIC yang dikembangkan harus memenuhi kriteria valid. Kevalidan dari media yang dikembangkan berdasarkan pada penilaian para ahli media. Instrumen untuk menilai kevalidan berupa lembar validasi media pembelajaran oleh ahli media. Hasil penilaian ahli media menunjukkan skor rata-rata sebesar 152 dengan klasifikasi sangat baik.
