Researchstudies have shown that there is a significant increase in participants’factual knowledge and conceptual understanding after participation in awell-designed field trip. However, due to differences in academic disciplines, elements which constitute a well-designed field trip vary according to thelearning objectives of the field trip. Thus far, in legal education, therehas been a dearth of both theoretical and empirical research into theelements necessary in the planning of field trips as a successful pedagogictool. Therefore, in this article, the authors seek to analyse the importantelements that should be emphasized in designing a successful field trip forlegal educators. Drawing upon literature from other disciplines, the articleconcentrates its review on Myers and Jones’ field trip planning model inthe determination of the elements that should be present in a well-designedfield trip. Some thoughts and considerations in the application of themodel into planning field trips for legal education are also discussed andrecommendations are made appropriately in adapting the model.

The impact of dramatic changes intechnology as well as globalisation has led to an increase in precariouswork behaviour. There are positive associations between precarious workbehaviour and career satisfaction. The literature showed satisfactionwith work had exhibited an impressive effect on more worldwide regions, for example, satisfaction with a career. Therefore, this paper reviews theliterature on precarious work behaviour on career satisfaction. Data werecollected using a questionnaire conducted on online entrepreneurs. Thedata were analysed using Structural Equation Modelling (SmartPLS) toassess the respondents. Results show that precarious work behaviour hasa positive influence on career satisfaction. The findings have implicationsfor increasing our understanding of precarious work behaviour on careersatisfaction. In many \u0000aspects, technology in education is supposed to prove that education can \u0000be delivered effectively and efficiently. However, there are cases in which \u0000technology in education can be frustrating and annoying for both parties. \u0000Government and university management have invested a lot of money to \u0000ensure that educators and students can really benefit from the technology. \u0000In spite of huge investment on educational technology tools (hardware and \u0000software) over the past decades in various education initiatives, the potential \u0000of technology usage at university level has not reached the desired level \u0000among educators and students. What is the missing link for the realisation of \u0000the expected return-of-investment? Recent researches (C Akarawang, 2015; \u0000Bibi, 2017; Hersh, 2014) indicate that the problem is due to the gap between \u0000technical ICT skills and the knowledge of good pedagogical practice among \u0000educators. The outcome of this study proposes an Educational Technology \u0000standard to be applied in university setting using TPCK (Technological \u0000Pedagogical Content Knowledge) as the basic framework. However, this \u0000paper will only discuss a part of our standard development highlighting \u0000the assessment method that was used during the implementation of ETC \u000068 standard in our institutions. Overall, the descriptive result using pre and \u0000post means scores as assessment method towards proposed standard shows \u0000that the educators’ acceptance score in our institutions are mostly good. \u0000However the element within the standard least accepted are TCK (Technology \u0000Content Knowledge) and TPK (Technology Pedagogical Knowledge). The \u0000assessment and finding in this study nevertheless are suggested to be used \u0000as a guidance for ETC Standard implementation in university setting in \u0000order to stress the importance of considering technological possibilities in \u0000light of developmentally appropriate practices and specific learning goals \u0000in ICT/ET training provided for educators in HEI in Malaysia. \u0000 \u0000Keywords: educational technology; TPCK, ICT standard, university, \u0000educators, student

This content isfaithfully taken down by students as notes while trying to make sense ofthe professor’s lectures. This was the norm of teaching law some 20 yearsback during the author’s student time and still is the practice because thelecture method is the most efficient means to cover the vast subject contentof law. Furthermore, it is opined that it is easier to expound one’s viewsthan to ask penetrating questions which rarely provoke the activity oforiginal thinking. As such, law students are inundated with substantive andprocedural law. Little thought is given to the learning process. The corpusof learning the law becomes less significant. Emphasis is on teaching thelaw. The traditional teaching norm of lecture method is so innate that thetraditional method of teaching law is perpetuated, dragging the studentsinto a dry and boring journey of studying law. Even though the study oflaw is daunted as a serious one, but equal significance should be givento provoke the cognitive thinking of the students. Law students should betaught to think like a lawyer. Additionally, some form of creativity can bean added value in teaching law which makes learning law more vibrant. This article laments that the traditional pedagogy of teaching law merelyimparts knowledge, whereas law students should be taught to learn the law, stimulate critical thinking and ignite their cognitive skills. \u0000Keywords: law, diversity, teaching pedagogy

The main objectiveof this paper is to investigate the readiness for VCE among students at alocal university in Malaysia. A survey was conducted with 217 respondents.Questionnaires administered comprised sections on the demography ofrespondents and their readiness for virtual classroom and TechnologyReadiness Index 2.0 (TRI 2.0). The Kruskal-Wallis test was conductedin the data analysis. The dimensions of the Technology Readiness Index;(i) insecurity, (ii) discomfort, (iii) innovativeness , and (iv) optimism, were analysed. The results showed only the ‘discomfort’ dimension hada statistically different average total score between the three generationgroups according to their age, namely; (i) Generation X (those born between1965 and 1979); (ii) Generation Y (born between 1980 and 1994); and(iii) Generation Z (born in 1995 or later). The mean rank of total score for‘discomfort’ shows that Generation X has the highest mean rank among thethree generation groups.
