The paper presents the comparative studies of HC and Maxwell coils (MC) consisting in modelling, simulations and measurements of MF intensity. For this the geometry of the external coils of the MC system was designed identically with HC type. The quantity of energy that is invested into charging the battery with pulses doesn't have an homogenous graph with regards to the variation of duty cycle. The experimental measurements of quantities of energy for charging of battery show the existence of maxims and minims on the frequency domain between 33 Hz - 100 kHz with various duty cycle. A procedure aimed to obtain the main characteristics of the filter without the connection wires is proposed. The main effort is to keep the PDN impedance under a certain value in a frequency range by using decoupling capacitors, which can be at Printed Circuit Board (PCB) level, in package or in chip. Although you can get the same performance with any type of capacitor for high frequencies, it is important to consider the efficiency of decoupling capacitors in small ceramic casings at the expense of the large enclosures. Each PCB designer faces certain restrictions, including those related to the gauge plate, number of components, signal traces that need to be routed, so he will be able to achieve its goal increasing the effect of certain factors, [16][20][21][22]. The proximity of the capacitor to the chip and to its vias, and also its parasitic (equivalent series inductance and equivalent series resistance) determine the speed at which the capacitor reacts to the change in current. This paper reviews possible solution to minimize the noise in a PDN by answering the question “Why the mounting inductance needs to be minimize in order to have a proper Power Distribution Network (PDN) impedance?”. To answer of this question, will be used a SPICE equivalent circuit of the PDN. A previously polished and oxide free tin surface was oxidized in a controlled environment and the resulting surface topography was evaluated numerically with AFM. The sinusoidal signal is applied to a circuit made up of coils with unknown inductance and a capacitor with known value. By measuring the resonance frequency and the level of the envelope, one can calculate the inductance and the quality factor. As the frequency of the input signal varies step by step, there occur transient regime effects which alter the results. The paper presents the steps needed to design properly, based on CAD (Computer Aided Design) techniques, a PCB structure according to the industrial standards. The hardest part was that we had to implement in FPGA the serial driver, but not the usual driver, which can communicate only an 8 bit word with the PC, but to send a whole ASCII string to another device. Most serial drivers on FPGA can respond with a certain character after they receive a command from the PC, but in this case the FPGA is slave, the PC is master and the communication is only on 8 bits, only one ASCII character. We created the serial driver in FPGA to be master, to initialize communication and to be able to send more ASCII characters, to send ASCII strings.
