The complexity of the computer architecture is given by the high number of complex software tools, the virtual machines, the different operating systems and the great range of different classes with laboratory lessons, especially for computer engineering students. One solution would be the use of private university-owned Cloud but not all universities can afford a modern thin-client solution. Lita","doi":"10.1109/SIITME.2015.7342323","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/SIITME.2015.7342323","url":null,"abstract":"This paper presents a solution to diagnosis printed circuit boards in terms of wiring crossing, based on real-time image analysis. The image is captured using an ordinary video camera (web cam) that is placed above the board while a light source is placed under. The image is processed locally in the FPGA, and bright spots which indicate board cross are isolated. Through an Ethernet interface, the system allows the input “pattern” (correct PCB cross positions) to be compared to the processed image. The comparison can determine the exact position of the cross points and if it corresponds to the expected pattern. The system is meant to be an effective method of real time checking of the printed circuit boards' quality. Lazar","doi":"10.1109/SIITME.2015.7342328","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/SIITME.2015.7342328","url":null,"abstract":"This paper presents a simplified Powersim (PSIM) model for simulating and estimating the power losses due to the change in the relative position of the sun to a fixed south oriented solar panel. The proposed equation used for describing the difference between the sun-tracking system and the fixed system is validated by testing a solar panel guidance system based on data provided by Stellarium software. The results obtained when using a fixed, a single-axis and a dual-axis tracking system are compared for different energy test reports. For example, in summer time (Cluj-Napoca), when using Stellarium indications, if only the azimuth is respected, the energy production can be increased by almost 31%, and by about 35% if the elevation is respected as well. The investigation refers to the physical understanding of the behavior of a triangular loop resonator. The effects of varying different parameters of this filter structure were studied. Some filters of this type were designed and tested by simulation. An experimental model of such a filter has been measured. Such a communication system implemented on vehicles can be used not only on highway or a modernized expressway, but on any type of road and most important, in any geographical area (regardless of its economic development). Thus, direct vehicular communication offers opportunities in the forthcoming development of a system for vehicular communication, an achievement obtained with minimal costs. The implementation of the vehicular communication system requires the development of a protocol for communication between vehicles.
