These systems can use behavioral procedures to generate tasks and for improving reading skills. This paper proposes two learning interactive environments, a digital game, and a web application, that uses a matching-to-sample procedure to teach reading abilities, where the tasks are adapted to the students by a framework based on evolutionary computing. We applied an experiment to identify the engagement of 22 students assigned from a class offirst graders of a Brazilian public school. The students were divided into 4 groups and their data was collected for two days. Tavares","doi":"10.1109/SIIE.2017.8259656","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/SIIE.2017.8259656","url":null,"abstract":"The research carried out in the Supervised Teaching Practice in the scope of the Master's Degree in PreSchool Education and Teaching of the 1st CEB had as main objective to verify the main implications, from the comparative point of view, regarding the use of a digital resources (Internet) and the use of an analogue resource (Manual) in the teaching / learning process in a group of 1st CEB. The methodology implemented was qualitative, emphasizing the application of an action research through participant observation with the collection of field notes (students, pedagogical pair, Cooperating Advisor) and semi-structured interviews with the first teachers of the 1st CEB, for a triangulation of data. I have opted for a qualitative methodology, namely the Grounded Theory, as it was my intention not to be based in existent theories, but to create new ideas and theories from observed reality. For that, I undertook semistructured interviews and observations to 15 Portuguese families in their homes. I resorted to a theoretical sampling, that is, I have look for realities where the phenomenon to be studied existed, thus families would have to have, at least, a child with less than 6 years and preferentially an older sibling. During the data collection I observed that children are surrounded by technologies and use them, in a general way, whenever they wish to, including six-month-old babies. They prefer mobile devices, as tablets and smartphones, but they also use computers, televisions and gaming consoles. The subjects used Digital Learnig Environments, including the Eduquito and a social network. From the mediation and virtual contact with other children, the dimensions we observed were reading and writing, oral language, and social development. The results showed that children began to virtually interact with other children and understand and use new concepts and new technologies. Having the city of Viseu as the study case setting, the project aims to develop and evaluate a collaborative app that promotes interaction between generations and the practice of outdoors healthy lifestyle. Inhabitants will be invited to create collaboratively, while touring and interacting with and about the various places of reference, stories about their city, from the memories and reminiscences of the elderly to the meanings of the present and the expectations ofchildren and youth concerning those same sites. Analyzing the use of badges in the platform, it was possible to identify that only a few communities actually used the badges tool. In order to promote the use of Badges by the members of these schools a MOOC was designed and implemented. The MOOC was named “Badges: how to use?” and started on the 20th of April of 2017. This paper presents the assumptions underlying the creation of this MOOC, explaining how it was organized. The proposed conceptual framework aims to infer the impact of the adopted learning approach for the development of scientific competences and students' self-regulated learning. Thus, students' exploration of learning sequences and students' behaviour towards available help, formative feedback and recommendations will be analysed. The framework derives from the proposed learning approach, as well as from the literature review. Before introducing it, the authors present an overview of the digital educational resource learning approach and the adopted Educational Data Mining methods. In this sense, this article reports a study carried out in a teacher program, in order to analyze future teachers and teacher educators' perspectives on the use of the game-based learning platform Kahoot!. Much of the studies found allow us to conclude that students that currently attend higher education are used to multitasking and are active users of online devices, platforms and services in both personal and learning contexts.
