A statistical model of an optical network is developed for blocking probability of held calls and cleared calls. The bandwidth is allocated to users on the basis of predictable completion intervals at the servers in the proposed technique for bandwidth allocation, i.e. it calculates the minimum time required to execute the request so that bandwidth can be allocated to another user. Thus, the bandwidth can be allocated in an efficient manner in this process. The blocking probability variation is studied based on the traffic load and wavelengths available at the time of user request in the GMPLS network. The results revealed that the blocking probability drops off with increasing number of available wavelengths. The value of blocking probability remains below 1% by using the proposed bandwidth allocation technique.","PeriodicalId":171125,"journal":{"name":"2020 Indo – Taiwan 2nd International Conference on Computing, Analytics and Networks (Indo-Taiwan ICAN)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116229372","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Tighter legal requirements now exist for the purpose of protecting user data from unauthorized uses and for both preserving and erasing/sanitizing data records to meet legal compliance requirements. To meet the data security requirement, many secure (data) deletion techniques have been proposed to deal with the data security concerns from different system layers. This paper surveys the state-of-the-art secure deletion techniques that have been designed to pursue higher efficiency, verifiability, and portability for emerging types of hard disk drives and flash-based solid-state drives. Meanwhile, the pros and cons of implementing secure deletion in different system layers are also discussed, so as to assist in pursuing better secure deletion designs for future storage systems.","PeriodicalId":171125,"journal":{"name":"2020 Indo – Taiwan 2nd International Conference on Computing, Analytics and Networks (Indo-Taiwan ICAN)","volume":"66 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116944962","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

While it challenges the search engine and traditional information retrieval methods in producing the relevant results, so does the crawler, which does the background job of traversing the web with hyperlink structure to obtain the web snapshot. The traditional crawlers throw challenges of maintaining the right traversal data structure and tracking the already visited pages. Contemporary applications require context and domain-specific crawlers that harvest the right set of pages and data. A focused crawler needs to have domain-specific evaluation parameters to evaluate and crawl the right set of pages based on relevance. In this paper, we propose a novel model – Crawler by Inference to achieve the said objectives using semantic similarity, paradigmatic similarity, and rules of inference. The proposed methodology prioritizes the links based on the number of new rules built or discovered. The model proposes an efficient data structure - an intelligent queue, which holds the links on a priority basis. The resulting analysis data of a page can also act as a meta-data of the page. The paper also presents the results in comparison with the traditional crawler. The model promises to produce better results by avoiding the crawl of irrelevant pages.","PeriodicalId":171125,"journal":{"name":"2020 Indo – Taiwan 2nd International Conference on Computing, Analytics and Networks (Indo-Taiwan ICAN)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114630344","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To overcome the stringent requirements of minimal latency and high reliability of VANET safety applications, physical layer must be robust, scalable and should support low latency. Multipath mitigation is important in such an environment. It has found its application in wireless local area network (WLAN) mainly having static nodes or nodes with restricted mobility but no such work in area of VANET has been focused upon as yet. In this paper we have proposed a technique for multipath mitigation through antenna diversity for VANETs on urban road scenario. Outage capacity, a major parameter for analysis of scheme, has shown an improvement of 35% over scheme without diversity, and significant improvement has been found in other parameters, such as, packet delivery ratio, end-to-end delay and throughput.","PeriodicalId":171125,"journal":{"name":"2020 Indo – Taiwan 2nd International Conference on Computing, Analytics and Networks (Indo-Taiwan ICAN)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132769363","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Taking weather attributes as the conditions, the proposed networks generate scene images with the help of a guided reference image. To generate higher-resolution images, we construct a multi-scale generation framework consisting of a global generator and a local enhancer. Furthermore, we integrate the idea of residual learning into the proposed framework, and aim at generating fine-grained texture. The evaluation shows performance comparison both from quantitative and qualitative perspectives. A comprehensive study including the impact of different attributes and extension of the proposed models is also provided. As we continue to add images to our digital storehouse, the management and access handling of the images becomes a daunting task and we lose track unless properly managed. We are in essential need of a tool that can fetch images based on a word or a description. In this paper, we try to build a solution that retrieves relevant images from a pool, based on the description by looking at the content of the image. The model is based on deep neural network architecture and attending to relevant parts of the image. The algorithm takes a sentence or word as input and obtains the top images which are relevant to the caption. We obtain the representation of the sentence and image in a higher dimension, which enables us to compare the two and find the similarity level of both to decide on the relevance. We have conducted various experiments to improve the representation of the image and the caption obtained in the latent space for better correlation, for e.g. use of bidirectional sequence models for better textual representation, use of various baseline convolution-based stacks for better image representation. We have also tried to incorporate the attention mechanism to focus on only the relevant parts of the image and the sentence, thereby enhancing the correlation between the two spaces.","PeriodicalId":171125,"journal":{"name":"2020 Indo – Taiwan 2nd International Conference on Computing, Analytics and Networks (Indo-Taiwan ICAN)","volume":"30 10","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114039782","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It displays a detailed view of the retail store with the major intent for product placement. The planogram is highly useful for examining the point of sale as it demonstrates the exact positioning of products. Two major benefits are there for building planograms while planning the store layout such as maximizing sales and space of the retail store.An important part of Planogram management is to read planogram drawings and images and convert these to representational data in CSV or database formats.In this part, Contour analysis of image using OpenCV along with combination of text detection and recognition is performed using Connectionist Text Proposal Network and Convolutional Recurrent Neural Network deep learning models respectively. The proposed planogram design analytics system is implemented using real data. The customer had tested the system as per different cases. The feedback obtained from them confirms that the system meets the requirements to their satisfaction.","PeriodicalId":171125,"journal":{"name":"2020 Indo – Taiwan 2nd International Conference on Computing, Analytics and Networks (Indo-Taiwan ICAN)","volume":"69 3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126980541","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Rogers RT/Duroid 5880 with tangent loss (tan δ) of 0.0009, tallness (h) of 1.5 mm and dielectric constant (εr) of 2.2 is utilized as a substrate projected for the printed antenna configuration, having measurements (28×25) mm. Furthermore, another methodology is utilized to design the offset line feed MIMO patch antenna where four antenna components are utilized for multiband activity and a (58×50) mm MIMO structure is created by utilizing the slotted patch antenna. The designed structure is simulated on the CST microwave studio. The previously reported low profile antennas are facing the problem of low gain at mmwave. However, some researchers achieve high gain and efficiency but at the cost of the complexity of antenna design which makes the system very complex. From the simulated outcomes, it is discovered that such antenna is resonating on different frequencies in range (26-50GHz) and having the most extreme radiation efficiency up to 95.98% and gain 9.58dB. Likewise, the proposed structure has a transmission coefficient value less than - 20dB which indicates the low mutual coupling between the emitting components. The proposed antenna structure can be utilized for next age remote applications.","PeriodicalId":171125,"journal":{"name":"2020 Indo – Taiwan 2nd International Conference on Computing, Analytics and Networks (Indo-Taiwan ICAN)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129413525","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
