Since the emergence of web 2.0 subverted the one-way information communication mode and provides more opportunity for public to express and interact online, social media platform has become the main battlefield for many protest movements, including those previously happened in Iceland, Spain, Egypt, and the global Occupy movement. In this movement in Hongkong, it is clear that public opinion on the social media has occupied the dominant position and also led the direction of social movement. In the study, we request data from public news pages of Facebook (FB), analyze the online sentiment and engagement pattern of Hongkong people during protest. Based on the data of FB in 2019, the study initially propose the model of social media engagement and offline protest: Sentiment aroused by news consumption could trigger online social media interaction, which reflect public opinion as well as attitude, and eventually promote the offline violent conflicts. It can be seen that connection between online social media engagement and offline protest movements is exist in 2019 Hongkong protest. Also, the sentiment tendency on social media could promote the emotional mobilization, which is a harbinger of the situation of movement and frequency of violent conflicts. According to this, we found that one of the factor that the government could not successfully grasp the opportunity to have public dialogue with citizen, is that they did not catch the “harbinger” on social media platform, and then failed to reverse the situation of public opinion.","PeriodicalId":171125,"journal":{"name":"2020 Indo – Taiwan 2nd International Conference on Computing, Analytics and Networks (Indo-Taiwan ICAN)","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133712978","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, when data which is from different source and format is lack of collation, integration and preprocess, the server loading will be too heave to process the information on time. This study mainly proposes to establish an Open Platform Communications Unified Architecture (OPC UA) architecture system for IIoT application design and introduces a dynamic node adjustment mechanism to be applied under the OPC UA architecture. The dynamic adjustment node is designed with network bandwidth monitor to solve the problem of excessive network load caused by emergency information transmission in the IIoT applications.","PeriodicalId":171125,"journal":{"name":"2020 Indo – Taiwan 2nd International Conference on Computing, Analytics and Networks (Indo-Taiwan ICAN)","volume":"757 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116118223","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It will cause network congestion and inefficiencies with the increasing number of internet devices in the future. One distributed way to solve the network burden is to deploy the on demand EPC components close to the edge of network (near the base station; known as Edge-based EPC). At present, some researches directly use the current EPC components for edge deployment. However, it causes some problems. When a UE moves between two edge networks, it will face the inter-edge procedures to change of these serving edge components. The procedure involves many numbers of message exchanges between components for the re-establishment of the connection, which will affect the UE's experience. It represents that the current EPC architecture is not suitable for edge deployment. Based on our previous study, we had derived a Refactored EPC (R-EPC) architecture [1]. Then, we determine the deployment of the R-EPC components based on their responsibilities and call this architecture edge-based refactored EPC (abbreviated to E-R-EPC). In E-R-EPC, we deploy the common use of service triggering related components and the gateway responsible for data traffic to edge network, while deploying the components that record the location of UE to core network; thus, the UE can use the low-latency data traffic services in edge network, since the served recording location components are not changed, it can reduce the signaling cost to update the location information. Also, we propose a new handover procedure called inter-edge handover. Further, we compare the signaling cost and queuing delay of E-R-EPC with other architectures, the results of the proposed one showed good performance, especially in dealing with frequent movements of UE between two edge networks (e.g.: high-speed mobility); It proves E-R-EPC is a suitable reference for edge-designed networks.","PeriodicalId":171125,"journal":{"name":"2020 Indo – Taiwan 2nd International Conference on Computing, Analytics and Networks (Indo-Taiwan ICAN)","volume":"2677 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123389789","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Support for the multitude of deployment scenarios is enabled by 5G Quality of Service (QoS) flows. In 5G, an inbound service from outside the cellular network can be separated into multiple QoS flows and scheduled onto multiple data bearers; each 5G data bearer meets specific QoS requirements. These requirements include extended networks, as enabled by UE-to-Network Relays. Typical examples are the networks formed by Device to Device (D2D) User Equipment (UEs) and Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Traditional latency-driven assignment methodologies typically assign a fixed Latency / Sub-Carrier Spacing (SCS) to each multicast flow, as directed by the QoS requirements. A drawback to traditional approaches is they do not account for the impact of multi-path / delay spread, as such they are unable to efficiently utilize the allocated radio spectrum in high delay spread radio environments; low latency flows are more sensitive to high delay spread. In this research work we derive an optimal QoS to 5G data bearer mapping for an extended network, subject to the constraints imposed by UEs and the UE-to-Network Relay. Compared to legacy multicast methodologies, our methodology can achieve an equivalent or higher throughput while minimizing deviation from the original latency requirements.","PeriodicalId":171125,"journal":{"name":"2020 Indo – Taiwan 2nd International Conference on Computing, Analytics and Networks (Indo-Taiwan ICAN)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133190262","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
