This study incorporates the circuit design and device development to achieve the Electroencephalography signal acquisition front-end circuit design for future Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) applications. The amplitude of acquired signals should be strong enough and is usually expressed in the unit of millivolts. The data acquisition procedure consists three stages: 1) The acquisition of original EEG signal can be done by the active electrode and an instrumentation amplifier with a smaller gain; 2) Improves the signal quality by using band-pass filter and band-stop filter; 3) Those EEG signals convert into the digital code through the analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that will be integrated into a micro-controller. The digital code is stored into an embedded memory and is further transmitted via the Bluetooth module. The experimental results show that the system could implement the acquisition and storage of the EEG signals efficiently. The size of the printed circuit board (PCB) for the proposed design is smaller than 5.5 cm2. This system would be a benefit to all involved in the use of EEG for clinical diagnosis and monitoring, or even for the braincomputer interface.","PeriodicalId":171125,"journal":{"name":"2020 Indo – Taiwan 2nd International Conference on Computing, Analytics and Networks (Indo-Taiwan ICAN)","volume":"80 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126323551","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Teachers have recourse to many different types of teaching methods which are however limited when it comes to explaining students about three dimensionalities (3-D) concepts. There are various technologies like AR, VR, and MR that have come into play and are already been used in the field of education. Virtual Reality (VR) technologies are rapidly becoming more popular in the field of education. VR based Learning Environments (VRLEs) create a real-world environment with the help of 3-D models that brings immersion, interaction and triggers the imagination power of the student. This paper shows that VR technology has a positive impact on students' motivation. The development and deployment of a game “Magnex” has been done to explain the concepts of magnetism and its current effects. Reengineering enhances the quality of the software and keeps the software alive for a more extended period. For the last four decades, researchers used a reengineering approach to transform the legacy system, to adopt new requirements as well as to reduce the faults of the system. The proposed work reduces the complexity of the software by applying the reengineering process. Scrum agile approach has been used for implementing the process of reengineering. Work also validates the improvement in the software after performing reengineering. The internal design complexity of the software is measured and reengineering is performed to reduce software complexity.","PeriodicalId":171125,"journal":{"name":"2020 Indo – Taiwan 2nd International Conference on Computing, Analytics and Networks (Indo-Taiwan ICAN)","volume":"473 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126788689","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research work conducted in the research paper highlights the process of segmentation of mammogram images intending to detect the presence of tumors in the breast at early stages so that such tumors can be timely cured and further damage could be prevented. The flowchart developed in the research paper defines a systematic approach adopted to perform segmentation on mammograms. This includes the use of techniques like Green Channel Complement, CLAHE (Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization), Morphological operations, and FCM (Fuzzy C-Means). Mammogram images from the MIAS (Mammographic Image Analysis Society) database have been used for performing segmentation. The research paper features a detailed algorithm that discusses the detailed adopted approach. The GUI (Graphical User Interface) has been constructed with multiple windows to show the output received at each step after appropriate processing.Numerical readings have been obtained for the parameters like sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, positive predictive value, negative predictive value, false-negative rate, false-positive rate, etc. The obtained readings of different parameters prove the authenticity of conducted work. Segmentation enables the scrutinizing of any region within an image. The conducted research work can prove helpful in enhancing the mammogram image and focusing on the segmented image which indicates the presence of microcalcifications. The effectively conducted segmentation enables the radiologist to classify the tumor as benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous). Based on the obtained result the further treatment of the patient can be decided upon. The findings of the research paper are restricted to the segmentation phase of the mammogram images.","PeriodicalId":171125,"journal":{"name":"2020 Indo – Taiwan 2nd International Conference on Computing, Analytics and Networks (Indo-Taiwan ICAN)","volume":"140 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122654742","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

While the data and science remain a challenge, applications solving existing problems have also introduced new obstacles. In this paper, we propose a data science application model called Po-Miner. Po-Miner is a random online poem generator tool based on scraped online web data. Along with syllable counts, rhymes, and other poem notions, Po-Miner induces mathematics and learning into the poem generation. It makes the prediction of the poem generation complex and undefined through the Po-Select algorithm. Though a random poem makes petite sense, the very aspect of randomness brings in the creativity and depth. A security system enforcing a safe transaction is always a need of the hour issue for any system. Though there have been solutions provided from an assortment of domains and methodologies, there is always a noted drawback endowing with scope for improvement. This paper discusses Po-Miner as an alternative and enhancement to the one-time password system as its application. The paper presents the Po-Miner model, implementation, poems, and analysis, and then its applicability in the security domain. The paper presents the Po-Select implementation along with sample created poems. Po-Miner appears to be a promising application that can be extended to several other areas.","PeriodicalId":171125,"journal":{"name":"2020 Indo – Taiwan 2nd International Conference on Computing, Analytics and Networks (Indo-Taiwan ICAN)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134011890","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The algorithm development is done in three phases: Initially, the algorithm for object detection is framed which in result gives us segmented object matrices. Secondly, the object recognition algorithm is framed which in result gives the object label of recognized object. Thirdly, the position of recognized object is found out from object localization algorithm. Vision is vital for the functioning of robots in amorphous surroundings. In an aim of simplifying the interactions between human and robots as well as to carry out the more complex operations, cognitive abilities such as visual perception are appended to the systems for the sake of intelligent operations. The consolidated developed algorithm will recognize the desired object and also gives its location in the world coordinate system. The algorithm developed in this paper proves to be good and fast as we achieve the accuracy of 100% in object detection as well as in recognition algorithm and 98.03% to 99.99% accuracy in object localization algorithm, while considering the unvarying light conditions.","PeriodicalId":171125,"journal":{"name":"2020 Indo – Taiwan 2nd International Conference on Computing, Analytics and Networks (Indo-Taiwan ICAN)","volume":"127 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134338700","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
