This factor is not considered adequately in existing mathematical models of vehicle critical follow distance (VCFD). In order to increase the precision of the mathematical models of the VCFD, a system of vehicle collision warning/collision avoidance (CW/CA) was designed in combination of the VCFD mathematical model with the BP neural network technique based on driver individual behavior. In the design of the system a mathematical model of the VCFD was used as the basis to judge a safe follow distance. A BP neural network model was build to get the parameters' values that reflected the driver individual behavior in the driving process, including the relative deceleration (Δa) and the eventually following distance (Sfl). Furthermore, the BP neural network error back propagation characteristics was used for real-time adjustment of the BP neural network model. Therefore the predicted values that produced by the BP neural network model can closer to the value generated in the driver's actual driving process.","PeriodicalId":169447,"journal":{"name":"2013 Fifth International Conference on Measuring Technology and Mechatronics Automation","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-01-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114168436","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The bending moments generated by the piezoelectric actuator actuators are used for deflection control, i.e., to minimize the deflection. The plate-like structure is subjected to an arbitrary load which lies in an uncertainty domain with regard to its magnitude and direction. The uncertain loading studied in the present paper involves a load of unknown magnitude and direction, which should be determined to produce the arbitrary deflection. Two optimization variables are considered for each piezoelectric actuator/sensor device: the location of its center and its orientation. An optimal control algorithm and three types of artificial intelligence algorithms (AISOOL algorithm--Artificial Immune Systems for optimization of orientations and locations of actuators, ACOPSOOOL algorithm--ACO and PSO for optimization of orientations and locations of actuators, HTOOL algorithm--Hop field-Tank for optimization of orientations and locations of actuators, optimal control algorithm) are presented for the determination of the orientation and location of piezoelectric actuators/sensors in the application to shape control of plate-like structures. Numerical results show that simultaneous optimization of both orientations and locations can lead to optimum configurations that consume less electrical energy and minimizing the deflection. AISOOL algorithm can handle the optimization of orientations and locations of actuators/sensors better than ACOPSOOOL algorithm and HTOOL algorithm. The different algorithms exhibit similar performance. However, exhaustive ACOPSOOOL algorithm and HTOOL algorithm require significantly higher computational effort.","PeriodicalId":169447,"journal":{"name":"2013 Fifth International Conference on Measuring Technology and Mechatronics Automation","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-01-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129782108","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Design of experiment was applied to analyze the sensitivity of each variable, and optimal design was carried out by means of approximation model technology and reliability optimizing design based on monte-carlo simulation technique in the aspects of improving crashworthiness and reducing weight. The result shows that upper rails are the main energy-absorbing parts in small overlap crash. The major factors affecting the safety in small overlap rate collision were determined through the analysis of sensitivity. By contrasting the reliability optimization with the certainty optimization of vehicles, the influence of fluctuation of design variables on quality of product was analyzed. It can be concluded that the reliability optimization is obviously superior to deterministic optimization, which is of great practical application value in engineering.","PeriodicalId":169447,"journal":{"name":"2013 Fifth International Conference on Measuring Technology and Mechatronics Automation","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-01-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129691028","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There is an urgent need for comprehensively understanding the causes, processes and consequences of human-induced environmental impacts. This paper presented rapid landscape change and differentiate the impact of human activities on reductions in wetland natural vegetation in the Lixiahe wetlands based on remote sensing data. We quantified land-use change in the study area using classified Landsat TM (1988-10-25, 2006-05-20) and ETM+ (2000-09-16) images. Over the study period, wetland natural vegetation declined by 69%, which was largely attributable to aquaculture development. The loss speed of natural vegetation rose significantly with increasing proximity to rural settlements and secondary roads, with a curve of the inverted \"U\" shaped response to the presence of towns. These trends are reasonable in that wetland use activities in the study area are directly associated with the settlements and roads in the rural areas at local scales, but are also indirectly associated with the major transportation network from a regional perspective. Meanwhile, we should notice that this change was not of a continuous linear feature, and instead it showed a typical sub-segment function characteristic, which indicated that the impact of the driving factors on natural vegetation was non-linear.","PeriodicalId":169447,"journal":{"name":"2013 Fifth International Conference on Measuring Technology and Mechatronics Automation","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-01-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114074566","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the halftone process, each clustering uses the weighted least-squares model-based(WLSMB) algorithm by use of direct binary search iterative method to obtain halftone image.
