The main ideas underlying the partnership pedagogy have been clarified. The author concludes that the pedagogy of partnership is based on the following principles: recognition of the individuality and uniqueness of the student; harmony of personal and universal values; categorical denial of violence against the child and its nature; interpretation and perception of the pupil as an active, equal subject of the educational process, bearer of his own will; the implementation of a developmental strategy in upbringing, the essence of which consists in concrete matters, concern for the growth of the child's personality, the development of his potential opportunities, self-awareness, about the discovery of his own «I» with all its strengths and weaknesses.The article shows that the main condition of interpersonal relationships in the educational process is the creation of an optimal emotional and value atmosphere with the guidance of the subjects of interaction on mutual understanding, mutual respect, trusting relationships, positive and benevolent attitudes, understanding, cooperation and mutual assistance with an absolute rejection of authoritarianism; ensuring the right of free choice, equality, social partnership.The opinion that among the main directions of effective pedagogical partnership, the following can be considered: adequate understanding by the student and the teacher of the goals and tasks of education; the presence of clear knowledge about the student's personality, the structure of his family, their educational positions and attitude to the school as a participant in the educational process; the school’s educational influence on the student and his family, directly through pedagogical propaganda and through the education of the value orientations of the individual; involvement of the family in the educational influence on the family in school conditions, which increases the authority of parents among children; implementation of a unified educational system for the purpose of forming humanistic values of students; pedagogical culture of parents; the personal example of the parents, their authority, the nature of the relationship; cooperation between the family and teachers regarding the determination of priority directions, forms, methods and methods of education; systematicity and consistency in the selection of forms, methods and methods of working with children.","PeriodicalId":166659,"journal":{"name":"Social work and social education","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132282603","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Various negative stereotypes in relation to the elderly are considered. Connections between stereotypes and the social position of the elderly have been established. The economic, axiological and media reasons for the formation of discriminatory attitudes towards the elderly are analyzed. In Ukraine, the following phenomena are observed: low level of social and economic activity due to insufficient educational and professional mobility of the workforce, insufficient development of institutions and traditions of self-education and continuous education throughout life in combination with a conservative employment structure and inflexibility of the labor market; the existence in the public opinion of ideas about the aging of the population as an exclusively negative process that must be fought, as well as stereotypes about senior citizens, which form a negative attitude towards them and are the basis for their discrimination in various spheres of life.Finding from the survey conducted in Poltava demonstrayed that among specialists, the smallest social distance with the elderly is observed in the family and household domains, and the largest in the professional activities. \u0000It was determined that combating ageism and stereotypes about the оlder people can include measures at the macro level (society level), at the level of certain communities and organizations, as well as individual work with people. Ways to counteract ageism and develop the philosophy of active aging are proposed, in particular, through educational programmes and local initiatives at the community level, introduction of the intergenerational programmes and age-friendly communities.","PeriodicalId":166659,"journal":{"name":"Social work and social education","volume":"32 3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133760663","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To achieve this goal, the article uses research methods such as analysis, synthesis, monitoring, statistical processing of information, and analysis of literature, legal documents.Results: The article highlights the relevance of the problem of HIV / AIDS nowadays, as the final real statistics do not exist due to the fact that many carriers of the virus and patients are not tested. It is important to solve this problem to conduct informational and educational campaigns to promote voluntary testing, counseling on treatment, social support at the legislative level and prevention of infection.The article also considers the mechanisms of virus transmission (sexual, parenteral and vertical). The individual approach to the prevention, detection and treatment of HIV / AIDS is described, as well as the impact of urban processes on the spread of this problem and increase new cases of infection among men compared to women. Parenteral transmission of infection predominates among men, and sexual transmission predominates among women. Discrimination against women compared to men in terms of receiving the necessary assistance and realizing the full potential of HIV / AIDS is noted. This confirms the existence of social stereotypes that shape the overall picture of gender relations in Ukraine, although the level of legislation guarantees the availability and quality of all types of assistance to both men and women equally.The facts concerning HIV-infected women have been identified, namely: numerous discrimination and violations of the rights of women with HIV-positive status; receiving ARV therapy by women with HIV-positive status; access of women living with HIV to assisted reproductive technologies; social services for women with HIV-positive status. All of them must be reflected in Ukrainian legislation.A review of regulations and other documents on the rights and opportunities of HIV-positive women in Ukraine was conducted. National and international documents are analyzed and systematized. The information was summarized and grouped by different positions, which allowed to identify certain features that need to be taken into account when working with HIV-positive women, as well as to conclude that there is insufficient experience in implementing a gender-based approach in developing and approving Ukrainian legislation.","PeriodicalId":166659,"journal":{"name":"Social work and social education","volume":"57 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131147518","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on the analysis of modern Ukrainian and international literature, this paper systematizes modern scientific views on the elderly as a special social group.Demographic, psycho-physiological, and sociological concepts related to ideas about old age, aging, and age limits of older people are characterized. In demography, older people are persons aged 60 years and older. At the same time, current documents of EU and other international organization stress that it is impossible to determine the fixed beginning of old age, because it depends on the individual characteristics of a person and many external factors that can slow down this process.From the point of view of physiology, older persons are characterized by involutive aging processes, which lead to a reduction in the functioning of the body and a higher need for external assistance (dependency on assistance). Psychological representations are based on the fact that elderly people are at the last stage of life, which is characterized by the search for the meaning of their life and reevaluation of achievements, who need self-affirmation and who self-identify with old age. Sociological ideas about the elderly are focused on singling out these people as a separate social group, which are characterized by a reduced social status, certain sociocultural roles and which require adjustments for communication with other groups in society.It was determined that an integrative definition of old age derived from socio-age status and identity is essential for social work. The challenges facing society and which led to the creation of the Ministry of Veterans of Ukraine as a state institute for assistance and support to veterans have been analyzed. The purpose of the article is to determine the role of a public organization in the process of social adaptation of veterans using the example of the implementation of the \"Norway-Ukraine\" project in Chernihiv. The project implementation methodology has been analyzed and the content of social adaptation measures conducted by the public organization in the course of project implementation has been disclosed. During the writing of the article, a complex of theoretical research methods has been applied: analysis and generalization of scientific literature on the definition of the role of public organization and the process of social adaptation of veterans with elements of induction and deduction; analysis and synthesis - to determine the initial provisions of the article; and empirical methods: the OSADA social adaptation test, the test for measuring general entrepreneurial abilities (GET TEST), the Meaningful Life Orientation Test (MLO), the Goal-Means Result test, and focus groups.The results of the program of professional retraining and social adaptation made it possible to talk about a rather significant level of motivation of the participants in their self-improvement. The ultimate goal of social adaptation measures should be reintegration of veterans into peaceful life, inclusion in the system of human contacts at the individual level.In the process of implementing the program of professional retraining and social adaptation, an important role is assigned to the public organization. Since the recruitment of the group, its diagnosis, the preparation of scientific and pedagogical workers to work with a group of listeners, which has its own characteristics, the selection of measures for social adaptation allows to create conditions for a successful process of adaptation of veterans to new living conditions.","PeriodicalId":166659,"journal":{"name":"Social work and social education","volume":"88 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116329046","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Family education of children is the quintessence of the entire spiritual and moral culture of the people.The classification of family functions is presented in historical reflection and ethno-pedagogical context, and also the content of each function as well as its relationship with the ethno-pedagogical context of family functioning in Western Ukraine . We have proven that the phenomena of children’s birth and marriage, our ancestors; awareness of the importance of human life in and outside the family, and the importance of raising children by both parents have an ethno-pedagogical significance to the biopsychological function of the family.The role of labor education of children in the Western Ukrainian family, and the organization and formation of children’s household skills, are notable in regards to the ecological function of the family.The main indicators of this function are defined in the work as the naturalness of the educational process, ensuring a peculiar ecology of the personality of each family member, the responsibility of parents for the lives of children, respect for the authority of parents, etc.As far as the determination of the family’s social function content, we came to the conclusion that in the ethno-pedagogical context, this functional group includes the upbringing of universal and purely national values, the formation of consciousness of one's kind and land, a sense of belonging to a certain social stratum and the Ukrainian community in general, as well as formation of children’s skills of coexistence within their social group and with other social groups in the Western Ukrainian society.We have revealed the socio-psychological function of the family through general cultural processes in the family, the implementation of Christian principles of upbringing, mental education of children by means of ethnopedagogy, ensuring the preservation of ethno-cultural traditions of the Ukrainian family based on the preservation of language, faith, rules and laws of coexistence in the community.It was noted that the foundations of the phenomenon of the Ukrainian family are derived from the depth of Ukraine’s history and the formation of the mentality of the Ukrainian people, which was formed over thousands of years as a settled, agricultural people with its original spiritual core.","PeriodicalId":166659,"journal":{"name":"Social work and social education","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117097719","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Such institutions are intended for the residence of people with chronic forms of mental illness. Usually, these people are unable to live in a family and society due to lost or undeveloped abilities for self-care, self-sufficiency and productive communicative activity. The main goal of the psychoneurological boarding school is to steadily improve the quality of life of people with disabilities, to create a favorable therapeutic environment for them, adequate to their age, health and individual characteristics.The author found out that the special contribution of social work to the field of mental health in the world is that its focus is much wider than the medical model of individual diagnosis and treatment, and involves identifying and responding to social inequalities and structural problems, including using various methods of care and support for people with mental health problems. However, in Ukraine there are significant obstacles to using the potential of social work in the field of mental health, and a significant part of them is related to the understanding of the content of social work, the lack of necessary standards and the practice of involving social workers to work in health care institutions, while not the subject of research is the issue of rehabilitation in the conditions of a psychoneurological boarding school.The theoretical basis of the study consists of the basic provisions regarding the content of social rehabilitation of persons with disabilities through the prism of the activity of a psychoneurological boarding school.We see the prospects for further research in the development of scientific provisions on the structure of a psychoneurological boarding school in the context of departments for recipients of social services; practical experience of social rehabilitation of people with disabilities in the conditions of a psychoneurological boarding school.","PeriodicalId":166659,"journal":{"name":"Social work and social education","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133788850","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
