{"title":"SOCIALIZATION OF THE CHILD IN THE CONDITIONS FAMILY-TYPE CHILDREN’S HOME","authors":"Nataliya Koliada, Tetiana Koliada, Natalia Koliada","doi":"10.31499/2618-0715.1(12).2024.305338","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.31499/2618-0715.1(12).2024.305338","url":null,"abstract":"The article, based on the analysis of theory and practice, characterizes the features of a child’s socialization in the conditions of a family-type orphanage.The peculiarity of the modern stage of society’s development, the contradictions of social relations, the negative effects on the social development of the individual require a deep rethinking of the mission of institutions for the socialization of children in order to create favorable conditions for their social development in modern realities.Today, questions regarding the practical implementation of provisions declared in state documents that define family policy in Ukraine remain partially unresolved. In particular, alternative forms of social protection and family arrangement for orphans – forms of care for children who for certain reasons cannot live with their biological parents (establishment of custody and care, placement in foster families, family-type children’s homes, foster families, children’s institutions with living conditions close to family ones (National strategy for reforming the system of institutional care and upbringing of children for 2017–2026).In modern realities, in conditions of priority attention to each child, one of the important tasks of the state family policy is to solve the problem of orphanhood. First of all, the social phenomenon of orphanhood violates one of the basic rights of the child – the right to family upbringing and parental care, proclaimed by the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.The system of state guardianship of orphans and children deprived of parental care, created for decades, was oriented towards collective forms of child rearing. As a result, the format of social education (in particular, in traditional orphanages) has acquired a number of negative features, first of all, regarding the process of child socialization: children who grow up outside the family adapt much worse in society, as a rule, find it difficult to navigate the role hierarchy social ties, etc.Ukrainian and foreign experience of caring for orphans and children deprived of parental care show that it is family forms of care that are the most effective in various aspects – educational, social, economic.The development of family forms of upbringing, solving the problem of child socialization in the conditions of a family-type orphanage are topical interdisciplinary tasks of the state’s modern social policy, the need for a civilized society and human morality. {"title":"YOUTH EMPLOYMENT AS A PREREQUISITE FOR CREATING A FAMILY IN THE SCANDINAVIAN COUNTRIES","authors":"Victoriia Poliekhina","doi":"10.31499/2618-0715.1(12).2024.305314","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.31499/2618-0715.1(12).2024.305314","url":null,"abstract":"The article is devoted to the study of ways to overcome youth unemployment and identify the main factors of successful youth employment in Denmark as an effective Scandinavian model, given the need to increase the efficiency of youth employment in Ukraine as a factor of readiness to start a family. It is found that the leading factor that determines the readiness of young people to start a family is socio-economic, which involves acquiring a profession and successful implementation in the labour market. It has been established that full employment of the young population as one of the strategic objectives of the Danish government has been successfully implemented in recent decades. It is found that the youth policy implemented at the level of Danish municipalities is based on the values enshrined in international conventions, national and local legislation and is in line with their strategic documents. These include: taking into account the diversity of needs, interests, abilities, talents of young people; creating policies for young people and with the active participation of young people; aiming to increase opportunities for the development of social, personal and professional potential of young people; affirming equal value and equal rights for all; paying special attention to children and young people in vulnerable or disadvantaged situations, children and young people with disabilities; creating a high-quality democratic educational environment for children and young people. It has been determined that municipal youth initiatives are often experimental in nature, and their mechanisms are based on preventive, early intervention with broad involvement of young people in the discussion in the decision-making process in communities. The study identified the key factors for successful youth employment and overcoming youth unemployment in Denmark. The author analyzes the disorders that are currently characteristic of modern fathers, the impact of the mental state and the resourcefulness of fatherhood in conditions of constant anxiety. Attention is focused on the main programs implemented by public organizations to support responsible fatherhood. The author analyzes the main forms that are most commonly used by different actors in the sector to support fatherhood. The impact of the displacement of parents and children and the level of responsibility of parents to their children are studied, with special attention paid to the issue of systemic support for fatherhood in communities. A significant part of the article is devoted to the issue of interaction of the public sector in communities to ensure support for responsible fatherhood. A separate aspect of the article analyzes changes in the way adults perform their parental functions, analyzing the main changes in parenting trends from the educational function to the function of meeting basic needs, overcoming anxiety and fear. Particular emphasis is placed on the issue of overcoming the inability of parents to overcome the state of shock on their own, which will contribute to a more responsible fulfillment of their parental responsibilities. The author describes the largest programs of international partners in the field of fatherhood in Ukraine. The author analyzes the impact of the war on the issue of orphanhood in the country, the importance of the public sector in ensuring the proper placement of children from institutionalized institutions in families. In particular, family-type children’s homes as an alternative form of family education.Practice has proven that the priority forms of placement of orphans and children deprived of parental care are family forms, in particular. The national system of social protection is based on Ukrainian and foreign experience in the field of childhood protection in general and placement of orphans and children deprived of parental care in particular. These issues are the task of the state and public sector of social protection in the field of childhood protection. Creation of family forms of education is a primary issue of public structures whose activities are aimed at social protection of childhood. Among others, the Foundation of the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska.Organization and operation of family-type children’s homes is not new in Ukraine. We have experience in creating such alternative forms of family care. However, in the context of constant changes in society and the economy, there is a necessity to analyze and improve the organizational and legal forms of social security. The purpose of this article is to analyze the organizational and legal forms of social security in Ukraine to identify strengths and weaknesses, key challenges, and opportunities for enhancing the system of population support.In writing this article, the following methods were used: literature review with the analysis of the found material, classification (in determining the types of organizational and legal forms of social security), establishment of cause-and-effect relationships (between organizational and legal forms and their application directions), systematization of research results in the defined problem area, analysis of documentation, and the results of researchers’ activities related to the conducted research.The article’s thesis includes research on the diversity of organizational and legal forms, studying the effectiveness and quality of service provision, and identifying systemic deficiencies and challenges. Special attention is given to the issue of social insurance, its various types, as the most ambiguous type of organizational and legal forms of social security. The importance and peculiarities of the social insurance program are also noted.The research results will contribute to understanding and analyzing the current state of the social security system and will provide a basis for formulating recommendations for improving organizational and legal forms to ensure more effective and equitable citizen support. Also, the museum and archive center is successfully used in the study of individual educational modules of the disciplines «Introduction to the profession», «Management in education», «History of pedagogy», «Pedagogy and psychology of higher education».It was found that the museums of educational institutions are a unique scientific and educational space that expands the possibilities of high-quality professional training of future specialists using modern information technologies. The purpose of the study was to consider the possibilities of applying qualitative methods of sociological research during the study of socially significant practices of social work and volunteering in complex extreme situations (on the example of the traumatic experience of Mariupol student volunteers during the war). The peculiarities of the analysis of electronic diaries submitted by the authors for participation in the social competition as a means of obtaining high-quality sociological information are considered. The article is based on materials from e-diaries submitted for participation in the «Volunteer Heart of Mariupol» competition. The purpose of the Competition is to collect and preserve the stories of volunteer students who lived and studied in the city of Mariupol before the war, now have been forced to move to another city of Ukraine or abroad, and continue to selflessly help others, carry out volunteer initiatives and bring the Victory of Ukraine closer. The competition was held in January 2023 among Mariupol students. Volunteering is considered as a type of socially significant activity, a means of personal response to being in an extreme situation, which, above all, helped student youth to overcome stress and start looking for internal stability, stability in an extreme situation through helping others. The purpose of the article and the views of representatives of the scientific research school on the importance of the role of leisure in a child’s life, in adapting children to a new environment through inclusion in leisure activities and communication by interests are defined. The author of the article highlights and analyzes the problem of the importance of organized leisure, organized leisure activities in the development of social activity and creative potential of a child with a disability. The role of the leisure sphere in the socialization of children with disabilities is determined, which is based on the principles of taking into account and satisfying the interests of visitors to leisure facilities. The role of state support and the importance of assisting children with disabilities in entering the environment and society is determined.The factor of leisure as a component of free time, which captures the child with positive opportunities and inherent cognitive activity of various activities that contribute to the development of the child's personality and his or her free entry into society, is indicated. Leisure is revealed as a factor that can help restore the physical, mental and psychological strength of a child with health complications.The article reveals the leading role of the organizer of leisure activities with children with disabilities, which are focused on the disclosure of children’s natural inclinations, development and stimulation of creative initiative of children themselves. Attention is drawn to and the use of leisure activities that ensure child development and contribute to the emotional enrichment of the child is substantiated: game activities, staging of works of children's literature, various types of artistic and applied activities.
