The use of SIW technique in the design of BPF aims to produce the filter size as compact as possible while maintaining the optimum filter performance. There are 2 designs of compact SIW BPF used for performance investigation which have a difference in the physical parameter. Both proposed compact SIW BPFs are deployed on 2 layers of 1.6mm thick FR4 epoxy dielectric substrate. In order to acquire a narrow bandwidth response of SIW BPF, some metallic vias are arranged in middle part of the filter. The characterization results show that the proposed design of compact SIW BPF has the center frequency of 1.575GHz yield the filter suitable for GPS application.","PeriodicalId":166316,"journal":{"name":"2020 14th International Conference on Telecommunication Systems, Services, and Applications (TSSA","volume":"95 2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134430641","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As the low level of ELF waves received by the antenna, an amplifier is considerably required to enhance receiver performance before data acquisition. The amplifier is built based on a low noise operational amplifier (Op-Amp) OP27 and intended to achieve high amplification in the frequency range of 1Hz to 50Hz. In order to avoid undesired frequency, the amplifier is equipped with the 2nd order low-pass active filter using the Sallen-Key topology with the cut-off frequency of 50Hz. The characterization results show that the proposed ELF receiver has maximum high gain of 60.8dB and high sensitivity for different low level inputs.","PeriodicalId":166316,"journal":{"name":"2020 14th International Conference on Telecommunication Systems, Services, and Applications (TSSA","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129426276","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In line with the development of cellular telecommunication and the internet in recent years, the number of outlets selling pulses and quotas is increasingly needed. ABC Cellular is one of the cellular outlet entrepreneurs in West Bandung with several outlets it has. To improve services to consumers and develop their business, the owner plans to add more outlets that he manages by opening a new outlet. For this reason, it is necessary to determine the location of the land where the outlet will be opened, especially in the West Bandung area. There are several alternative locations, namely: in South Cimahi, Cimahi Tengah, Padalarang, Ciburuy, and Cisarua, West Bandung Regency. The outlet building to be used is in a good location in terms of technical, economic, and security aspects. Specific criteria that are considered in determining this location are land rental price, level of competition, distance from other outlets, consumer access, and location visibility, investment value for the next 5 years, and the development of the number of customers. By using the Simple Additive Weighting method in making decisions, it is found that the best location to open a new ABC Cellular outlet is in South Cimahi.","PeriodicalId":166316,"journal":{"name":"2020 14th International Conference on Telecommunication Systems, Services, and Applications (TSSA","volume":"28 3","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"113981603","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The best performance of employees will be achieved if the organization carries out an assessment. In this modern era, employee performance appraisal is carried out with a computerized system to help make decisions in the assessment process. This system is known as the Decision Support System (DSS) and the method used is the Simple Multi-Attribute Rating Technique (SMART) because the assessment process has many criteria. In addition, to reduce subjectivity, the 360 Degree Feedback method is also used, namely the assessment process that comes from various parties. From the proposed design, it is found how the employee performance appraisal process will be faster, more transparent, and have high credibility with this appraisal system.","PeriodicalId":166316,"journal":{"name":"2020 14th International Conference on Telecommunication Systems, Services, and Applications (TSSA","volume":"247 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128687969","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is because of the high attenuation of high frequency signals with the presence of obstacles in cities, e.g., buildings. To address this limitation, this paper proposes the use of drones with the ground vehicles as relays to strength the signals and hence improve the DTN performance. We model our network in Opportunistic Network Environment (ONE) simulator to study the effect and impact of using drones with ground vehicles on the performance of DTN destination-based routing protocol. The simulation results show that the use of drones with ground vehicles improves the delivery probability to about 33% and decreases the delay to about 25% as compared to the use ground vehicles without drones.","PeriodicalId":166316,"journal":{"name":"2020 14th International Conference on Telecommunication Systems, Services, and Applications (TSSA","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133434157","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is a common to use the algorithm of back-projection for image reconstruction in classical tomography where the imaging beam passes the object in a straight line. Here, the quality assessment is conducted for the image of cross-sectional wood of tree trunk reconstructed from the measured data at some frequency bands of microwave region, i.e. L-band, S-band, and C-band. Two different techniques of quality assessment, namely Mean Squared Error (MSE) and Structured Similarity Indexing Method (SSIM), are proposed to assess the image quality. The assessment results show that the use of FBP could produce better quality for both MSE and SSIM techniques. While the use of different frequency bands is insensitive to the result of quality assessment.","PeriodicalId":166316,"journal":{"name":"2020 14th International Conference on Telecommunication Systems, Services, and Applications (TSSA","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116543626","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We base our implementation on Vedral, Barenco, and Ekert (VBE) proposal of quantum modular exponentiation, one of the firsts to explicitly provide the aforementioned circuit. Furthermore, we present an example simulation of how to construct a 7xmod 15 circuit in a step-by-step manner, giving clear and detailed information and consideration that currently not provided in the existing literature, and present the whole circuit for use in Shor's Algorithm. Our present simulation shows that the 4-bit VBE quantum modular exponentiation circuit can be constructed, simulated, and measured in Qiskit, while the Shor's Algorithm incorporating this VBE approach itself can be constructed but not yet simulated due to an overly large number of QASM instructions.","PeriodicalId":166316,"journal":{"name":"2020 14th International Conference on Telecommunication Systems, Services, and Applications (TSSA","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123706470","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper proposes the development of an IoT-based sensor system for monitoring stop line traffic area using the Atmega2560 microcontroller. The focus on traffic monitoring was chosen because currently traffic enforcement is one of the efforts to reduce the number of accidents and increase progress in the traffic system. The sensor used is an ultrasonic sensor connected to the SIM800L module. The ultrasonic sensor will work when the driver or motorist crosses the line by sending text message to the device, while the camera in the sensor system will monitor and capture images of violation in the traffic area. The sensor will not work if the reading distance above 110mm, since the distance indicates that the traffic line is heading in the opposite direction.","PeriodicalId":166316,"journal":{"name":"2020 14th International Conference on Telecommunication Systems, Services, and Applications (TSSA","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128977521","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, recent studies have examined the most appropriate caching techniques for future networks. Named Data Networks (NDN) is a future data-centric network that uses a cache mechanism to store packets of data in content stores. The main problem of traditional caching techniques cannot transmit large data packets, which high speed and changing depending on customers' requests. Undoubtedly, Machine Learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) algorithms play essential roles in many fields. Recent research adds ML or DL functions to cache decisions, such as cache replacement, content selection based on popularity, and cache placement. This paper performs an in-depth review of integration methods of caching and ML algorithms in future networks. The aim is to understand the goals, contributions, selection of learning algorithms, network topology, caching strategies, and their impact on improving network performance.
