A double-grid layered experimental poster design assignment was assigned to sophomore design students. A self-evaluation questionnaire and expert group meeting followed for comparison analysis. Results showed that students with positive attitudes towards grid-based design assignments have stronger motivation to face challenges, and can solve the problem more distinctly and delicately. Those who consider grid designs as a constraint tend to take conservative and safer approaches towards designing. How to overcome students' psychological barriers and break away from the limitation of personal work habits are proposed as the essential goal for further curriculum reform. The article uses the revised learning engagement scale and deep learning scale in an online learning environment to select high school students in science to conduct a questionnaire survey and collect data. The data is researched from three aspects: overall descriptive statistical analysis, correlation analysis between learning investment and deep learning, and regression analysis of learning investment and deep learning. The results show that (1) The overall level of student investment and deep learning is relatively high, but students' learning interests, the maintenance and cultivation of good learning habits, and their ability to transfer and use knowledge are lacking. (2) The student's investment in learning It has a significant positive correlation with deep learning, in which learning behavior investment has the most significant impact on deep learning, cognitive investment is the second, and emotional investment is the lowest. (3) Students' behavioral and cognitive investment can positively predict deep learning capabilities, and behavioral investment has the biggest impact, and emotional investment has no impact on deep learning. Hwang, Chih-Peng Fan","doi":"10.1145/3395245.3396411","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1145/3395245.3396411","url":null,"abstract":"By utilizing the deep learning model to develop the pedestrian facial direction classifier, in this paper, the proposed You only look once (YOLO)-based deep-learning technology is applied to analyze the images captured by camera to identify the facial directions of pedestrians. To enhance the training effect of mirror categories, the selected images are horizontally flipped to expand the datasets. To avoid misclassification of facial directions, the softmax scheme of the original YOLOv2 model is replaced with the logistic classifier used in YOLOv3, and the improved model is called YOLOv2_ logistic. By the same parameters on the webcam captured dataset, the experimental results show that the YOLOv2_logistic has the best performances on recall, precision, and mean Average Precision (mAP), which are 85%, 81%, 86.28%, respectively. The YOLOv3 tiny has the second performances, and its recall, precision, and mAP is 81%, 80%, 78.83%, respectively. In the frame per second (fps) test, the YOLOv3 tiny has the second best performance, and it reaches 30 fps on the Xavier platform. Firstly, the rules of tone evolution of the old male and the young male is analyzed through experiments. Then, the tone height and length patterns of the old male and the young male are constructed. This study was a quantitative study employing questionnaire as the main instrument. This study utilized six ELR (E-learning Readiness) factors, namely (1) students' readiness, (2) teachers' readiness, (3) infrastructure, (4) management support, (5) school culture, and (6) face-to-face learning tendency. These six factors were transformed into 34 statements in the questionnaire. The respondents were 59 teachers who were the members of Teacher Communication Forum or Forum Komunikasi Guru (FKG) in Indonesia. The result indicated that junior high schools in Indonesia in general were ready to use E-learning but required an improvement with an overall ELR score of 3.78. Five of the six factors proposed indicated schools' readiness. The five factors were teachers' readiness with ELR score of 3.97, students' readiness with ELR score of 3.92, infrastructure with ELR score of 3.82, management support with ELR score of 3.82, and school culture with ELR score of 3.76. The sixth factor was face-to-face learning tendency which had an ELR score of 3.39 or smaller than 3.4. The RNN-VTD method encodes timestamp and day of the week, which are categorical data, to numerical data using label encoding. The label encoding, however, gives magnitude to the encoded values, which may cause misunderstanding of recurrent neural network models, and consequently, the prediction accuracy of the RNN-VTD method may be degraded. In this paper, we investigate the effect of using one-hot encoding instead of label encoding for a feature encoding method in the RNN-VTD method. In the one-hot encoding, each input data is encoded to an k-dimensional 0--1 vector where k is the number of category types. Conventional fault-tolerant routing methods can be classified into two approaches; that is, (1) approach with VCs and (2) that without VCs. However, due to the large difference in the hardware amount required for the implementation, performance comparison has not been made between those approaches. VCs can be added for congestion mitigation; therefore, they can be added to even the methods based on (2). In this paper, we employ VCs in our method [6] which is based on (2) and make performance comparison between our method with Chalasani's method [2] which necessitates four VCs. In this strategy, 166 students worked in groups of 8-9 to create experimental flow charts, to record data and to discuss results with friends on the board. Along with the students' activities, the instructors accessed the boards to monitor student progress and to provide feedback. From the questionnaires, most students reported that they were satisfied with using the tool and agreed that the learning activities were effective. While most of them had never used an online whiteboard before, they reported that the tool was not difficult to use and had useful and attractive features. Furthermore, they gained digital skills and teamwork skills from learning with the whiteboard.
