Regarding the machining efficiency, neither of the two commonly applied strategies for toll path generation is optimal. Whether the approach is based on generation of isoparametric curves or it exploits the parallel plane intersection curves; the full coverage of the surface can be achieved through the tool path redundancy. Therefore, an optimized tool path generation requires additional toll path adaptation by employment of specific path planning criteria. The proposed optimized approach introduces the adaptive tool path planning applicable for manufacturing of free-form surfaces approximated through triangulation. This paper describes the algorithm created for partitioning of triangulation and successive establishing of surface regions that fully cover entire triangulation and enable the adaptive approach to tool path planing inside the region boundaries.","PeriodicalId":164818,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 12th IEEE Mediterranean Electrotechnical Conference (IEEE Cat. Spinning reserve is one of important ancillary services to maintain system reliability in case of contingency. This paper employs the DC power flow and determines generation shift factor so that power generation can be redispatched economically and lines transmission congestion can be alleviated effectively. The linear programming method is used to find the optimal unit generations and spinning reserve, with an objective of minimizing the generation cost while satisfying some operation constraints. Various constraints consisting of power balance and spinning reserve demand, ramp rate limits and transmission capacities limits are considered. The proposed method can be further applied to the operation of deregulated power systems in which spinning reserve is served as an important auxiliary service to help system operate stably and reliably.","PeriodicalId":164818,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 12th IEEE Mediterranean Electrotechnical Conference (IEEE Cat. Charge sharing between extrinsic and intrinsic base acceptors reduces the maximum electric field in the intrinsic transistor and improves BV/sub CEO/. Extrinsic base can be optimized and higher breakdown voltage can be obtained without severely degrading high frequency performance. The proposed topology allows the current reuse and reduces the overall transmitter power consumption in wideband code-division multiple access applications. Temperature compensation and decibel-linear characteristic are achieved by means of a control circuit providing a lower than /spl plusmn/1 dB gain error over a 50-dB dynamic range. A 18-dBm output third order intercept, 11.2-dB noise figure, and -50-dB adjacent-channel leakage power ratio are obtained under maximum gain conditions. Obtained results are compared with and verified by experimental heat transfer data for PE insulated cable. In order to minimize the truncation error arising from the boundary condition choice, two different boundary conditions for the selected boundaries namely Dirichlet and Neumann conditions are applied for different domain dimensions, and, it is shown that appropriate solution domain can be obtained. Then, PE and XLPE insulated cables are compared from the heat transfer point of view. Cable temperature dependency to variations in thermal conductivity of the surrounding medium and loading is investigated.
