Successful research has so far focused on recognizing simple human activities. Currently, the smartphone is equipped with various sensors such as an accelerometer, gyroscope, digital compass, microphone, GPS and camera. The sensors have been used in various areas such as human gesture and activity recognition which is opening a new area of research and significantly impact in daily life. Activity recognition between the personal computer and smartphone is different. A mobile device has limited computational and memory capacity which has a chance that some data are missing when limitation of the mobile device is happening. In this research, some algorithms are tested to perform their ability to handling missing data, they are Bayesian Network, Multilayer Perceptron (MLP), C4.5 and k-Nearest Neighbour (k-NN). Missing data are implemented with increment scaling from 5%-40%. Optimal result based on accuracy mean is obtained by kNN with 89,4752%. Based on class, Bayesian Network obtained mean 992 recognized on Sitting class and kNN obtained mean 1010 recognized on Walking class. Multilayer Perceptron is obtained endurance point with decreasing about 9.9109% from normal experiment without missing data.","PeriodicalId":162729,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on ICT For Smart Society (ICISS)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131110117","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Recently, data-driven overlay network (DONet) approaches have attracted a lot of attention to solve VoD delivery problems in peer-to-peer based network. This paper presents an enhanced algorithm in overlay-network based digital learning built upon on previous research called CoolStreaming. The new algorithm takes into account bandwidth allocation of each node in scheduling content delivery process. The modified algorithm is then validated by comparing it with the previous algorithm. Validation of the proposed algorithm was based on simulation using OverSim and OMNET++ network simulator. We conducted three different scenarios to compare the proposed algorithm with the previous algorithm. The results show that the proposed algorithm has given better Quality of Service (QoS) performance than previous algorithm in all scenarios. The enhanced algorithm has indicated good quality in the investigated QoS parameters, namely delay and throughput.","PeriodicalId":162729,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on ICT For Smart Society (ICISS)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128096071","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This concept implements Information Technology in a city management context by considering local wisdom. This is done because Indonesia as an archipelagic state has a diverse culture. Here, local wisdom is often described as a way to find the solution of various problems that arise in society in local people's own way. Hence, Smart City Nusantara is more prominent than other Smart City concepts by taking local wisdom into consideration. Moreover, most of current Smart City models are more suitable for urban areas in developed countries, whereas in Indonesia as a developing countries, that models are still need adjustment against the local conditions of the region. This research was conducted to study Smart City Nusantara as a suitable concept to be implemented in Indonesia and to know the role of Penta Helix model in developing the concept of Smart City Nusantara. This study is using qualitative methods by conducting in-depth interviews to five respondents representing each Penta Helix model's component i.e. Academic, Business, Government, Community Partners and the Media. The results of the in-depth interview noted that all of the components in Penta Helix Model has their own role in the development of Smart City Nusantara. That components can be combined together in a collaborative implementation strategy to develop a sustainable Smart City Nusantara. Related to that, in this study, the authors draw up a Smart City Nusantara framework by integrating Penta Helix Model through sharper perspectives and local wisdom formulation facilitate the execution process. Other result shows that awareness and willingness among the components of penta helix has been formed, but Doing and Collaborating stages still needs to be improved for the success of the implementation.","PeriodicalId":162729,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on ICT For Smart Society (ICISS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114956002","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To provide those information, we need city analytics, which is a device that aimed to process information to become meaningful, and then visually displayed. To support that, needs data mining. Data mining is a set of processes to unearth any information from data collection, and forming knowledge in a particular group to be easy to analyze. The analysis prediction processes of automation data mining that able to discover the factors that lead to a particular result, predicted the most likely outcome, and identified the level of confidence in making predictions. Mining data to analyze and makes it a model then testing it to form results required by the user or policy and decision makers. At this study, the modeling data analyzed population decision using tree methods, which contained some variation among them; there are a method of Classification and Regression Tree (CART), Carts, Bagging and Random Forrest. Twitter is chosen in this study because of its update intensity about traffic congestion that is higher than those of other social networks. Bekasi City is chosen for this case study because it has sufficient potential of data source from Twitter. Data processing from the social network needs information network approach such as performing information extraction and classification. The classification is performed to distinguish between the data which are related and not related to the traffic condition using SVM (Support Vector Machine). The information extraction is performed to obtain valuable information, including location, traffic condition, congestion causes, weather condition, and time of occurrence. The experiment that has been performed shows that the information extraction and classification method that is used gives a good result and better from previous study, which is 86% for classification, 81% for traffic location, 78% for congestion causes, 96% for weather condition, and 98-100% for time of occurrence extraction.
