The sample of the study included (40) male and female students, who were selected purposefully, and distributed randomly into two groups. The first was one the experimental group that was taught using the active learning method, and the other was the control group that was taught according to the traditional method. The study used the writing test after checking its validity by presenting it to a group of arbitrators, and its reliability by the method of testing and re-testing using the Pearson coefficient, which was (0.90). The results of the study showed that there were clear differences between the scores of the two study groups on the post-writing test. In light of the findings of the study, the researcher recommended training educational supervisors and teachers on practical applications of using the active learning method and evaluating it in the classroom through seminars and workshops in this field.","PeriodicalId":162035,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Education and Social Science Research","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115637651","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Specifically, the study sought to examine the effectiveness of school practice supervision in improving student teachers’ planning and preparation skills; presentation and delivery skills and determine the effectiveness of school practice supervision in improving student teachers’ self-evaluation skills, which forms the frame work of quality teaching and learning process. The study was conducted among Muni university final year student teachers pursuing Bachelor of science with education. Concurrent mixed method research was employed to collect data from school practice supervisors (n=12) and final year student teachers (n=46). Quantitative data was collected using pretested, standardised supervisors’ assessment forms. Qualitative data was gathered by identification of major themes from the school practice reports by each student teacher and during debriefing meeting after school practice using Focused Group Discussion. Findings revealed that professionally conducted school practice supervision greatly enhanced student teachers’ lesson preparation and planning, lesson delivery and presentation, and selfevaluation skills. However, some student teachers still demonstrated low competence in record management and use of instructional materials. The study therefore, recommended that mentors at all levels should put emphasis on ensuring that student teachers exhibit high level of creativity and innovativeness in the entire teaching learning process, if universities are to transform education system in our country. Supervisors should treat school practice as a non-judgmental, but rather, a mentorship exercise tailored towards the professional growth of student teachers. Enforcement of strict adherence to the quality assurance standards on the organization and management of school practice in education training institutions by National Council for Higher Education should be ensured through standardised quality checks and monitoring program. I utilized a qualitative technique with a case study approach to preparing this paper, looking at primary material from interviews and field observations. I presented secondary data, those were, information obtained from books, manuals, and written reports, as proof. According to research on family resilience after taking on the role of the informal family caregiver, informal family caregivers believed that People with Schizoprhenia (ODS) had had a positive or negative impact on their lives, hence family resilience had a more positive impact, such as believing they would be able to survive because they are a family member or relatives. In addition, the ability of family caregivers to adapt and survive in the face of vulnerabilities or problems could create resilience. Meanwhile, family caregivers who were unable to adapt and survive in the face of problems made their families more vulnerable than before.","PeriodicalId":162035,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Education and Social Science Research","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115118895","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
