The human radiation frequency is experimentally studied from 33 healthy human subjects of 17 males and 16 females. KNN classifier is employed for gender classification. The number of training to testing ratio was evaluated at 50 to 50, 60 to 40 and 70 to 30, to determine best classification accuracy. The data was analyzed separately of raw dataset and post-processing dataset to compare the classification results. At first, the data was classified using raw dataset and yields the classification accuracy of 93.8%. Then, the post-processing data was applied to the classifier, and it was found that the classification accuracy was improved to perfect classification on k = 5, 7, 11 and 13 to 15.","PeriodicalId":161995,"journal":{"name":"2011 UkSim 13th International Conference on Computer Modelling and Simulation","volume":"165 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-03-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123264366","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The independent simulation of the behaviour of selected alternative structures for the system to be designed constitutes a classical approach for the decision support systems. This paper provides with a new methodology for affording the design process of a DES that overcomes two of the main drawbacks of the classical approach. On the one hand, simulation is substituted by optimisation, hence it is a search algorithm that chooses the operation conditions of the simulations. On the other hand, the independent analysis of a selected set of alternative systems that comply with the specifications of the system to be designed is transformed in a single process, where the independent state spaces are merged and the redundant information on the different alternative models is reduced. As a result, an important improvement in the efficiency of the algorithms developed for the decision support systems is achieved. An introduction in the concepts of alternative and compound Petri nets, as well as the transformation algorithms is provided in this paper. Furthermore, an illustration of the mentioned concepts is given. The conclusions reveal this approach as very promising, applied to the design of the structure of discrete event systems.","PeriodicalId":161995,"journal":{"name":"2011 UkSim 13th International Conference on Computer Modelling and Simulation","volume":"99 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-03-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121576472","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The energy consumed to route data from the sensor node to its destination raises as a critical issue in designing wireless sensor network routing protocols. MIN-RC uses an adaptive method to control the round time considering the current state of the network. Driven pendulum is a suspended pendulum, which has a motorized propeller at the end of the stick. So it can be controlled with controlling the voltage given to DC motor. The characteristics of the transient response of this system such as overshoots and settling time are not acceptable. For example the settling time of this system is upwards of 10 seconds. The discussed method can improve the time domain performance of this system. The simulation results proven that this method enhanced stability as well as ease of tuning. In this paper, the SRAM cell is simulated and noise margins are obtained while varying several parameters that affect SRAM operations. These parameters are temperature, threshold voltage, supply voltage, cell ratio, pull-up ratio, and process corner variations. In this here, the DFE method be improved using of signal processing technique and soft decision which is called ''generalized DFE or GDFEmethod''. We compare the performance and complexity GDFE with MLSE method for different channels used in GSM systems. The GDFE differs from the conventional DFE in its tap values and value of tap feedback filter related with channel length, which discussed in simulation result. Our simulation results, obtained for fading multi path channels, show that the GDFE scheme improves the performance 1 dB approximately in comparison with conventional DFE. The GDFE method is robust to errors channel and this is a good specific beside low complexity, which is applicable in practical systems.","PeriodicalId":161995,"journal":{"name":"2011 UkSim 13th International Conference on Computer Modelling and Simulation","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-03-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126472507","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Because a detailed simulation of a large traffic network can be computationally intensive, many simulators have been adapted for distributed computing environment, where combined power of multiple connected computers is utilized. An important issue of the distributed traffic simulation is the division of the traffic network into sub-networks. In this paper, we present the Macroscopic-Simulation-Based Division (MaSBD) and the Microscopic-Simulation-Based Division (MiSBD) methods, which are both focused on uniform load of the resulting sub-networks.
