The proposed IDCS has a simple structure to analyse and tune which is based on a disturbance observer to estimate an input disturbance and consequently, eliminate the disturbance rejection deficiency of the double controller scheme proposed by Tian and Gao. The proper trade-off between robustness and disturbance rejection can be obtained by means of only one tuning parameter. Moreover, an analytical study on the tuning parameters is presented. In simulation study the performance of the proposed structure is compared with double controller scheme and predictive PI controller proposed by Hägglund. The results illustrate the advantages of the proposed dead time compensator.","PeriodicalId":161929,"journal":{"name":"2017 Iranian Conference on Electrical Engineering (ICEE)","volume":"220 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131272585","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The media which considered is truncated by a perfect electric conductor (PEC) and symmetry axis. GPU parallel implementation is considered using OpenAcc and the efficacy of GPU for implementing this algorithm is illustrated. Each MG, as an independent entity, controls its generation level using the proposed control structure in order to maximize their profits. In addition, grid operation constraints including line thermal and voltage limitations have been considered. As the advent of renewable energy resources into smart distribution systems, uncertainty in renewable generation and also load uncertainty have been considered in this model too. One is the identification of unique constituent elements of hyperspectral image known as Endmembers (EMs) and the other is their abundance fractions estimation. Accurate spectral unmixing has great impact on interpretation of unknown hyperspectral images. Many algorithms were developed to recognize EMs. Most of them are emphasized on exploitation of spectral information with lack of spatial contents support. Hence, several preprocessing modules (PPs) prior EM extraction stages were offered in order to incorporate both spatial and spectral contents. In this paper, we propose a novel preprocessing algorithm by recognizing spatial homogenous areas utilizing both unsupervised k-means clustering and a novel over-segmentation technique. Afterwards, areas with greater spectral purity degree are found thorough homogenous regions as the best EM candidates for the next EE stages. Respect to experimental results done on AVIRIS Cuprite scene, our scheme can improve reconstruction of original image and extract EMs more precisely near their USGS library signatures. Moreover, it provides a significant reduction in computation time of EM identification stage.","PeriodicalId":161929,"journal":{"name":"2017 Iranian Conference on Electrical Engineering (ICEE)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114348563","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This geometrical representation ignores the surface curvature and the resulting changes in the curvature of the reflected wavefront. As a result the accuracy of radar cross section prediction decreases. This paper uses a bilinear approximation method to estimate the normal vector variations of surface and then uses the curvature tensor to recover the surface curvature data from flat meshes. Numerical results show that the presented method properly recovers the surface curvature at a low computational cost. By using the recovered curvature data in physical optics calculations, the accuracy of radar cross section prediction of a missile model is enhanced 1dB on average.","PeriodicalId":161929,"journal":{"name":"2017 Iranian Conference on Electrical Engineering (ICEE)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115131312","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The refractive index profile of the cloak region is calculated using an analytic function determined by standard conformal mapping. Since the refractive index for cloak region have to be between 0 and 1, and usually implementation of this range is hard, so, the cloak region is compacted as more as possible. Cloak region is divided into some pixels and the refractive index of each pixel is approximated as the refractive index value obtained by the mapping in the center of the pixel. To realize required refractive index, each pixel is considered as a polymeric medium with random distribution of spherical metal and doped semiconductor nanoparticles with desired plasma frequency and filling factor.","PeriodicalId":161929,"journal":{"name":"2017 Iranian Conference on Electrical Engineering (ICEE)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115043452","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The normalized transmission spectra for desired filters have been investigated using 2D finite-difference time-domain (2D-FDTD) numerical procedure in a square lattice of dielectric rods photonic crystal with a refractive index equal to 3.85. The photonic crystal is surrounded air. The Photonic Band Gap (PBG) of the basic crystal structure is computed by Plane Wave Expansion (PWE) procedure. According to the simulation results, by changing the geometry and the refractive index of dielectric rods in both the desired structure, transmission efficiency (T.E.) in the first structure, quality factor (Q) in the second structure and bandwidth in both structure has improved. For the first structure, T.E. for (∼1317nm) with minimum dispersion and (∼1592nm) with minimum attenuation is equal to about 64.3% and 84.3% respectively. Interval type-II fuzzy system is used to approximate the uncertain dynamics of the system. Then, a systematic methodology is proposed to design the dynamic surface control scheme. The stability of the closed loop system is guaranteed by the Lyapunov theorem and it is shown that all signals of the closed-loop system are uniformly ultimately bounded. Moreover, the tracking error can be made arbitrary small by proper selection of design parameters. The proposed scheme eliminates the “explosion of complexity” problem. Furthermore, it does not require the availability and boundedness of all derivatives of the reference trajectory for controller design. Finally, numerical example is presented to demonstrate the effectiveness and performance of the proposed scheme.","PeriodicalId":161929,"journal":{"name":"2017 Iranian Conference on Electrical Engineering (ICEE)","volume":"2010 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123924179","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
