Cyclic mappings satisfying certain cyclic contraction conditions have been used to obtain the best proximity points, which constitute a suitable framework for the mirror reflection model. Alternative contraction mappings introduced by Chen (Symmetry 11:750, 2019) built a new model containing several mirrors in which the light reflected from a mirror does not go to the next mirror sequentially, and its path may diverge to any other mirror. The aim of this paper is to present a new variant of alternative contraction called alternative p-contraction and study its properties. The best proximity point result for such contractions under the alternative UC property is proved. An example to support the result proved herein is provided.","PeriodicalId":16088,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Inequalities and Applications","volume":"38 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.6,"publicationDate":"2024-01-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139481636","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":3,"RegionCategory":"数学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Besides, the new hybrid fractional operator, which combines proportional and Caputo operators, offers better applications in numerous fields of mathematics and computer sciences. Due to its wide range of applications, we focus on the proportional Caputo-hybrid operator in this research article. Firstly, we begin by establishing a novel identity for this operator. Then, based on the newfound identity, we establish some integral inequalities that are relevant to the left-hand side of Hermite–Hadamard-type inequalities for the proportional Caputo-hybrid operator. Furthermore, we show how the results improve upon and refine many previous findings in the setting of integral inequalities. Later, we present specific examples together with their related graphs to offer a better understanding of the newly obtained inequalities. Our results not only extend previous studies but also provide valuable viewpoints and methods for tackling a wide range of mathematical and scientific problems.","PeriodicalId":16088,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Inequalities and Applications","volume":"52 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.6,"publicationDate":"2024-01-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139408819","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":3,"RegionCategory":"数学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this manuscript, we prove that this is the smallest closed submodule and thus replaces the null submodule in the Hausdorff setting. This fact motivates to introduce a new notion in operator theory called topological kernel. Another new concept is also defined that of Pareto optimal element for a family of continuous linear operators between topological modules. It is then proved that topological kernels have a strong influence on the existence of Pareto optimal elements. This work is strongly motivated by the ongoing search for a consistent operator theory on topological modules over general topological rings.","PeriodicalId":16088,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Inequalities and Applications","volume":"35 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.6,"publicationDate":"2023-12-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138823936","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":3,"RegionCategory":"数学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This problem can be cast as a $ell _{q}$ -minimization problem with a tight frame subjected to an undersampled measurement with a known noise bound. We proved that if the measurement matrix satisfies the restricted isometry property with $delta _{2s}leq 1/2$ , there exists a value $q_{0}$ such that for any $qin (0,q_{0}]$ , any signal that is s-sparse with a tight frame can be robustly recovered to the true signal. We estimated $q_{0}$ as $q_{0} = 2/3$ in the case of $delta _{2s}leq 1/2$ and discussed that the value of $q_{0}$ can be much higher. We also showed that when $delta _{2s}leq 0.3317$ , for any $qin (0,1]$ , robust recovery for signals via $ell _{q}$ -minimization holds, which is consistent with the case of $ell _{q}$ -minimization without a tight frame.","PeriodicalId":16088,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Inequalities and Applications","volume":"33 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.6,"publicationDate":"2023-12-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138567082","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":3,"RegionCategory":"数学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
