The method is both simple and efficient for 3D content creation, especially for 3D post-production. The major contribution of this paper is rectifying the stereo video with a nonlinear deformation considering the gravity orientation, which helps producing view-reasonable and non-gap content instantly. In our framework, a new projective rectification introducing gravity orientation into the process is firstly calculated, which better suits 3DTV production than conventional methods. We then apply a nonlinear deformation derived from earlier projective transformation, preventing from the unpleasant gap during the whole process. Experimental results have demonstrated that our method obtains better visual effect than the state-of-the-art methods. After we capture the color and TOF depth images, the processed depth information is warped into color image positions as a form of disparity. Then, by applying the averaging operation in each segment, we obtain the disparity map. High quality stereo material can be produced using vertical stereo camera rig but complex color discrepancies occur because of the optical characteristic of the half mirror. These discrepancies may severely increase an audience's sense of fatigue if s/he watches these stereoscopic contents for a long time. The color matching methods often considered in the post-processing stage of stereoscopic production are mainly based on global transformations between the two views, but this approach can not completely recover local color inconsistency. We propose a new color matching method to correct local and global color discrepancies. We used prior knowledge about the vertical camera rig, SIFT feature matching and pyramid optical flow and modified histogram matching. System uses six phase-only reflective-type spatial light modulators (SLMs) that are configured circularly. Alignment of the SLMs are successful and gap problem is solved by using half-mirrors. The total number of pixels of the resultant display is 11520 × 1080. Reconstructions show that increase in the viewing angle is significant compared to the single SLM case. With the help of the proposed system, observer can see the reconstructions binocularly. As a result, comfortable 3D perception is achieved. In order to avoid eye-hazard, LED illumination is also used as an alternative light source. Experimental results are satisfactory. Now, 3DTV transmissions are usually done by combining both views into one common frame (side by side) to be able to use standard HDTV transmission equipment. Today, orthogonal subsampling is mostly used, but other alternatives will appear soon. Here, different subsampling schemes for both progressive and interlaced 3DTV are considered. For each possible scheme, its preserved frequency content is analyzed and a simple interpolation filter is designed. The approach employs a combination of an optical device and a circularly arranged projector array. It reproduces a light field optimized for a seated condition at a certain volume and forms a ring-shaped viewing area. In this principle, the optical device must control the traveling direction of numerous rays passing the volume. An appropriate algorithm for supplying source images for the projector array should also be considered. This paper introduces several approaches for fabricating a variety of these optical devices in different shapes. Those devices work like a special screen by applying an anisotropic diffusion characteristic. We then propose an algorithm that generates source images and describe an implementationmethod for the 3D display as a system. This paper gives an overview of those aspects. A common aspect of the described tracking technologies is that they don't rely on cues for which it is likely to encounter exceptions in the real-world, like skin-color filtering in image capturing. In order to improve the virtual image quality, a method without preprocessing the depth image is proposed. During the synthesis, the hole-flag map is fully utilized. A Horizontal, Vertical and Diagonal Extrapolation (HVDE) using depth information algorithm is also proposed for filling the tiny cracks. After blending, main virtual view image is obtained. Then the image generated by filtering the depth image is regarded as assistant image to fill small holes in the main image. The proposed hybrid camera system consists of three-color cameras and one time of flight (TOF) camera. Since currently available TOF cameras do not provide color images associated with the depth image, we use a beam splitter between the color camera of the center view and the TOF camera to minimize the FOV difference between two cameras. We capture three-view color and one-view depth videos with hardware trigger synchronization. After capturing videos, we perform camera calibration, color correction, lens distortion correction, rectification, depth calibration, and multiview depth generation for three-view color videos. We showed experimental results using the proposed acquisition system.
