Therefore, there is an alarming call for drug development against multidrug resistant organisms. Hence, our study attempted the antibacterial activity of methanolic extract of Achyranthes aspera against Staphylococcus aureus one of the prevalent organisms involved in CAUTI. The A. aspera antibacterial activity was determined against S. aureus and minimum inhibitory concentration of A. aspera against S. aureus calculated was as 3.6 mg/ml which needed to inhibit the growth of tested microbe. The colony forming ability of S. aureus was studied in the presence of A. aspera methanolic extract using crystal violet staining method and the colony formation was observed after the MIC level indicates colony formation increases when decreasing the concentration of A. aspera. To ascertain the effect of A. aspera on biofilm formation after treatment with various concentrations, the biofilm formation assay performed. The A. aspera can able to reduce the biofilm formation as 80 and 88% for 1X MIC and 2X MIC against S. aureus indicating the antibiofilm forming ability. To prevent the microbial colonization on catheter surface, the coating of catheter with methanolic extract of A. aspera was investigated for its antibacterial activity against S. aureus using in vitro bladder model. The clear zone formations around the catheter piece indicating the anti-adhesive property of A. aspera against S. aureus. Collectively, methanolic extract of A. aspera can pave the way for new antibacterial agent against S. aureus.

At the same time, changes in the profile of natural autoantibodies (AAb) are characteristic not only of autoimmune, but also of all somatic diseases in general, since AAb can, without being the cause of the disease, respond to illness-related changes being a kind of bioregulators of homeostasis and/or immunological clearance factors. \u0000Methods: The enzyme immunoassays ELI-Cardio-Test was used to determine changes in serum content of a 12 natural AAb towards the autoantigens, which are the markers of pathological changes in myocardium and blood vessel walls, in 5 patients with diagnosis of severe complicated atherosclerosis and 5 healthy individuals. \u0000Results: patients with atherosclerosis were characterized by significantly more frequent and pronounced deviations in the autoimmunoreactivity against platelet membrane antigen (TrM) than healthy controls. The level of other natural AAb did not differ between study groups. \u0000Conclusions: It is not possible to distinguish between individuals without atherosclerosis and those with severe atherosclerosis, based on the overall picture of the autoimmune profile for manufacturer-selected antigens. However, the obvious discordance of groups in terms of autoimmunoreactivity to TrM merits further study. Perhaps, it is worth for a manufacturer to modify the set of autoantigens in this panel and focus more on the autoimmunity against platelet antigens as well as add the appropriate information about anti-TrM autoimmunity to the kit leaflet.

At the same time, despite the presence of numerous empirical data in this area, there is no unified theoretical basis for the direction under consideration. On this basis, the purpose of the review is to systematize the concepts of biocrystallomics as a new synthetic biomedical science that considers in detail and integratively the processes of bio-associated crystallization occurring both in vitro and in vivo. In this paper historical basis and current status of Russian investigations, which associated with human and animal’s biological fluids free and initiated crystallogenesis, are shown. Main stages of building, fundamental rules and problem aspects of biocrystallography as a transformation it to biocrystallomics causes are demonstrated. The definition of this science is presented, its main tasks are characterized. The main directions of biocrystallomics are described, which include experimental biocrystallomics, crystallodiagnostics, crystallopathology, crystallotropic therapy (crystallotherapy), pharmacobiocrystallomics and crystal indication. The existing methods of studying biocrystallogenesis are considered in detail, which are grouped into 3 categories: crystalloscopic, tezigraphic and experimental crystalloscopic. Special attention is paid to the factors that determine the features of the crystallization of biological fluids, among which physical, chemical, biological and mixed are distinguished. The 5 main functions of biocrystallogenesis in biological systems are revealed: protective, nutritive-metabolic, pathogenetic, informational and synthetic-biogenic. The holistic theory of biocrystallomics and its main provisions are presented. So, biocrystallomics as a new integrative science about biocrystals is characterized, and its general ways are given.

Most cases of hepatic cystic lesions are asymptomatic and are discovered incidentally during abdominal ultrasonography. It is reported that Caroli’s disease is an autosomal-recessive disorder with multifocal segmental non-obstructive dilation features of intrahepatic bile ducts that may involve a segment, a lobe, or the whole liver. Several complications might be developed in some cases, such as cholangiocarcinoma. Therefore, early diagnosis is vital for proper management. There is a lack of literature discussing Caroli’s disease among Africans compared to Asians. Females are more affected than males. Moreover, most of Caroli’s disease cases were about 22 years old of age. \u0000This study describes the existing case’s novelty in that we discuss a rare Caroli’s disease case of an African male patient; moreover, the patient age in mid-adulthood. In addition, the severity of the current case is that both hepatic lobes showed severe multiple cystic lesions. \u0000The embryonic justification of the case is the large cranial portion of the hepatic diverticulum gives rise to the cords of hepatocytes and intrahepatic biliary networks. On the other hand, the small caudal portion forms the extrahepatic biliary tract. The hepatocytes as well as cholangiocytes, are differentiated from the hepatoblasts under the influence of typical hepatic genes, α-fetoprotein, liver-specific transcription factors, and albumin. \u0000Based on the above, Caroli disease is defined by biliary tract malformation, whereas Caroli syndrome is determined by the presence of associated congenital hepatic fibrosis.

This beverage contains whole milk, natural starter, herbs and salt. It can be produced in three different forms, Shiri (from milk), Masti (from yogurt), and Dooghi (from drinking yogurt). The present study was an investigation into the characteristic features of the lactic acid bacteria isolated from Richal Shiri.\u0000After preparing the traditional fermented beverage was investigated and several tests such as determining lactic acid and pH were performed on it. Next, lactic acid bacteria and yeasts were isolated from the traditional fermented beverage sample and cultured in different media such as fermented whole or skim milk, at different times temperatures and test cultures.\u0000Some strains had anti-bacterial activity against sporogenous microflora S. typhimurium G-38, B. subtilis 17-89, В. Thuringensis 69-6. Eleven Lactic acid bacteria strains were isolated; ten of them were Gram-positive, cocci, and one of them was Gram-positive, Bacillus. Ten strains were catalase-negative and one was catalase positive; the lactic acid bacteria had antibacterial activity by the determination which measuring zone diameters of bacterial growth inhibition. The functions of strains were different but the differences were not significant (p≥0.3).
