Perkembangannya mengambil masa yang lama iaitu bermula sejak abad ke-19 semasa pemerintahan Raja Louis XIV di Perancis sehinggalah menjadi sebuah falsafah yang berkuasa dalam legasi fesyen dunia. Penyelidikan ini adalah bersifat kualitatif dalam mengkaji evolusi industri Haute Couture dan impaknya kepada industri fesyen pada hari ini. Kajian ini dijalankan dengan menganalisis pascapenulisan yang berkaitan dengan konsep, legasi sejarah, perkembangan dan sumbangan industri Haute Couture terhadap industri fesyen pada masa kini. Hasil kajian mendapati bahawa, penerimaan terhadap industri Haute Couture mengalami krisis dalam mengekalkan identiti asli yang diwarisi sejak dari abad ke-19 lagi, namun legasinya dalam sejarah fesyen masih kekal berkuasa dan mempunyai peminat yang tersendiri dalam kalangan golongan elit dari seluruh negara yang mementingkan hasil kerja tangan yang asli, ekslusif dan bercita rasa tinggi. Rekomendasi untuk kajian akan datang adalah sebagai kajian rintis bagi penyelidikan kualitatif dan perbandingan budaya dalam industri Haute Couture.\u0000Abstract\u0000Haute Couture, with a history dating back to the 19th century during the reign of King Louis XIV in France, has played a significant role in shaping luxury brands like Christian Dior, Valentino, Chanel, and Fendi. This research adopts a qualitative, historical approach to examine the evolution of the Haute Couture industry and its enduring impact on the contemporary fashion landscape. The research was conducted by analyzing post-writings related to the concept, historical lineage, development, and contributions of Haute Couture to the current fashion industry. The findings reveal that while the Haute Couture industry faced challenges in preserving its original identity from the 19th century, its historical legacy continues to exert a profound influence and maintains a dedicated following among elites worldwide who value originality, exclusivity, and intricate craftsmanship. Usaha pemeliharaan bersama ini menunjukkan keupayaan untuk mempertahankan karya seni fesyen Peranakan Baba dan Nyonya. Tujuan kajian ini untuk mengumpul dan meneliti kajian-kajian lepas mengenai pemeliharaan kasut manik Peranakan Baba dan Nyonya. Kajian ini menggunakan triangulasi data iaitu menggabungkan pemerhatian, nota lapangan dan analisis dokumen untuk memastikan kefahaman yang menyeluruh tentang kajian yang dijalankan. Kajian ini juga menggunakan ‘Systematic Literature Review (SLR)’ untuk meminimumkan berat sebelah dalam penyelidikan sedia ada. Dapatan kajian ini membuktikan bahawa matlamat pemeliharaan budaya Peranakan boleh dicapai dalam pelbagai cara. Pengumpulan artikel atau jurnal ilmiah, penerbitan buku, konvensyen tahunan, program perantisan, perkongsian maya, rangkaian kerjasama, koleksi hadiah, pameran, dan promosi pelancongan adalah beberapa inisiatif yang telah dicadangkan. Kajian ini diharapkan dapat memberi panduan dan bantuan dalam pemeliharaan budaya Peranakan Baba dan Nyonya. Hasilnya, tujuan kajian ini mencipta koleksi literatur yang belum pernah dilakukan oleh pengkaji sebelum ini sebagai rekod bertulis yang dapat dijadikan rujukan ilmiah kepada penyelidik di masa akan datang.\u0000Abstract.\u0000Kasut Manik or beaded shoe refers to traditional shoes embellished with intricate and gorgeous beads, which are a vital part of Baba and Nyonya’s Peranakan cultural history. This collaborative preservation effort demonstrates the ability to defend Peranakan Baba and Nyonya fashion artworks. The purpose of this study is to collect and research previous studies on the preservation of Peranakan Baba and Nyonya beaded shoes. This study uses data triangulation, combining observation, field notes and document analysis to ensure a comprehensive understanding. It also employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to minimize bias in existing research. The findings of this study reveal that the goal of preserving Peranakan culture can be accomplished in a variety of ways. The gathering of scholarly articles or journals, book publication, annual conventions, apprenticeship programmes, virtual sharing, collaborative networks, gift collections, exhibitions, and tourism promotion are among the initiatives proposed. This study is expected to provide guidance and aid in the preservation of Peranakan Baba and Nyonya culture. However, the use of mural art as a decorative element in traditional Malay architecture is seldom encountered, unlike the three-dimensional carving arts or seni ukiran. The discovery of murals at Kedai Mulong Old Mosque (KMOM) during conservation works in 2009 has laid the foundation for new knowledge regarding the utilization of mural art as a decorative element in traditional Malay architecture. KMOM was initially constructed in the mid-19th century as a Balairong Seri (Royal Assembly Hall) before being converted into a mosque by Kedai Mulong's community in 1958. Originally part of a royal complex, the mural arts in KMOM exhibit the finesse and richness of interior decorative elements, contributing significantly to the study of Malay cultural art and architecture. This article aims to discuss the visual features of mural design found in KMOM as a crucial basis for understanding the mural designs used in traditional Malay architecture, especially in the East Coast Region of Malaysia. The study employs a qualitative approach with two phases of implementation: documentation in the first phase and visual analysis for the second phase. The formal method of visual analysis has been applied to analyse the visual characteristics of murals, focusing on two main aspects: the elements and principles of design. The study reveals that the visual elements on the mural include colour, shape, lines, and motifs, while the principles encompass balance, prominence, pattern, and unification.\u0000Abstrak\u0000Mural merupakan seni visual dua dimensi yang banyak digunakan sebagai elemen hiasan di dalam bangunan lama di seluruh dunia. Namun begitu penggunaan elemen mural sebagai ragam hias di dalam dunia seni bina Melayu adalah sesuatu yang jarang ditemui, tidak seperti seni ukiran tiga dimensi yang telah digunakan dengan meluas. Justeru, penemuan mural di Masjid Lama Kedai Mulong (KMOM) semasa kerja-kerja pemuliharaan pada tahun 2009 telah meletakkan asas pengetahuan baharu tentang penggunaan seni mural sebagai elemen hiasan dalam seni bina tradisional Melayu. KMOM telah dibina pada pertengahan abad ke-19 sebagai Balai Rongseri (dewan perhimpunan diraja) sebelum ditukar oleh masyarakat Kedai Mulong menjadi masjid pada tahun 1958. JUPERMA 1.0 merupakan akronim bagi inovasi Jutaria dengan Peribahasa Melayu yang diinovasikan idea daripada permainan Jutaria. Ia merupakan satu permainan gabungan papan bersama alat digital seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi terkini yang membantu murid-murid dalam mencapai keberkesanan dalam pembelajaran peribahasa. Isu utama dalam kalangan murid sekolah rendah adalah kelemahan murid dalam menguasai peribahasa yang seterusnya akan mempengaruhi kemahiran menulis karangan penulisan Bahasa Melayu. Ini berlaku kerana mereka tidak memahami maksud sesetengah peribahasa yang menyebabkan mereka tidak dapat menjawab mengikut kehendak soalan dan penulisan mereka menjadi tidak gramatis. Inovasi ini direka menggunakan bahan-bahan yang mempunyai kos yang murah, mudah didapati dan turut menggunakan bahan-bahan terbuang dalam usaha kelestarian alam sekitar, di samping penggunaan aplikasi digital bagi meningkatkan lagi minat murid terhadap inovasi ini. Hasil dapatan kajian tindakan ini dikumpul dengan menggunakan beberapa instrumen kajian iaitu secara pemerhatian, ujian awal dan ujian akhir serta temubual sepanjang proses intervensi dijalankan. Melalui inovasi JUPERMA 1.0 ini, terdapat peningkatan minat serta pemahaman murid dalam peribahasa Bahasa Melayu melalui konsep didik hibur yang diketengahkan dalam kajian tindakan ini. Adalah diharapkan inovasi JUPERMA 1.0 dapat diimplimentasikan sebagai satu bahan bantu mengajar guru di dalam bilik darjah selari dengan trend pembelajaran abad ke-21 melalui penerapan animasi yang menarik bukan sahaja untuk murid di sekolah rendah, malah kepada murid di sekolah menengah.\u0000Abstract\u0000This action research was conducted to improve the mastery of proverbs in the Malay language subject for 3 Level Two primary school students through the JUPERMA 1.0 game. JUPERMA 1.0 is an acronym for Jutaria innovation with Malay Proverbs that is an innovative idea from the Jutaria game. It is a board game combined with digital tools in line with the latest technological developments that help students achieve effectiveness in learning proverbs. The main issue among primary school students is the weakness of students in mastering proverbs which in turn will affect their ability to write Malayalam essays. This happens because they do not understand the meaning of some proverbs which causes them to be unable to answer the questions and their writing becomes ungrammatical. This innovation is designed using materials that are cheap, easy to find and also use waste materials in the effort of environmental sustainability, in addition to the use of digital applications to further increase students' interest in this innovation. Dapatan kajian telah menunjukkan bahawa ketiga-tiga buku yang dipilih iaitu Cina Peranakan Tirok Terengganu, Cina Peranakan Kelantan: Menerusi Lensa Sosiologi dan Peranakan Cina Kelantan: Sintesis Cina Tanah Besar dan Melayu Tanah Melayu mengaplikasikan analisis Semiotik Stokes (2003) dengan mengambil kira elemen bentuk, warna dan gambar. Selain itu, kajian ini juga menambah baik tahap pemahaman pembaca mengenai budaya Cina Peranakan agar terus terpelihara dan berusaha mengangkat budaya ini ke peringkat yang lebih tinggi.\u0000Abstract\u0000The initial perception of readers towards a book begins with the attractive design of its cover. Therefore, this study aims to elucidate the visual elements of illustration and photography on the cover of the Peranakan Chinese book based on the Semiotic analysis of Stokes (2003). This study applies a qualitative method involving research instruments such as document analysis and literature review. The findings of the study have shown that all three selected books, namely \"Cina Peranakan Tirok Terengganu,\" \"Cina Peranakan Kelantan: Menerusi Lensa Sosiologi,\" and \"Peranakan Cina Kelantan: Sintesis Cina Tanah Besar dan Melayu Tanah Melayu,\" apply Semiotic analysis of Stokes (2003) by considering the elements of form, color, and image. Kebimbangan terhadap nasib serupa bagi perusahaan tembikar tradisional di Kampung Pasir Durian, Kuala Tembeling, Pahang, menekankan keperhatinan segera untuk menangani isu ini. Kajian ini memberi fokus kepada aspek formalistik dan konsep keindahan dalam tembikar terenang, dengan meneliti secara khusus reka bentuk, elemen dalam reka bentuk, teknik dan bahan, serta pemilihan motif. Kajian ini bertujuan merakam dan mendokumentasikan serta menganalisis aspek di atas menggunakan kaedah kualitatif, termasuk penyelidikan lapangan, arkib muzium, analisis visual, temu bual dengan artisan , dan kajian literatur. Dapatan kajian menyumbang kepada pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang reka bentuk, estetika, serta konsep keindahan dalam Islam. Kajian ini menerangkan kaedah elemen-elemen ini berhubungkait dalam penciptaan seni Melayu yang menarik secara visual dan memberikan wawasan berharga dalam pemeliharaan tembikar Melayu tradisional. Secara khusus, motif Terenang mengambil inspirasi dari sumber semulajadi terutamanya unsur flora dan fauna. Rekabentuk terenang menonjol kehalusan artistik dan pemilihan motif yang disusun secara hierarki yang memberikan keseimbangan kepada reka bentuk keseluruhan tembikar. Kajian ini berfungsi sebagai pendokumentasin menyeluruh mengenai tembikar terenang dan turut menyumbang kepada pemeliharaan budaya dan kehalusan kerja tangan tembikar tradisional di Malaysia.\u0000Abstract\u0000The decline of pottery industries in various regions of Malaysia, as observed in locations such as Bukit Gantang Alor Merah, Pulau Pinang, Lenggong, and Krian in Perak, raises concerns about the potential extinction of traditional pottery enterprises. The fear of a similar fate for traditional pottery enterprises in Kampung Pasir Durian, Kuala Tembeling, Pahang, underscores the urgency of addressing this issue. This research focuses on the formalistic aspects and the concept of beauty in terenang pottery, specifically examining form and design arrangement, design elements, technique and material usage, and motif selection. The study aims to document and analyze these key aspects using qualitative methods, including fieldwork research, museum archives, visual examination, expert interviews, and literature review. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the intricate relationship between design, aesthetics, and the concept of beauty, guided by Islamic views. This research sheds light on how these elements converge in the creation of visually appealing Malay craft, offering valuable insights into the preservation of traditional pottery practices. Notably, Terenang motifs draw inspiration from natural sources, particularly floral and fauna elements. Penonton seni yang bersifat partisipatif tidak lagi menjadi penonton pasif; sebaliknya mereka yang akan menyelesaikan tujuan karya seni atau menguji batas pengalaman fisik. Konteks yang tepat dari penciptaan dan tanggapan memerlukan pembiayaan untuk mendukung konsep \"partisipasi\". Namun, hal ini membuka peluang baru yang mana karya tidak berfungsi dalam gaya ini atau dilema etika sengaja dibiarkan tanpa penyelesaian, melebihi tujuan karya seni tersebut. Oleh karena itu, kajian ini akan melakukan analisis terhadap tiga karya seni interaktif oleh seniman Malaysia tentang signifikansi partisipasi penonton dari tahun 2014 hingga 2019. The viewers of participatory art will no longer be passive; rather, they will be the ones who complete the artwork's purpose or test the limits of physical experience. The precise contexts of creations and responses required funding to fund the concept of \"participation.\" However, it opens up new ways in which works that don't work in this style or ethical quandaries are deliberately left unsolved defeating the artwork's purpose. Thus, this paper will drive an analysis of three interactive artworks by Malaysian artists on the significance of audience participation from 2014 to 2019. Feldman’s theory of art criticism, which has been used in analyzing interactive artworks, is only unraveling from the context aspect of the artworks. Persembahan ini banyak dipersembahkan terutamanya di majlis perkahwinan, maulud dan majlis keagamaan. Pada awal abad ke-20, persembahan Dikir Laba merupakan hiburan yang sangat diminati dalam kalangan masyarakat di Kelantan. Kini, Dikir Laba merupakan satu warisan seni tempatan yang sudah jarang diketahui dan didengari oleh generasi muda. Penyelidikan ini akan mengupas mengenai bentuk persembahan Dikir Laba yang masih wujud di kawasan Tumpat Kelantan khususnya di kampung Morak dan Kampung Periuk. Hasil data penyelidikan yang diperoleh diambil menggunakan kaedah tinjauan, pemerhatian dan temu bual responden. Tinjauan dilakukan untuk mengetahui isu dan permasalahan yang berkaitan dengan penyelidikan, manakala pemerhatian digunakan untuk melihat sejauh mana bentuk seni persembahan Dikir Laba masih diamalkan oleh kedua-dua buah kumpulan. Kaedah temu bual yang dijalankan melibatkan empat orang responden termasuk tokoh Dikir Laba yang masih aktif bergiat. Penyelidikan mendapati bahawa bentuk persembahan Dikir Laba berdasarkan nyanyian dan tarian berkumpulan masih dikekalkan. Keistimewaan bentuk persembahan Dikir Laba ini akan diperjelaskan dengan lebih terperinci dalam artikel ini.\u0000Abstract Dikir Laba is a form of entertainment that emerged from the wisdom of the local community. It It is one of the traditional performing arts that still exist in Kelantan. This artform is widely performed, especially at weddings, mauluds, and other religious ceremonies. In the early 20th century, Dikir Laba was popular among the communities in Kelantan. Today, Dikir Laba has become local heritage that is rarely known and heard by the younger generation. This research will discuss the form of Dikir Laba presentation that still exists in the Tumpat area of Kelantan, especially in Kampung Morak and Kampung Periuk. This study was conducted to discuss the performance of Dikir Laba in Tumpat Kelantan. The results of the research are obtained using the methods of surveys, observations and interviews with respondents. A survey was conducted to find out the issues and problems related to the research, while observation method was used to study the extent in which the Dikir Laba performance is maintained by both groups. The interview method involved four respondents, including Dikir Laba experts who are still active. This research has found that the performance form of Dikir Laba is still based on singing and group dance. Sekiranya ditelitikan, tumbuhan herba ialah sayuran tradisional dan turut dijadikan ulam-ulaman sebagai penyedap rasa merupakan sumber makanan orang Melayu sejak dahulu kala. Selain itu, tumbuhan herba yang berpotensi tinggi dalam bidang perubatan tradisional Melayu dikatakan telah pun diperkenalkan semenjak zaman Kesultanan Melayu Melaka lagi. Sehubungan itu, makalah ini akan mengenalpasti tumbuhan herba yang bagaimanakah telah diperangkat oleh pengarang dalam teks Sulalatus Salatin. Selain itu, makalah ini akan meneliti sejauhmanakah mustajabnya tumbuhan herba sebagai penawar penyembuhan penyakit tertentu. Seterusnya makalah ini melihat manfaat dan khasiat tumbuhan herba dalam kehidupan manusia. Disamping itu, makalah ini meneliti sejauhmanakah orang Melayu mempratikkan amalan tumbuhan herba sebagai makanan tambahan seharian mereka. Justeru itu, makalah ini adalah diperolehi melalui kajian kepustakaan sebagai pelengkap kajian. Melalui pendokumentasian semula pengkajian ini diharapkan ia dapat menyumbangkan sumber khazanah ilmiah untuk tatapan generasi akan datang. Hasil dapatan kajian menunjukkan tumbuhan herba yang sering kali dijadikan makanan orang Melayu dianggap mempunyai potensi tinggi dalam menjauhi penyakit, merawat dan menyembuhkan penyakit tertentu dalam konteks perubatan tradisional Melayu. This paper will discuss the properties of herbal plants especially in the field of Malay traditional medicine based on the events of the story in the text Sulalatus Salatin. Herbs are traditional vegetables and are also used as side dishes as flavorings and have been a source of food for the Malays since ancient times. In addition, herbal plants with high potential in the field of Malay traditional medicine are said to have been introduced since the time of the Malacca Malay Sultanate. In this regard, this paper will identify the herbal plants that are arranged by the author in the text of Sulalatus Salatin. In addition to classifying types of useful and nutritious herbal plants. In addition, this paper will apply the effectiveness of herbal plants as daily supplements and cures for certain diseases. Therefore, the research methodology uses the qualitative method of studying the Sulalatus Salatin text as a complement to the study. Through the re-documentation of this study, it is hoped that it can contribute a source of scientific treasures for future generations to see. Temu bual diadakan bersama orang asli iaitu orang Mah Meri yang berkecimpung dalam industri pelancongan. Seterusnya, data juga dikumpul menggunakan pemerhatian dan dokumen daripada JAKOA, KPWKM, Kraftangan Malaysia dan lain-lain. Triangulasi digunakan. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis tematik. Berdasarkan penyelidikan ini, hasil yang diperoleh boleh membantu wanita orang asli lain yang ingin diperkasakan ke arah teknousahawan dan membentuk komuniti berkemahiran sedia untuk bekerjasama. Tambahan pula, bagi sesebuah organisasi, kajian ini akan berkesan dalam pengurusan sumber dan mampu bekerjasama dengan organisasi lain untuk mencapai matlamat yang sama. The tourism industry is one of the major contributors to the country's economic growth. Human resources of the tourism industry play a major role in the development of the tourism industry. This study aims to explore the human resources of the Mah Meri Tourism Industry towards technopreneurship in Malaysia. Qualitative research is used as an approach to this paper, the design is using a single case study. As we are using this approach, the researcher is instruments which are researcher as an active respondent in this research process. The interview is held with aboriginal people which is the Mah Meri people who are in the tourism industry. Furthermore, data were also collected using observation and documents from JAKOA, KPWKM, Kraftangan Malaysia etc. Triangulation is used. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis. This research, this is may help other aboriginal women who want to be empowered towards technopreneurship and form a skilled community ready to work together.
