Meanwhile, leadership is the action of leading a group of people or workers to complete the objectives and missions stated by an organisation or institution. Alternatively, innovation is a novel method, idea, product, or practice perceived as the new norm by an individual or other units of adoption. The purpose of this research was to identify the level of self-efficacy among teachers in Vocational College of different gender and different graduation status towards the implementation of innovation in the teaching and learning process. Thus, the research method utilised comprised a survey via a quantitative approach, while the instrument employed was a questionnaire consisting of 16 items, including demographic items. Purposive sampling was incorporated and teachers from five Vocational Colleges were involved in the data collection processes accordingly. The findings were processed using SPSS software (Statistics Protocol for Social Sciences). Results of the analytical calculations were expressed in terms of frequencies, percentages, mean values, standard deviation, and correlation. As such, Vocational College teachers were found to possess a high self-efficacy level (M = 4.10, s.d = 0.48) towards innovation implementation in the teaching and learning process. Henceforth, the results of this study can provide useful information to teachers for encouraging extensive efforts towards the implementation of innovation in the teaching and learning process. Efikasi kendiri merujuk kepada kepercayaan individu terhadap keupayaan mereka ke arah melaksanakan tingkah laku yang diperlukan untuk mencapai prestasi tertentu. Kepimpinan adalah tindakan mengetuai sekumpulan orang atau pekerja untuk menyelesaikan objektif dan misi yang dinyatakan oleh sesebuah organisasi atau institusi. Sebagai alternatif, inovasi adalah kaedah, idea, produk atau amalan yang dianggap sebagai norma baru oleh individu atau unit pengguna yang lain. Tujuan kajian ini adalah mengenal pasti tahap efikasi kendiri guru-guru di Kolej Vokasional yang berbeza jantina dan status tahap pendidikan ke arah pelaksanaan inovasi dalam proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran. Oleh itu, kaedah penyelidikan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif, manakala instrumen yang digunakan adalah soal selidik yang terdiri daripada 16 item, termasuk item demografi. Persampelan bertujuan melibatkan lima buah Kolej Vokasional. Hasil analisis dinyatakan dari segi frekuensi, peratusan, nilai min, sisihan piawai, dan korelasi. Namun, secara umumnya murid beranggapan bahawa matematik merupakan satu mata pelajaran yang agak sukar untuk dikuasai kerana mereka tidak mempunyai minat untuk belajar. Pemilihan gaya pengajaran yang sesuai dapat menarik minat murid untuk belajar. Secara tidak langsung proses pembelajaran juga dipermudahkan bagi membolehkan murid memahami isi pelajaran. Kejayaan atau kegagalan murid dikaitkan dengan gaya pengajaran yang digunakan oleh guru semasa mengajar. Gaya pengajaran guru menjadi salah satu komponen pemindahan kandungan pengajaran yang menyeluruh dan sebagai faktor penentu utama kejayaan pembelajaran murid. Oleh itu, gaya pengajaran yang diguna dalam Pengajaran dan Pembelajaran (PdP) haruslah bersesuaian dengan aktiviti dan objektif yang ingin disampaikan bagi meningkatkan kesediaan murid untuk belajar dan seterusnya tahap kefahaman mereka. Mathematics is one of the important subjects in the education system of this country. However, students generally think that Mathematics is a subject that is quite difficult to master because they do not have the interest to learn. The selection of appropriate teaching style(s) can attract students to learn. Indirectly, the learning process is also simplified, therefore allowing students to understand the content of lessons. The success or failure of students is associated with the teaching style(s) that teachers use while teaching. Indirectly, teachers’ teaching style(s) becomes one of the components of a comprehensive teaching content transfer and as a major determining factor of student learning success. Dalam kajian ini, guru Reka Bentuk dan Teknologi di Sekolah Berasrama Penuh Malaysia telah ditemu bual tentang cara strategi pengajaran mereka berbanding dengan persekitaran flipped learning. Kajian ini melihat penerimaan flipped learning, kaedah pengajaran yang digunakan oleh guru, dan pendapat mereka. Kaji selidik itu melibatkan 17 tenaga pengajar dari pelbagai wilayah di Malaysia. Dalam kajian ini, sembilan soalan dari \"Soal Selidik Persekitaran Pembelajaran\" telah digunakan. Peratusan digunakan untuk memeriksa data yang dikumpulkan. 80% guru di Sekolah Berasrama Penuh di Malaysia mempunyai sikap positif terhadap pembelajaran flipped learning dan memberikan penilaian yang tinggi terhadap pendekatan kreatif. Even though flipped learning tactics are crucial for top-notch education, teachers typically struggle to apply the lessons and concepts when using a learning environment with an electronic platform. In this study, instructors of Design and Skills at Malaysian boarding schools were asked to discuss how their methods of instruction related to the flipped classroom. The acceptance of flipped classrooms, instructors' teaching strategies, and their views were all examined in this study. 17 teachers from various parts of Malaysia took part in the study. Nine items from the \"Learning Environment Questionnaire\" were applied in this study. The data that was gathered was analysed using percentages. In general, 80% of instructors at Malaysian boarding schools have good attitudes about flipped learning and give the method high marks for the novel approach. Due to the cognitive, emotional, and behavioural characteristics of their pupils, Malaysian Boarding School teachers have to recognise the right learning methodologies, such as mastery and problem-solving learning. Hasil dapatan bagi teknik semaian batang oleh kumpulan kerja 1 adalah merujuk kepada proses berterusan kepada Fasa ke-3 dalam perlaksanaan PBP berkaitan. kumpulan kerja 1 mengaplikasi tiga teknik semaian batang akan menjaga, mengukur dan menilai keberkesanan teknik yang dipilih. Dapatan data diukur menggunakan pemboleh ubah kadar tumbersaran dan tempoh matang setiap benih iaitu 25 hari. Hasil dapatan kumpulan 1 mendapati teknik semaian batang menggunakan tanah campuran menunjukan hasil yang sederhana bagi tumbesaran. Melalui sampel kajian 17 batang yang disemai, tiada batang yang berjaya bertunas dalam tempoh masa 25 hari. Kadar nisbah kejayaan adalah sebanyak 0%. Konsep PBP dan kajian ujilari lapangan sebenar ini diharap akan membantu bagi projek pembiakan dan penjagaan baka sukun warisan 1890 agar tidak pupus di Pulau Aman. Cadangan ujilari seterusnya yang disarankan ialah melibatkan teknik ke 4 dan ke 5 iaitu kaedah ‘Tut’ dan ‘Cantuman Tunas’ bagi melihat perkembangan pertumbuhan. This scientific research paper on the development of three (3) breeding techniques of the original 1890 breadfruit breed is based on piloting the nursery stem breeding technique of breadfruit tree breeds through the implementation of the project-based learning concept (PjBL). The study is in the form of technique development and sampling through the application of the PjBL concept involving three (3) work groups of 2 members for each work group of the heritage breadfruit breeding project. Project-based learning will be used for three work groups through 3 phases of work including Phase 1: Establishment of work groups, Phase 2: selection of breeding techniques for the 1890 heritage breadfruit breed and Phase 3: Care and continuous data acquisition (evaluation of findings). The work methodology refers to group 1- using the stem nursery technique on mixed soil. Instrumen yang sedia ada mempunyai keterbatasan untuk menentukan ketulenan jongkong emas dan sukar untuk mengesan tungsten di dalamnya kerana tungsten mempunyai ketumpatan yang hampir sama dengan emas. Kajian ini mengemukakan keterbatasan instrumen kaedah ujian tanpa musnah seperti densimeter, alat timbangan, sinar-x pendarfluor dan ultrasonik. Dalam kajian ini menemui kesukaran untuk mengenal pasti emas palsu menggunakan instrumen kaedah ujian tanpa musnah seperti ultrasonik dan x-ray fluorescence (XRF) kerana instrumen ini mempunyai batasan. Setakat ini tiada lagi kajian yang berkaitan pemalsuan jongkong emas kerana harganya yang mahal untuk dijadikan sebagai sampel kajian. Masalah jongkong emas palsu dapat diselesaikan jika ketepatan instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur ketumpatan dapat ditingkatkan lagi sehingga 0.01 g/ml. Ini kerana perbezaan antara ketumpatan emas dan tungsten adalah 0.05 g/ml. Pemalsuan emas dengan mencampurkan tungsten akan dapat dikesan jika ada instrumen yang mempunyai ketepatan sekurang-kurangnya 0.01 g/ml. Manakala instrumen lain seperti XRF digunakan untuk mengesahkan ketulenan emas di bahagian permukaan sahaja. Oleh itu, bagi pengujian yang lebih menyeluruh masalah jongkong emas palsu ini perlu diselesaikan dengan menggabungkan kedua-dua kaedah ini. \u0000 \u0000Abstract \u0000Determination of the gold bar purity by non-destructive method remains one of the most challenging in gold industry especially when the tungsten is inside the gold bar. The existing instruments have limitations in their accuracy to determine the purity of gold when tungsten also inside the gold bar since both tungsten and gold have almost similar densities. This study presents the limitations of the non-destructive test method instruments such as densimeter, weighing balance, x-ray fluorescence (XRF) and ultrasonic in determining the purity of gold. In this study found the difficulty in identifying counterfeit gold using non-destructive test method instruments such as ultrasonic and XRF due to some limitations. So far, there are no studies related to the counterfeiting of gold bars due to its expensive price to be used as a study sample. The problem of counterfeit gold bars can be solved if the accuracy of the instrument used to measure the density can be further increased up to 0.01 g/ml. This is because the difference between the density of gold and tungsten is 0.05 g/ml. Gold counterfeiting by mixing tungsten will be detectable if there is an instrument that has an accuracy of at least 0.01 g/ml. While other instruments such as XRF will be used to verify the purity of gold on the surface only. This research aims to construct the taxonomy of photo categories for teaching purposes and teaching guidelines. This research used a questionnaire and a semi-structured interview with 125 participants made up of 39 male and 86 female, 94 Malays, 12 Chinese, 16 Indians and 3 Ibans. All participants exposed to five different photographs: advertising photographs, journalistic photographs, landscapes, and two fine arts photographs. We used three questions as research instruments for 125 participants to judge each photo: What do you see? What does it mean? How do you know? Also, we used Barrett's criticism models to teach, make a rubric, and evaluate the photographs and our research instruments. From our photo teaching experience, combined with this research, students usually started from low taxonomies. They followed through to high taxonomies, or in a sequence from advertising photographs, journalistic photographs, and landscapes (fine art) to modernist photographs and postmodernist photographs (fine art). They did not have difficulty interpreting elements, design principles, and photo techniques, but they did construct it challenging to analyze the context of postmodern photographs, especially gender issues. \u0000AbstrakMemilih gambar untuk mengajar kritikan foto boleh menjadi tugas yang sukar. Penyelidikan ini bertujuan untuk membina taksonomi kategori foto untuk tujuan pengajaran dan panduan pengajaran. Penyelidikan ini menggunakan soal selidik dan temu bual separa berstruktur dengan 125 peserta terdiri daripada 39 lelaki dan 86 perempuan, 94 orang Melayu, 12 orang Cina, 16 orang India dan 3 orang Iban. Semua peserta terdedah kepada lima gambar yang berbeza: foto iklan, foto jurnalistik, pemandangan, dan dua gambar seni rupa. Kami juga menggunakan model kritikan Barrett untuk mengajar, membuat rubrik, dan menilai gambar dan instrumen kajian kami. Masalah gangguan otot Muscular telah dikenalpasti wujud dalam kalangan responden yang dikenali sebagai Musculoskeletal disorder (MSD), kesan daripada menggunakan peralatan “mengokok” yang diwarisi turun-temurun. Masalah seperti kelenguhan, kesakitan dan ketidakselesaan pada bahagian otot responden semasa aktiviti “mengokok” etak menjadi permasalahan utama bagi kajian ini. Kajian ini melibatkan tiga responden yang merupakan antara pengokok etak yang masih bergiat aktif di Kelantan. Kajian menggunakan metod temubual, pemerhatian dan thematic analysis untuk menganalisis dapatan kajian. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahagian badan yang terjejas secara langsung akibat aktiviti “mengokok” dalam jangka masa yang panjang ialah pada bahagian tulang belakang (back spine) dan pergelangan tangan. Antara faktor-faktor yang menyumbangkan hazard adalah peralatan “mengokok” yang digunakan oleh responden. Hasil temubual menunjukkan, faktor postur memainkan peranan penting dalam hubungkait antara MSD dan masalah-masalah kesihatan yang dialami oleh responden. \u0000 \u0000AbstractThis study discusses the effects of etak harvesting activities among etak harvester found in Kelantan. Muscular Muscle Disorders is identified to exist among respondents as the effects of using harvester equipment for a prolonged time. Few difficulties have been identified such as lethargy, pain and discomfort in the muscles of the respondents during the activity of harvesting etak. This study involved three respondents who are among the etak harvester that are still active in Kelantan. The study adopted ethnographic approaches which are interviewmethods, observations, and Nordic Body Map analysis to analyze the findings of the study. The findings of the study show that the parts of the body that are affected by the prolonged harvesting activities are the back spine and wrists. Among the factors that contributed to the hazard was the harvesting equipment used by the respondents. This study aims to examine the state of readiness of mainstream teachers in terms of knowledge and acceptance of the implementation of the Inclusive Education Program for learning disabilities. A total of 80 mainstream teachers in several primary schools in the district of Kota Bharu Kelantan were selected as respondents in this study. Data were collected through an online survey using a google form questionnaire and were analyzed descriptively. The findings show that the involved mainstream teachers have a high level of state of readiness in terms of knowledge of the Inclusive Education Program, while in the aspect of acceptance, most respondents obtained a moderate level. The results of this study show that many efforts and programmes are needed to help improve knowledge and the level of acceptance among mainstream teachers to successfully implement an Inclusive Education Program for learning disability. \u0000 \u0000AbstrakProgram Pendidikan Inklusif (Inclusive Education Programme, IEP) merupakan satu program transformasi Pendidikan negara yang mencabar kerana guru yang terlibat perlu melengkapkan diri dengan pengetahuan pendidikan inklusif yang mantap, kemahiran mengajar yang baik dan memiliki sikap yang terpuji. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tahap kesediaan guru arus perdana dari segi pengetahuan dan penerimaan pelaksanaan IEP dalam masalah pembelajaran. Seramai 80 orang guru arus perdana di beberapa sekolah rendah di daerah Kota Bharu, Kelantan telah dipilih sebagai responden kajian. Data dikumpulkan melalui kaedah tinjauan menggunakan borang soal selidik Google Form secara atas talian dan dianalisis secara deskriptif. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan guru arus perdana yang terlibat mempunyai tahap kesediaan yang tinggi dalam aspek pengetahuan berkaitan IEP, manakala dalam aspek penerimaan, majoriti responden menunjukkan tahap yang sederhana. Namun kini, kebanyakan rumah kedai lama sedang diancam kepupusan kerana tiadanya proses penyelenggaraan yang baik. Bagi mengekalkankelangsungan hayat bangunan rumah kedai lama, penyelenggaraan terhadap keadaan dan fungsi bangunan perlu dilaksanakan dengan penyediaan sistem pengurusan penyelenggaraan yang sistematik. Sehubungan itu, objektif kajian ini adalah untuk mengenalpasti jenis-jenis penyelenggaraan yang telahdilaksanakan ke atas bangunan rumah kedai lama. Selain itu, kesan dan cadangan bagi kerja-kerja penyelenggaraan yang dilaksanakan juga turut dikaji. Kajian ini merupakan kajian kualitatif yang menggunakan kaedah pemerhatian dan temubual. Berdasarkan dapatan kajian, terdapat prosespenyelenggaraan yang dilaksanakan terhadap struktur dinding, siling, lantai, cat dan fasad. Kerja-kerja penyelenggaraan yang dilaksanakan juga memberi impak yang positif terhadap nilai warisan. Saranan untuk menetapkan polisi khusus bagi penyelenggaraan bangunan warisan serta penglibatan semua pihakyang berkepentingan dalam usaha untuk melestarikan bangunan rumah kedai lama turut dikemukakan. Sebagai kesimpulan, hasil kajian ini telah menggariskan beberapa cadangan yang boleh dijadikan panduan oleh pihak berkuasa tempatan dalam melaksanakan kerja-kerja penyelenggaraan mengikutkaedah pemeliharaan yang lebih baik agar nilai warisan terus terjaga. \u0000 \u0000Abstract \u0000Old shop house building is an asset that displays the history of the identity of the formation of a state and it should be preserved for the new generation. But now, most old shop houses are threatened with extinction due to lack of good maintenance process. To maintain the longevity of old shop house building, maintenance of the condition and function of the building must be implemented with the provision of a systematic maintenance management system. Accordingly, the objective of this study is to find out the types of maintenance that have been implemented on the old shop house building. Inaddition, the effects of and recommendations for maintenance work carried out are also considered. This qualitative study uses observation and interview methods. Based on the findings, the study shows that there is a maintenance process that has been carried out on the structure of walls, ceilings, floors, paintsand facades. The undertaken maintenance works also indicate a positive impact on heritage value.
