Arbet","doi":"10.1109/ICETA51985.2020.9379201","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/ICETA51985.2020.9379201","url":null,"abstract":"In this paper, we propose a digital method of calibration for analog integrated circuits (IC) as a mean to extend the lifetime of ICs and maintain their reliability. The proposed method can compensate partial drift in electrical parameters of circuits, which occurs either in a long-term view due to ageing and electrical stress or is rather more acute, being caused by process, voltage and temperature fluctuations. The digital calibration approach was utilized in an integrated variable-gain amplifier (VGA). Calibration is aimed at cancellation of the VGA input offset voltage. This technique does not require additional setting or test, and therefore, it can be fully autonomous. The whole system is implemented on a chip and it was fabricated in 130nm CMOS process. The power supply voltage of only 600 m V was used. The proposed self-calibrated system was verified through Monte Carlo, reliability and process corner analyses. After fabrication, prototyped chips were verified by experimental measurements over 10 packaged samples. Obtained results fit well between corners of simulation. In essential specifications such as voltage gain, the VGA closely meets the nominal values, which proves the effectiveness of the digital calibration. The measured calibrated VGA input offset voltage is in the range from 13 $mu V$ to 167 $mu V$, while the amplifier without calibration exhibits the input offset mean = 403 $mu V$ and $sigma=3.45mV$ (measured in different chip samples). The digital method of calibration serves as an alternative to other widely utilized methods such as chopper stabilization or auto-zero technique. Therefore, the chopper stabilization was developed for the same VGA in order to consistently compare both methods.","PeriodicalId":149716,"journal":{"name":"2020 18th International Conference on Emerging eLearning Technologies and Applications (ICETA)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114488193","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Several researches have confirmed the impact of technology on changing the teaching approach from teacher-centered to learner-center in English Language (EL) classrooms. In accordance with the research findings that have shown repeatedly technology has an effective impact on developing the learning process. The development of technology in education provides opportunities for learners to experience the new form of learning such as learning autonomy. For example, with the use of computers and the Internet, learners are able to obtain rich information and authentic learning resources for self-directed learning. In addition, they are relaxed, independent, and more likely to take personal accountability for their own learning both inside and outside the classroom. The aim of this study is to highlight the use of technology to improve learning autonomy in EL classrooms. Simultaneously, it enables the learner to take full control of their learning process, which leads to a better understanding of the studied material and learn EL. This paper will be drawn on educational researches and emerging new practices of technology in teaching and learning processes, to investigate the use of technology for promoting learner autonomy in EL Classrooms.","PeriodicalId":149716,"journal":{"name":"2020 18th International Conference on Emerging eLearning Technologies and Applications (ICETA)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126504047","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This automatization is especially needed in the school environment with many students, where a teacher must effectively evaluate the students' results. This paper describes a proposal of a web system for testing configuration of network devices. The proposed system enables students to easily upload and evaluate configurations of network devices. When a student uploads configurations files, the system compares them to golden-model configuration files, uploaded by the teacher. Based on these comparisons, the system is able to evaluate students' configurations and display the results. The system was designed in such a way that the students cannot access the golden-model configuration files - i.e. answers uploaded by the teacher. The proposed system also makes organization of configuration files easier for students and teachers by grouping them into tasks and courses.","PeriodicalId":149716,"journal":{"name":"2020 18th International Conference on Emerging eLearning Technologies and Applications (ICETA)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131488795","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The basic skill they need to have is a critical skill known as spatial ability. The education in Descriptive Geometry is a training of the students' intellectual capability of space perception. But the question is: How to teach the students to reach this goal? Modern technologies have been a great help in the teaching process in the recent years. This paper reports on one possibility how you can use software applications and 3D visualisation to improve teaching and increase students' understanding.","PeriodicalId":149716,"journal":{"name":"2020 18th International Conference on Emerging eLearning Technologies and Applications (ICETA)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128576178","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, its evaluation should be one of the principal skills of graduates of technically oriented study programs, such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or informatics. However, analysis of system reliability is a challenging task, especially in case of systems composed of many components. Main issues in this case are efficient representation of the system and fast computation of basic reliability characteristics, such as availability of the system or importance of the system components. The first issue can be solved by using special data structures and the second one by implementation of existing algorithms using these data structures. A Binary Decision Diagram (BDD) is one of the most prospective data structures that can be used for this purpose. It is a graph structure that allows representing Boolean functions in an efficient way. In reliability analysis, it can be used to represent structure of the system. However, manipulation with bigger BDDs and their application in computation of basic reliability indices usually requires good computer support in a form of specific software tool. The core of such a software tool should be a software library implementing operations that allows fast manipulation with BDDs. In this paper, we present one such library. The library is primarily intended for the development of software tools for reliability analysis of complex systems based on BDDs, and it will also be used as a support tool within practical classes of a course on reliability engineering that is taught at the Faculty of Management Science and Informatics of University of Zilina.","PeriodicalId":149716,"journal":{"name":"2020 18th International Conference on Emerging eLearning Technologies and Applications (ICETA)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130089464","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
