This can be for AC-DC, DC-DC or even DC to AC, in which case several cascading stages take place. As efficiency becomes more and more important, in order to obtain greater mobility (greater autonomy in telephones, laptops or electric cars) there is a growing interest in achieving the most efficient switching-mode power supply. As home grid systems become more popular, solutions are sought to reduce costs and the performance of voltage converters are improved.","PeriodicalId":145923,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Symposium on Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering (ISFEE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129239458","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The implementation is based on a three real poles topology, where unity gain buffers were used for decoupling. Since from the application perspective (low-pass bandwidth), very large time constants are needed for an on-chip solution, the time constants are obtained by using the output resistance of unity gain buffer, where the transistors are biased in weak inversion and loaded by a capacitance multiplier. Based on the possibility of electronic tunability of a capacitance multiplier, a variable corner frequency over two decades (up to kHz) is obtained. The filter prototype was implemented using 180-nm AMS technology. It is shown that for the nominal case, a cut-off frequency of 250 Hz was obtained using a power consumption of 89 nA from a power supply of 1.8 V, for a pseudodifferential solution, and a figure of merit of 0.6 x 10-15 J. Over global variation, for a 50 Hz input frequency and 0.2 Vp-p amplitude, the filter achieves a total harmonic distortions (THD) bellow -58dB.","PeriodicalId":145923,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Symposium on Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering (ISFEE)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127243664","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The overall impact of this uncertainty in Nafion material parametrization on the fuel cell model performance was evaluated here. It was reported the variation of electrolyte potential and ionomer water content in correlation with electrolyte current density and water ionomer flux, along with temperature and heat flux gradients. This aspect is of a great importance when we discuss the utilities’ impact on the overall electric energy consumption bill. In this paper we analyzed the importance of knowing the electricity consumption profile of users, as a paramount importance in the advent of local energy market for microgrids. The research effort was divided into two directions. The first was to identify electricity consumption over a one-week period of the Power Engineering Faculty building, and the second direction was to analyze the values obtained from the measurements. The analysis involved plotting the graphs that show the shape of the load curves at hourly intervals, thus allowing for predictions, and identification of consumption peculiarities, for enhanced forecasts.","PeriodicalId":145923,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Symposium on Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering (ISFEE)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130429975","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The method starts from the symbolic hybrid representation of the circuit, previously developed by the authors for circuits without excess elements. The symbolic state matrix is very useful for example during LR iterations which compute the approximate expressions of poles and zeros. To illustrate this approach, three examples of circuits with excess elements are given, one containing an inductor cut-set, one containing a capacitor loop, and one containing both an inductor cut-set and a capacitor loop.","PeriodicalId":145923,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Symposium on Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering (ISFEE)","volume":"69 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132794776","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
