This aspect is of a great importance when we discuss the utilities’ impact on the overall electric energy consumption bill. In this paper we analyzed the importance of knowing the electricity consumption profile of users, as a paramount importance in the advent of local energy market for microgrids. The research effort was divided into two directions. The first was to identify electricity consumption over a one-week period of the Power Engineering Faculty building, and the second direction was to analyze the values obtained from the measurements.
