Object surfaces are discretely detected to obtain their coordinates and generate a point cloud that can be processed to reconstruct the object's shape and dimensions. Optical sensor-based technologies are the most widely used because they are non-destructive and do not need to touch objects. One of their best properties is their fast measurement acquisition rate. However, one of their disadvantages is the presence of atypical values in their measurements due to their sensitivity to optical ambient noise. Filtering atypical values from point clouds allow the generation and reconstruction of mesh and geometrical models of objects with appearance and dimensions similar to reality. The process of calculating the predictions and estimating the error for academic purposes is exemplified. The results of experimentation based on a MovieLens Dataset are presented. The objective was to measure the quality of the recommendations generated by the prediction techniques studied, with respect to the density of the data. As a measure of similarity, to generate the neighborhood, the Pearson correlation coefficient was used. To measure the quality of the recommendations, the metrics were used: mean absolute error and mean square error. This paper presents how a knowledge flow approach implemented in a process mining project, which analyzes process instances, supports the categorization of the different types and assets of knowledge stored in the repositories of software development organizations. In addition, it provides information for the roles involved in improvement cycles to make strategic decisions based on the types of mining (process discovery, conformance checking and process improvement). We present the implementation of the intervention methodology for the identification of processes, flows and types of knowledge with the objective of strengthening and validating the compliance of software processes. X-ray studies of the breasts, mammograms, represent one of the main tools used by doctors for the early detection of this disease. In this work, it is proposed to mitigate this problem using a system prototype for estimating the suspicion of breast cancer from the risk factors. The system prototype includes a gradient boosting decision tree model for cancer risk prediction and a web system that can be used in hospitals to speed up the consultation of breast cancer patients. The prototype was validated with stress tests, black box tests, white box tests and Iadov techniques for the satisfaction of end users. Spectrum sensing allows secondary users to detect unused spectrum portions as a first stage to enable dynamic spectrum access. Artificial intelligence algorithms have been applied to solve the spectrum use (occupied or vacant) as a classification problem. However, they required vast information set for training. In this paper, spectrum sensing is addressed as an anomaly detection problem. The normal behavior is defined as the inactivity of the primary (licensed) user in a specific frequency band. Thus, an anomaly is the presence of the primary users’ signals. The k-nearest neighbors algorithm is implemented to detect the anomalies in the frequency band. A proven strategy to confront the problem is applying predictive methods used to anticipate the resources and logistics of the security corps. This work tackles the forecasting of intentional homicides using three forecasting methods: ARIMA, LSTM, and NeuralProphet, applied to the 16 municipalities of Guanajuato state with the highest count. The approach is replicable to all Mexico's municipalities since the same data are reported. We conducted an exhaustive search of optimal hyper-parameters of the LSTM and an exhaustive search for the optimal lag for NeuralProphet. In the same regard, different combinations of neighboring municipalities were tested to include geospatial information. The methods are compared via MAE, MSE, and bootstrap hypothesis tests. LSTM improved with geospatial data, so the best LSTM model showed a superior performance to the ARIMA by 23.1% in the MAE and 35.6% in the MSE. On the other hand, NeuralProphet showed a similar performance to the ARIMA according to the bootstrap hypothesis test, showing no statistically significant difference between them.
