Metrics identification in the ISO/IEC 29110 standard implementation for the improvement of its work products: A case study

Abstract

Currently, the ISO/IEC 29110 standard has been released due to the importance it has taken to improve the quality of software products developed by small software development entities. However, even in many of the small software development entities there is a lack of knowledge of the correct application of the different processes and their respective quantitative evaluation. Therefore, the objective of this article is to analyze the documentation of a project presented by a company, to evaluate the implementation of the ISO/IEC 29110 standard, to identify metrics that can be applied to evaluate the status of the project and indicate recommendations.
