The insulation state of cable is related to the safety and reliability of power supply. In this paper, a cable insulation monitoring method based on signal injection is proposed. The low frequency signal is injected and the dielectric loss parameters of the cable are obtained. The insulation state of the cable is reflected by the dielectric loss parameter of the injected signal. Considering the accuracy of the injected signal in cable insulation monitoring, double terminal sampling is adopted. The variational mode decomposition and signal entropy are used to process the sampled signal and extract the injection signal to reduce the noise interference in the sampling signal. However, this technique fails to work on Surface Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (SPMSMs) under all load conditions due to lack of magnetic saliency. To overcome this drawback, this paper proposes an extended pulsating HF technique in which an artificial saliency is created by changing flux in the d axis, based on the knowledge of the load applied on the motor shaft. The consequent variation of the d and q axis inductances introduces sufficient magnetic saliency to detect the rotor position at all load conditions. Based on this method, this article has improved the Dual-Active-Bridge (DAB) converter optimization control strategy. Compared with the conventional analytical method, it avoids the process of solving the equations of the external shift compared to D2 and the internal shift compared to D1 and the voltage regulation ratio, and it also avoids the more complicated closed-loop system design. By discarding the condition that the partial derivative of the Lagrangian multiplier by the function is zero, the intersection point of several planes, that is, the continuous optimal trajectory, is obtained, thereby obtaining the optimal phase shift angle. An experimental prototype is built to compare the inductor current stress under the optimal solution combination with the stress of the non-optimal combination. To lower the power losses and peak junction temperature, the asymmetrical half-bridge IGBT modules were proposed, according to the unequal current distribution of MMC submodules (SMs). The modules were analyzed through power loss calculation and chips’ surface temperature distribution schemes by simulation. The results showed that the power loss and peak junction temperature of the proposed modules were reduced, and the reliability was enhanced at the same time. Firstly, the topological structure and principle of the TMEHA-PMSLM is introduced. Then, the analytic model, based on harmonic analytical theory, was proposed to analysis the effectiveness of the TMEHA. Thirdly, the electromagnetic impact of structural design changes on the coils arrangement is considered with respect to thrust density and ripple. Finally, the accuracy of the analytic model is confirmed by comparing it with 2-D finite-element model (FEA) and with experimental results. The MIC uses four-quadrant switches, only one inductor and capacitor. It is capable of bidirectional operation in non-inverting buck-boost configuration and can accommodate the simultaneous transfer of energy from more than one source of different voltage levels to the DC bus. This MIC is analysed for two inputs in this paper. As compared to existing MICs in literature, the proposed converter utilizes less number of inductors and requires only one switch to integrate any extra energy storage. In general, the high CMV generates the large common-mode current, which causes electromagnetic emissions and motor damage. Also, the large DCC aggravates the lifespan and increases the size of the DC-link capacitors. Therefore, decreasing the CMV and DCC is necessary in the VSI systems. For this purpose, various PWM strategies, such as active zero-state PWM, near-state PWM, extended double-carrier PWM, and multi-carrier generalized discontinuous PWM, are reviewed. Furthermore, based on these PWM strategies, the PWM selection method is proposed to effectively reduce the CMV and DCC. The 180W machine is intended to actuate an automotive clutch thus, installed in an ambient temperature up to 140◦C. In such machine, to make sure that a precise prediction of the temperature inside the machine can be achieved, deduction of thermal resistance of anisotropic component, surface contact, and external casing convection need particular attention. The external casing convection has been experimentally identified. The contact resistance between components were computed using effective airgap. The method used to compute thermal resistances of anisotropic component and surface contact are explained. The identification method used to deduce the thermal resistance of external surface is also presented. However, the efficiency of the IBRDC largely depends on the resonant parameters. These parameters are coupled to each other and are limited by several constraints, especially the voltage regulation range, making these parameters difficult to optimize. Besides, the quantitative influence of the constraints remains to be analyzed. In this paper, a parameter optimization strategy based on the minimization of resonant current with multiple constraints is proposed, which effectively reduces the difficulty of the IBRDC parameter design and therefore has high engineering application value. Firstly, the system structure of PMSG-based wind turbine generator is described. The analytical impedance models of generator-side converter’s dc-port and grid- side converter’s ac-port are established, respectively, and the corresponding measured impedances are obtained by frequency scanning. Then, the identifiability of the controller parameters is demonstrated by parameter sensitivity analysis in impedance magnitude. On this basis, the controller parameters are identified by applying the nonlinear least-square algorithm to the analytical and measured impedances.
