Firstly, the topological structure and principle of the TMEHA-PMSLM is introduced. Then, the analytic model, based on harmonic analytical theory, was proposed to analysis the effectiveness of the TMEHA. Thirdly, the electromagnetic impact of structural design changes on the coils arrangement is considered with respect to thrust density and ripple. Finally, the accuracy of the analytic model is confirmed by comparing it with 2-D finite-element model (FEA) and with experimental results.
