Given task is problematic both\u0000theoretically and empirically, as the suburban space is not only a physical residence place of the inhabitants, but also an\u0000environment of their life with all interactions and social relations. It is possible to speak about several main types of suburban\u0000spaces in Ukraine, each characterized by the specific nature of changes and the way of residents’ life. Moreover, it is almost\u0000impossible nowadays to talk about the typical everyday life and everyday practices in the suburbia, as the latter becomes\u0000more and more heterogeneous as a result of the mixing, interaction and hybridization of various forms and practices,\u0000quite often within individual settlements. Investigating suburban inhabitants in the context of their daily life as residents,\u0000consumers, workers, and citizens through everyday practices provides an opportunity for a comprehensive understanding\u0000of the economic, social, cultural, and urban planning domains of the suburbia functioning in its relationship with the\u0000central city. Analyzed daily practices are related to the main components of human activity: accommodation, consumption,\u0000reproduction and upbringing of children, work, recreation, leisure and sports, education and cultural development, civic\u0000activity, mobility. The transformation of everyday practices is presented in the context of urban environment changes\u0000and emergence of new residents, orientation of residents to external interactions and meeting the needs in the central\u0000city/own settlement, mutual transformation and combination of old and new everyday practices. Changes in everyday\u0000practices have been identified in connection with the transformation of specific suburban areas, the behavior of residents\u0000and, ultimately, identity, and the factors of changes in everyday practices were revealed for different types of suburban\u0000spaces on the examples of Kyiv and Vinnytsia. The case studies show that transformations of the suburban spaces of Kyiv\u0000and Vinnytsia have similar driving forces, and the main consequences as well: radical change in population structure; loss\u0000or hybrid nature of the local identity of suburban settlements; advancing development of housing with underdeveloped\u0000engineering and social infrastructure; increasing heterogeneity, fragmentation and polycentricism of suburban spaces;\u0000growing the suburbia’s dependence on the central city

As a result of the city’s spatial development and growth, numerous functional transformations are taking place. They are manifested differently in different urban zones and sectors – from the centre to the periphery and at the same time in different directions. The main roads diverging from the central business district to the city outskirts and further to the suburbs usually become the key axes of transformations. The study of spatial-functional transformations along the main roads of the city is stemmed from the studies on the justification of urban space zoning (functional zoning), identification of their features and ways to improve them, analysis of various transformations of the urban space and problems of spatial expansion of the city along the highways. Two Kyiv’s linear main roads from the city centre to the periphery and nearby suburbs were chosen as research cases – in the western direction (Lesia Ukrainka Boulevard – Taras Shevchenko Boulevard – Beresteysky Avenue) and in the south-eastern direction (Mykola Bazhan Avenue – Boryspilske Highway). The research involves a combination of both observations and GIS analysis and mapping. The article claims that the differently directed linear main roads in Kyiv have a different characteristics of concentration and spatial scale of functional zones, their combination and degree of fragmentation, different specifics of the formation of local gravity centres, which is caused both by the nature of the city's development, planning shortcomings of the previous period, and current urban planning restrictions. Closer to the city centre, there is an increase in multi-functionality and functional fragmentation of space along the main roads. Industrial spaces located closer to the periphery are transforming mainly into residential spaces with varying degrees of combination with administrative-office and service functions. In the nearby suburbs, manifestations of urban sprawl are observed as a result of primarily residential and commercial suburbanisation.

The content and classification of the “tourist infrastructure” concept are analyzed on the basis of domestic and foreign approaches. The authors tried to define main components of tourist infrastructure. Successful development of tourist industry is impossible without appropriate tourist infrastructure, ensuring material and technical provision for tourism and plays an important role in satisfying of tourists’ needs. Despite an enormous quantity of scientific researches connected with tourist infrastructure development, there is a lack of its single definition acceptable for all scientists.\u0000In Ukraine tourist infrastructure is usually defined as a combination of certain facilities ensuring tourist activity and providing hosting, servicing and transporting for tourists: hotels, tourist complexes, campings, motels, boarding houses, catering, transport businesses, cultural and sports facilities etc. However, a strict definition to characterize tourist infrastructure does not exist. That is why a large number of approaches to tourist infrastructure take place. In our article we examined the researches of the scientists, who have worked on this issue: T. O. Volkova, H. J. Dovhopola, I. V. Yerko, J. S. Korabelnikova, D. A. Korneva, S. P. Kuzyk, I. M. Minich, O. V. Mischenko, V. I. Novikova, M. J. Rutynskyj, O. V. Stetsjuk, L. M. Cherchyk, I. M. Materials from Tourism and Transport Forum, 2012, covering the structuring of tourist infrastructure into 4 types, were also important for our elaboration.\u0000Tourist infrastructure includes a large amount of services necessary to satisfy tourist’s demands and ensure comfortable stay at the destination, thus promoting its attractiveness. We distinguish between the main (accommodation and catering, communication, tour operators), additional (entertainment and recreation facilities, tourism information giving centers, specialized shopping facilities) and maintenance (checkpoints, petrol stations, banking institutions, insurance groups, health protection and public utility services) tourist infrastructure.

It is focused on people, improvement of socio-economic and ecological environment. The participation of citizens and in particular every person in ensuring sustainable development is an integral part of life on the planet, as the intellectual level, ecological behavior of the population and knowledge of the main problems help to solve them. In this study, we present the results of a survey of the population of one of the largest cities in the north of Ukraine. Chernihiv is an administrative, industrial and cultural center, an important transport hub. As part of the sociological study and comparison of environmental behavior of the population, a survey was conducted among the residents of Chernihiv in 2018 and 2021. It is established that more and more people are interested in the ecology of the city and are gradually introducing ecoattributive practices into their everyday life. The main measures used by the citizens of the city to preserve the environment are energy saving, use of public and bicycle transport, economical consumption of natural resources. Residents of Chernihiv and the authorities understand the need to build a waste processing plant. Garbage sorting is supported by the majority of the population, but there is a certain lack of awareness among people, as well as a lack of proper equipment. The article identified environmental problems that Chernihiv residents consider to be the most serious. They include the organization of waste management, air pollution, drinking water quality. The second stage of the research showed that more people are ready to take concrete actions to improve the state of the city and the environment in order to live in a comfortable space. An important role in solving problems depends on environmental education and environmental education of citizens.

At the same time, urban regeneration should have a multi-vector nature and take into account various aspects of urban functions. One such aspect is a regeneration of industrial spaces (browfields), which cover significant areas in Ukrainian industrial cities. This is confirmed by the significant experience of leading countries in Europe and throughout the world in providing “a second life” to their former industrial areas. The article discusses the use of somewhat synonymous concepts, which, however, reflect different aspects of urban regeneration: reorganization, reconstruction, renovation, redevelopment, brownfield, revalorization, and revitalization. The empirical study focuses on the prospects for the regeneration of dump complexes as a component of the mining landscapes in Kryvyi Rih. The author analyzes possibilities for their transformation and groups the dumps according to their potential for regeneration. Presenting the current state of the dumps and prospective for their regeneration, the author focuses on their potential use for recreation and tourism, as well as for various types of leisure activities. The author's own methodology for rating the suitability of the most attractive city dumps for regeneration is proposed. According to this methodology, the selected dumps received rating points for each of the specified criteria, which resulted in the identification of their overall rating place. The article outlines a project for the creation of an industrial landscape park on the site of the Burshchytsky dump, highlighting possibilities for its future use as a touristic attraction.

Road maintenance costs can be from 5 to 10% of the state budget per year. On the other hand, it should be noted that vehicle owners make significant contributions to the state budget of Ukraine through direct and indirect taxes. The road network has a lot of problems in terms of efficient functioning. One of the main problems is insufficient financing of road repair works. The aim of the study is to determine the spatial features of the road network of Western Ukraine, and the main task - to analyze, based on open data OpenStreetMap, the accessibility of the road network in the context of regions, districts and cities of regional subordination of Western Ukraine using the indicators the transport network density and the Engel’s coefficient. Due to the difficulty of accessing official statistics at the local level, both official statistics and open data from the OpenStreetMap mapping service were used. As a result of the research it was revealed: relatively even distribution over the territory, lack of sharp fluctuations in the availability level (the maximum and minimum value of the Engel’s coefficient differs only by 5.7 times); the most important roads (primary and secondary) connect regional centers and the largest cities with each other and with the state border; the largest road hub in Western Ukraine is the city of Lviv; among the districts, the highest accessibility of roads is observed in the western part of Volyn oblast, western and central parts of Chernivtsi oblast and southern part of Rivne oblast; increased concentration of roads in Precarpathian (an area of old industrial development); reduced concentration in the Ukrainian Carpathians and in the northeast of the region (north of Rivne region). In general, at the local level (districts, cities of regional subordination) the same patterns can be observed as at the regional level (regions).

Agribusiness has a powerful resource mechanism that will contribute to the further progress of production activities and the implementation of reforms in the countryside. The article examines the current state of agribusiness in Ukraine, outlining a set of traditional and new factors influencing the development of the industry and determining the peculiarities, including innovation, of its current development. Despite the presence of a whole range of economic, social and political problems, the agriculture of Ukraine is developing rapidly. Entrepreneurship within the framework of the global marketing megatrend Super Food for the production of products of predominantly plant origin, in which the concentration of nutrients is very high, can have a significant impact on the development of domestic agribusiness in the future. Ukrainian craft producers are increasingly joining the international Slow Food movement, which is saving the biodiversity of products, recipes and dishes in the world. This opens up opportunities for domestic producers to participate in foreign festivals and further popularize local agricultural products. However, along with an increase in production and in exports, foreign exchange earnings and tax revenues, the following issues are aggravated: strengthening of agricultural logistics in a “pandemic” economy; adaptation of legislation, regulatory framework and technologies in the European Green Deal (EU Green Deal) increasing the social responsibility of agribusiness, its innovativeness, safety, and competitiveness in the domestic and foreign markets. The unstable situation due to the Covid-19 pandemic led to a reduction in acreage and a decrease in demand for fertilizers. There is a reorientation of farming from expensive mineral fertilizers to cheaper analogues; the exhaustive use of soils could lead to their losses in the near future. Threats have been tracked and the main strategic directions for the development of the agribusiness have been identified, which should be guided by to ensure the profitability of enterprises in the long term.

This is not accidental decision, because Rural Development and Tourism was proclaimed by the UNWTO General Assembly as the theme of World Tourism Day 2020. The Ukrainian village is going through difficult times. More than 500 villages have disappeared from the map of our country since 1991, and almost 5,000 are now on the verge of extinction. In many countries around the world, rural tourism is an integral part of integrated socio-economic development programs of united territorial communities. The article proposes a road map for the development of rural green tourism for the center of Rayhorod united territorial community (located in the Haisyn district, Vinnytsia oblast) – the village of Rayhorod. The methodological basis of the study was a road map for the development of tourism in the united territorial communities elaborated by the NGO “Ukrainian Union of Rural Green Tourism”. The information base of the research was the data obtained during the expeditionary research in the community. Monitoring the potential of the territory and assessing the readiness of the community for sustainable tourism development was completed by developing a SWOT analysis. It is determined that the studied community has all the prerequisites for the development of this type of tourism. A big problem is the lack of basic knowledge of rural residents about the opportunities and benefits of tourism development for rural areas. It is substantiated that the organization of festivals can become a “tourist magnet” of the village. The community already has some experience, as it annually holds a festival dedicated to the Village Day, which is becoming more and more popular every year. A trip on the historic railway, which is very popular tourist activity in Europe, could be a “tourist highlight” of Rayhorod community. The visitors may be attracted by the picturesque Podolian landscapes that open from the windows of the train running in the valley of the southern Bug. Establishing cooperation with the territorial communities of the region in the direction of joint activities for the development of rural green tourism is one of the goals of the long-term Tourism Development Program in Vinnytsia oblast for 2021-2027; the article determines the need to elaborate a separate coupled program for the development of rural tourism for the village of Rayhorod.

The uneven concentration of IDPs in the Eastern region of Ukraine creates an excessive burden on the labor market, infrastructure, and local authorities. The purpose of the study is to identify and explain the spatio-temporal features of forced internal displacement in the East of Ukraine from 2014 to 2019. The study is based on statistics from the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, Donetsk, Luhansk and Kharkiv regional state administrations. The following research methods were used in the work: mathematical-statistical, analysis and synthesis method, generalization, description, systematization, retrospective, graphic, cartographic and cartographic modeling. The study of the dynamic aspects of IDPs in the region revealed a gradual decrease in the dynamics of the number of IDPs, which may be due to the successful integration of forced migrants into host communities, the reluctance to confirm the status of IDPs through bureaucratic procedures and periodic inspections, or with repeated displacement. Analysis of the spatial characteristics of IDPs by city, city councils and districts of the Eastern region of Ukraine allowed us to distinguish three categories of IDPs depending on their location in the region. Among them: the overwhelming majority – IDPs of retirement age, who are guided by the factor of territorial proximity, are registered in the areas closest to the demarcation line, although most of them actually live in territory beyond the control of Ukraine, and carry out periodic trips through the demarcation line; IDPs of working age, which are mainly located in cities for the purpose of employment and access to quality services; the most vulnerable and socially unprotected categories living in places of compact accommodation of IDPs, but their minority. The age structure of IDPs is considered, the predominant age group of all regions of Eastern Ukraine are pensioners. The regions with the highest share of pensioners and a large demographic burden of pensioners and IDP children on the local population are identified. In particular, in some areas of the Luhansk region, the number of IDP pensioners is almost double that of the local population of all age groups. This situation requires special attention, since an excessive concentration of IDP pensioners in these territories can lead to a deep demographic crisis. So, the socio-geographical analysis of the spatial distribution of IDPs in the Eastern region of Ukraine shows the real extent of forced internal population displacement in the region, and the analysis of the age structure of IDPs allows one to determine the options for the impact of forced migrations on the socio-economic development of host regions and serves as an indicator of the need to adopt
