The three types of control modulation are generally used in power supply design. A single function IC with PWM or PFM is already on the market. However, there is no such chip on the market to integrate these three control modulation functions into one IC chip. An HDL (Hardware Description Language) algorithm that can satisfy the above three functions at the same time is proposed and implemented in the FPGA chip. We also proposed several experimental measurements to prove that these three functions do coexist in the FPGA chip.","PeriodicalId":143430,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Symposium on Computer, Consumer and Control (IS3C)","volume":"303 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132655548","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Patients can improve their condition through longterm rehabilitation. The effectiveness of rehabilitation can be assessed by the gait characteristics between the feet. However, most of today's gait analysis systems can only be carried out in biomechanical laboratories or medical related institutions. It has been proven that the equipment is expensive and takes up a long time and is not suitable for home care applications. A simple rehabilitation assessment system has become an important clinical issue. In this study, two inertial measurement components are respectively fixed on the instep of the two feet, then the acceleration and angular velocity in the inertial component are extracted as the basis for quantifying the gait characteristics. Due to the limitations of the accelerometer and the gyroscope itself, this study allows the two components to be calibrated to each other through the sensor fusion technique, and integrates the algorithms developed in the study to estimate the correct gait characteristics as much as possible. It can be known from the experimental results that for a normal subject with both feet, the symmetrical ratio presented in the gait characteristics of both feet is about 1. For subjects with difficulty walking on one foot, the symmetrical ratio is greater than 1 or less than 1, indicating that any one foot will be significantly different from the other in some gait characteristics. It can be seen from the results that the correlation of gait characteristics between the normal and abnormal gait feet is consistent with the pre-experiment hypothesis.","PeriodicalId":143430,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Symposium on Computer, Consumer and Control (IS3C)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132702279","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Sleep problems are highly prevalent not only elder and the youth. Most of sleep apnea occurred in people with obesity. However, most of the people are not aware of their disease. Therefore, to develop a simple device operated at home for sleep disorder detection is needful. The aim for this study is to implement a simple device for assessing sleep disorder which can be used at home without expensive and complicated equipment. Some signals include snoring signal, oxygen saturation and heart rate variability are recorded. SpO2, photoplethysmography (PPG) and pulse rate were monitored by a pulse oximeter (Nellcor Oximax N-600x). First, the oximetry provided a record pulse signal displayed a real time non-normalized waveform signal. Next, SpO2 display show the hemoglobin oxygen saturation level and continuous recording. Then, pulse rate can be obtained and monitored. AT2020 USB microphone with the features of low-self noise and USB port, is easy to set up and record high quality sound with low power supply are used to acquire the snoring sound. Heart rate variability (HRV) is derived from PP interval time series of photoplethysmography (PPG). HRV with time-domain are computed from PP intervals under time-domain analysis method. SpO2 and pulse rate can be recorded directly when hypoxia.","PeriodicalId":143430,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Symposium on Computer, Consumer and Control (IS3C)","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122875310","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The generation output of the PV array is dependent of the local climate and the geographical environment except the module efficiency. Here, instead of the CF, we propose the modified daily sun hours (DSH) as the performance index of the PV system in operation. We find the historic evolution of modified DSH not only reveal the system performance but also the PV array degrading status, so that we can find the system fault early and adopt the preventive maintenance.","PeriodicalId":143430,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Symposium on Computer, Consumer and Control (IS3C)","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124135514","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on the 10-min average, the results are presented with the wind speed recorded, the distribution of the probability density function, turbulence intensity, power spectrum, cross-correlation function, auto-correlation function. First, both of the power spectra of the wind data obtained at the heights 50 m and 86 m show a good agreement with the Von Karman model. Second, cross-correlation analysis of the wind data at the heights 50m and 86 m show that 85% of the time during the typhoon period the correlation coefficients were lower than 0.2, and the rest 15% of the time the correlation coefficient could reach 0.55. These observations provide important information about the wind characteristics of the boundary layer near the surface under a typhoon condition. The results are expected to be useful in the considerations in the design of offshore structures near the west coast of Taiwan.","PeriodicalId":143430,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Symposium on Computer, Consumer and Control (IS3C)","volume":"73 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130579823","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The smaller MSB capacitor improves the operating speed of the coarse SAR ADC due to less charge redistribution time. The proposed 10-bit SAR ADC is implemented in the TSMC 0.18 μm CMOS technology with a power supply of 1.8V. The effective number of bits (ENOB) is 8.29 bit, the sampling rate achieves at 30 MS/s. Both theoretical analysis and behavioral simulations show that the differential non-linearity (DNL) of a SAR ADC with segmented DAC is better than that of a binary ADC. Consequently, compared with conventional SAR ADC without any calibration, the proposed efficient capacitor switching technology can shorten the conversion time of the previous cycle and lower the switching energy.","PeriodicalId":143430,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Symposium on Computer, Consumer and Control (IS3C)","volume":"70 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130925886","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
