At the same time, the data transmission bandwidth is dispersed on the edge, reducing the usage of network bandwidth, and thus shortening the response time of the service. In addition, the way which the cloud manages the edge is called cloud-edge collaboration. This is the unified management of microservice operations at the edge by the cloud. And, cloud-edge collaboration can also reduce maintenance costs. KubeEdge is an open source cloud-edge collaboration architecture by using the cloud to manage multiple edge microservices. However, if there are multiple microservices that need to be continuously deployed and updated, a more complete solution is still needed in microservice management. Hence, this study proposes an edge computing architecture that apply additional component to KubeEdge to deploy and manage containerized microservices automatically.","PeriodicalId":143430,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Symposium on Computer, Consumer and Control (IS3C)","volume":"255 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121343595","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Also, Collision avoidance system is an important issue of the Self-driving car in the near future. Several robotic competitions in Taiwan challenge participants building and coding their mobile robots to avoid obstacles; and usually, the obstacles are plastic bottles. To do OA, be able to find the obstacle is the first requirement. At present, ranging sensors such as laser ranging, infrared ranging, ultrasonic sensors are commonly used to detect an obstacle. However, due to the transparency of plastic bottles, ultrasonic sensors is the only way to measure the distance of the plastic bottle. In this paper, an optimal OA method, shortest path without collision, is presented. Plenty experimental results show that the mathematical model presented in this paper is quite accurate and effective. Furthermore, the research results have been verified by participating in an international robotics competition, and finally winning the championship confirms the practical application value of this research.","PeriodicalId":143430,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Symposium on Computer, Consumer and Control (IS3C)","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117095423","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The spectrum below 6GHz is insufficient to be used by the upcoming 5G services; therefore, researchers are looking to higher frequency bands, such as 6-10GHz, or even higher 20-60GHz, which belongs to extremely high frequency. The 5G transmission system is designed to comply with the concept of frontend and backend softwarization. 3GPP proposed a software-oriented network slicing technology to meet the requirements of various service scenarios more flexibly. This study used the mmWave of 20-30GHz / 30-40GHz as the experimental frequency band and used the waveform simulator, SystemVue, to generate CP-OFDM and DFT-s-OFDM waveforms. We built a flexible platform using Software-Defined Network (SDN) from end-user to the core network by integrating waveforms, mmWave, and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) to realize the versatile design of architecture and resource allocation of the 5G core network.","PeriodicalId":143430,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Symposium on Computer, Consumer and Control (IS3C)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128704840","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the ACES services is the platooning vehicle, where a group of vehicles moves together with the cooperative adaptive cruise control (CACC) and other safety features. Sensors and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication are a crucial part of succeeding in the implementation of platooning vehicles. In this work, we consider radar and camera sensors as the primary concern. Those sensors provide relative distance and velocity between vehicles where is the key to maintain a safe distance between vehicles during platooning. In practice, both sensors are subject to several critical issues, such as faults, malfunction, and sensor degradation. Besides, in the transmission and processing of sensor data, errors may occur due to delay, noise, and cyber-attacks. These issues may affect the safety and stability of an ACES system. For a platoon operating under CACC, the string stability may be addressed. Therefore, this paper aims to solve sensor fault issues with the proposed strategy for fault detection and estimation in the presence of noise, uncertainty, and perturbation. The proposed strategy integrates parameter estimation and the state estimation approach. The modified, extended recursive least square (MERLS) with exponential forgetting factor and Kalman filter is considered to deal with the system have noise. The model is obtained by MERLS and used by the Kalman filter to detects the sensor's fault based on the residual. When the sensor fault detected, a robust estimation from the Kalman filter is employed as fault-tolerant control that guarantees impressive performance after sensor fault occurs, subject to safety and string stability.","PeriodicalId":143430,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Symposium on Computer, Consumer and Control (IS3C)","volume":"99 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121219437","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It can be applied in many scenarios, including age restrictions in specific places, drinking restrictions, and reminders for underage or elderly drivers in traffic applications. In this study, we proposed an accurate age recognition algorithm, which applies the techniques of landmark-based alignment, the attention model, and the expected value method in the deep learning architecture. The algorithm consists of three stages. The first stage is data preprocessing, including face detection, cropping, face alignment (to normalize the position and angle of each face), and contrast adjustment. The second stage is a feature extraction model. It is based on the Residual Attention Model with the attention mechanism. Moreover, the domain filter, the joint loss, and the facial landmark extraction are also adopted. The third stage is the classification model. Its input is the l024-dimensional features extracted in the 2nd stage and the input image. Then, the expected value method is applied to calculate the explicit age. Simulations show that the proposed algorithm outperforms other age estimation methods and can estimate the age accurately.","PeriodicalId":143430,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Symposium on Computer, Consumer and Control (IS3C)","volume":"56 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131965534","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

First, polyurethane elastomer as filler is adopted to match the specific acoustic impedance with the human body and reduce air conduction sound. Furthermore, HPSS signal processing is applied to separate the acquired biological signals into vascular sounds and respiratory sounds. Moreover, to remove air conduction noise from respiratory sounds, a novel respiratory sound extraction method using convolutive non-negative matrix factorization is proposed. In the proposed CNMF-based respiratory sound extraction method, the system can learn the characteristics of the frequency change of the respiratory sound, and thus can extract only the respiratory sound. The effectiveness of the proposed new respiratory sound extraction method is verified by the accuracy of the signal-to-noise ratio and respiratory rate measurement. Finally, the proposed system will enable us to measure the body in a noisy environment, such as in daily life, and will enable early detection of respiratory and cardiovascular diseases and telemedicine.","PeriodicalId":143430,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Symposium on Computer, Consumer and Control (IS3C)","volume":"276 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134366678","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The risk factors of IS included older age, male gender, high BMI, smoking habit, hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, etc. Other factors, such as environmental metal exposure and atrial cardiopathy are also found to be risk factors. In this study, a balanced dataset, consisting of healthcare data of 36,880 IS patients and 36,880 non-IS patients matched with IS patients using indexed date, age, and sex, retrieved from a subset of the National Health Insurance Research Database (NHIRD) of Taiwan, an administrative healthcare database, were adopted for developing the AI models to predict events of ISs. Integrated Genetic Algorithm and Support Vector Machine (IGS) algorithm accompanied with 3 different fitness functions was applied for designing the predictive models. To select the best predictive performance from different AI models, tenfold cross validation were conducted for model training. The predictive performance of the designed models exhibits that predictive accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, and area under ROC curve (AUC) achieve 73.38-73.96%, 73.31-73.91%, 73.03-74.02%, and 0.808-0.813, respectively. The selected features including age, comorbidities, and other comorbidity-related variables are shown to be effective in designing strong predictive models (AUC>0.8) for predicting patients who are more likely to develop IS in the near future. Future works will focus on designing the predictive models using more effective AI technique, such as deep neural network (DNN), and useful variables, such as administrated drugs, to enhance the predictive performance.","PeriodicalId":143430,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Symposium on Computer, Consumer and Control (IS3C)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127415031","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In view of area-efficiency, the current-mode sample-and-hold circuit (S/H) is designed to reduce the chip area considerably. It plays a vital role in the performance of the DSM. Note that the input impedance of the modified current-mode feedback memory cell (FMC) is decreased by [2 + (g'm3/gml-1) x A] times relative to a traditional FMC and the input current is being processed more quickly. However, it suffers the transmitted error particularly for small input currents. The MASH architecture inherited a superior signal-to-noise-and-distortion ratio (SNDR) by using an effective digital noise cancellation circuit (DNCC) and a low-pass filter varied from 10 Hz to 20 kHz. The designed current-mode DNCC is composed of six delay components using master-slave D flip-flop and a logic circuit using the karnaugh map. Post-layout simulations reveal that the simulated SNDR was 90.4 dB and the ENOB was 14.73 bits. The designed IC consumes 18.19 mW at a chip area of 0.13 mm2 and a simulated FoM of 24.5 pJ/conv. The advantages of our modulator are its small chip area and high processing speed at all input currents.","PeriodicalId":143430,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Symposium on Computer, Consumer and Control (IS3C)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114962015","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Because the DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) communications protocol's packets use Manchester code, it is detect the logical state of edge transitions to decode and encode, instead of reading the high/low level of the signal, so it can't be processed with common NRZ (Non Return Zero Code) code. At present, there is no single controller for encoding or decoding Manchester code on the market, if the manufacturer develops and designs by itself, the company must have engineers with DALI's work experience, and it will take time to carry out complex algorithm development. In order to reduce personnel costs and development time, general lighting manufacturers will choose to purchase commercially available the DALI master and the DALI slave to use with original equipment manufacturer's software. This will cause the DALI slave cannot be integrated with the power supply of the LED luminaire, and the control interface will be limited to the original factory. (For example, DALI master of manufacturer A needs to be used with the software interface of manufacturer A.) Therefore, this paper develops a set of algorithms to complete the encoding and decoding of Manchester code, and independent develops the master and slave of DALI-2, so the DALI-2 slave is easy to integrate with the luminaire power supply, and can also be used with the self-designed software interface to control the DALI-2 master.
