Whereas standard approaches such as Kalman filter are of linear quadratic estimation (LQE) type, the technique developed in this paper views system dynamics as a sequence of unitary transformations. The approach consists of two steps: 1. Convert the sequence of vector $mathrm{x}^{(l)}$ observations $l=1ldots M$ to a sequence of localized at $mathrm{x}^{(l)}$ states $vert psi_{mathrm{x}(l)}rangle$. 2. Find unitary operator $mathcal{U}$ ‘optimally converting $vert psi_{mathrm{x}(l+1)}}=vert mathcal{U}vert psi_{mathrm{x}^{(l)}}rangle;$: the problem is reduced to finding the maximum of a quadratic form on $U$ matrix elements subject to constraints that are quadratic forms on $U$ matrix elements as well. The approach is outlier-stable and can be applied to the processes with spikes and non-Gaussian noise. Elements of unary segment go through the calibration process. The design of the proposed calibration circuit and its internal blocks is discussed at functional level. The Monte-Carlo simulation is held, which results in determination of the calibration circuit parameters. Iterative hard thresholding (IHT) algorithm and its variants can be considered as a kind of those methods based on gradient descent. Unfortunately, when the objective function has many local minima, the steepest descent typically suffers from being misled into attaining those local minima. One way to facilitate the nonlinear search to be close to the global solution is the manipulation of search step size. In this work, a numerical search is used to find an optimal step size in the sense of minimal signal recovery error for the normalized IHT algorithm. The performance of the proposed step size is compared to that of a randomly chosen fixed one as in the former works. Numerical examples illustrate that the optimal parameters that form up a good step size can provide lower root-mean-square-relative error of the acquired signal than the arbitrary chosen step size method. A thin film (plaque) on the top edge of the prism was found to be one of the most significant of these factors, as this edge of the prism is in constant contact with the medium under research. A new method for controlling the top edge of the prism has been developed. It provides a method for removing plaque during the refractometer operation. In this paper, a robust low-complexity blind estimation calibration scheme for I/Q imbalance is proposed. The imbalance estimation method makes use of the second-order statistics of the received signals, and a closed-form solution with linear complexity is given by reasonable approximation.
