Recently, kriging models are frequently utilized to construct surrogate approximations; however, they may be inefficient for systems having with a large number of design variables. Therefore, a new method-cokriging, which is an extension of kriging for creating surrogate models, is proposed for large-scale systems. In this paper, our intention is to discuss the suitability of cokriging models for structural reliability analysis, especially in high-dimensional problems. First, This paper explores the use of the cokriging method for structural reliability problems by comparing it with the kriging method based on two numerical examples. Secondly, comparisons between the two different database augmenting schemes in the cokriging models are made based on the examples. Finally, this paper suggests the points for which the cokriging model could be improved to get better results for structural reliability problems.","PeriodicalId":141108,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Future Computer Sciences and Application","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-06-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132342622","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To handing this ambiguity, the histogram of image is transformed into fuzzy domain employing fuzzy membership, and the fuzzy entropy of object and background is computed respectively according to the definition of Fuzzy Renyi Entropy(FRE). Then, with combinations of the membership function's parameters as individual vectors, a chaos differential evolution (CDE) algorithm based on Logistic map was presented to find the optimum threshold following maximum entropy principle. Compared with other typical methods, the presented method is verified to be more effective and less time-consuming.","PeriodicalId":141108,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Future Computer Sciences and Application","volume":"106 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-06-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132631887","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The major aim of this research is to forecast the stock exchange of Euro vs. Japanese Yen (EURJPY) closing price movements using hourly dataset from September 20, 2010 to January 21, 2011. One neural network (MLP) is used to predict the EURJPY closing price movements. The results of this study show that neuro-computational models are useful tools in forecasting stock exchange movements in emerging markets. These results also indicate that filtering of noises have an enormous effect on prediction improvements.","PeriodicalId":141108,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Future Computer Sciences and Application","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-06-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127946173","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It can be considered that the links of online social networks describe the relationships between individuals. Analyzing online data from social networks provides opportunities for extracting attributes of sentimental influence, which also helps to get over the corner of current research on sentiment analysis. In this paper we design models to learn both sentimental influencing probabilities and influenced probabilities for users of Twitter, one of the most popular online social media. We find that there is a high correlation between Twitter users' influencing probabilities and influenced probabilities, and the majority of users keep sentimental balance on both.","PeriodicalId":141108,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Future Computer Sciences and Application","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-06-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121511693","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Ontology learning approach is to distinguish the type of input such as text, dictionary, knowledge, policies, schemes and semi-structured schemes relations. Ontology learning can be explained as information extraction subtask and its objectives are to dig the relevant concepts and relationships from the corpus or a particular type of data sets. In this project, an ontology learning of text extraction from Qur'anic text as input data was assessed using a newly developed support system. The algorithms used to extract Qur'anic text in this project are Alfonseca & Manandhar's and Gupta & Colleagues's approach. The support system will assess and evaluate these two algorithms and compare with the manually text extraction (Gold Standard) in order to come out an appropriate method or technique which suitable to extract the ontologies from Qur'anic text which can help more people to understand the true meaning from Qur'an teaching.","PeriodicalId":141108,"journal":{"name":"2011 International Conference on Future Computer Sciences and Application","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-06-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131750416","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
