In this paper we present a remote controlled ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) based on Arduino Mega 2560 microcontroller which acquired the sensors data and controls the direction and acceleration. For the ROV localization it is used a Global Positioning System (GPS) module and an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) which provides the orientation in space and the heading as a deviation from the magnetic North. It connects trough WiFi at the Access Point which is identified by the name of the network and a password. The Access Point sends a string that consists of movement data and waits for a response from the ROV. In the message that the ROV sends are information's about the speed, latitude, longitude, an estimated roll, pitch and yaw. The ROV is controlled using LabView and Processing interfaces. A comparison of the results between the two interfaces and the type of data communication is presented.","PeriodicalId":138347,"journal":{"name":"2017 IEEE 23rd International Symposium for Design and Technology in Electronic Packaging (SIITME)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126818879","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The most well-known SCA's are based on power consumption (e.g. Differential/Simple Power Analysis), electromagnetic radiations (e.g. Differential/Simple Electromagnetic Analysis), analyze of consumed time while performing cryptographic operations and inducing of faults (e.g. Optical Faults). Both power and electromagnetic analysis require acquiring a large number of traces by using specialized equipment. The problem appears when the environmental conditions are rough and the captured traces are noisy, making it hard to extract the signal from the noise. In this paper we focus on finding an optimal mechanism to denoise the signals captured from the electromagnetic radiations emitted by a microcontroller. In order to do so, Wavelet functions were used and results were compared depending on the threshold's levels and methods that were applied. Wavelet functions are a comprehensive tool with applications like signal denoising and data compression. All the obtained results are presented in this paper and conclusions regarding this process are drawn.","PeriodicalId":138347,"journal":{"name":"2017 IEEE 23rd International Symposium for Design and Technology in Electronic Packaging (SIITME)","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126892605","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This structure, considered as possible individual sub-wavelength building block of a notch filtering system, was numerically implemented by using the Finite Element Method (FEM) based Comsol Multiphysics software. The dependence of resonance frequencies on the SRR model parameters, like split width (g), conducting strip width (c), the gap between rings (d), substrate thickness (h) and substrate permittivity was investigated through this paper. Surface current density distribution for three different ring slits was also computed here for a proper selection of the slit width of the resonant rings.","PeriodicalId":138347,"journal":{"name":"2017 IEEE 23rd International Symposium for Design and Technology in Electronic Packaging (SIITME)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117320130","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main issue with this method is the veracity of the data obtained, because sometimes we get negative or the order of Teraohms values for resistances or in the case of the Nyquist diagram we obtain distorted circles. The accuracy of the data we obtained can be checked applying Kramers-Kronig transforms, which implies the determination of the real part if the imaginary part is known and vice versa. The purpose of this paper is to check, using Kramers-Kronig relations, the data we obtained, in a previous work [3] for 2 supercapacitors, briefly EDLC (Electrochemical Double-Layer Capacitor) with the capacitance values of 5F and 22F through electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.","PeriodicalId":138347,"journal":{"name":"2017 IEEE 23rd International Symposium for Design and Technology in Electronic Packaging (SIITME)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129815732","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

If PSpice use this type of models in simulation of electronic circuits, we can use also in simulation of control systems. Current trend in electronic systems is to improve the complexity of the systems, due mainly complex tasks and good accuracy. A general system has multiple inputs and multiple outputs and time varying. From this, we can obtain a simplify model for a simple system. In this paper, we present a study for generating of a mathematical model for an electronic system which appear in control system of a power supply circuit. That model will be implemented in Simulink and after that, the result will be compared with PSpice. The extraction procedure is performed in the environment of the general-purpose circuit simulator Cadence PSpice and the graphical analyzer Cadence Probe. Parametric analysis with two independent parameters — the series resistance and the diode ideality constant, is used for the computer realization of the approach. As the simulator allows to vary only one parameter, the possibilities of the parametric analysis are extended to achieve simultaneous variation of two independent parameters. The implementation of parameter extraction procedure in standard circuit simulators allows its multiple use under different environmental conditions.","PeriodicalId":138347,"journal":{"name":"2017 IEEE 23rd International Symposium for Design and Technology in Electronic Packaging (SIITME)","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116428418","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
