Most GCTs areasymptomatic and are usually reported as incidentalfindings from endoscopy . Histologically, GCTs arecomposed of large polygonal cells containingnumerous eosinophilic granules.Case presentation: A 65-year-old woman withoutany symptoms was admitted for a preventativecolonoscopy. The biopsy revealed sessile serratedadenomas (adenomatous polyps) with low-gradedysplasia. The lesion in the caecum showed anintestinal mucosa with a subepithelial tumour, whichwas found to be positive for S-100 protein and couldcorrespond to Abrikossoff’s tumour.Conclusions: Due to the rare occurrence ofcolorectal Abrikossoff tumours in the colon, thereare very few reported cases, especially in malepatients. A colorectal GCT is a sporadic submucosaltumour that usually follows a benign course.Malignant GCT is extremely rare. The finaldiagnosis of GCT can be based on endoscopic biopsyand histopathological examinations. The basis ofbenign GCT treatment is endoscopic resection,which often leads to a cure.","PeriodicalId":138155,"journal":{"name":"Progress in Health Sciences","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135144775","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But no research has beenpublished so far indicating the involvement of motorunits during physiological circumstances likeEupnea, Bradypnea, and Tachypnea. These findingswould help to determine the neuromuscularmechanism of respiratory mechanics inphysiological situations and to compare it withclinical conditions related to respiratory muscles.Aim of the study: The experimental findings wouldhelp to determine the neuromuscular mechanism ofrespiratory mechanics in physiological situationsand to compare it with clinical conditions related torespiratory muscles.Materials and methods: Thirty healthy sedentaryadult females participated in this investigation. TheTachypnea and Bradypnea were deliberatelyachieved by asking them to hyperventilate withshallow breaths and to hold their breath for a periodin a supine posture accordingly. The participation ofmotor units and force generated in the diaphragmand intercostal muscles were assessed by surfaceelectromyography (sEMG).Results: The motor unit activities for three varioussituations such as silent breathing reduced breathing,and fast breathing rates significantly vary with eachother in both the primary respiratory muscles(p<0.05). But there was insignificant variation inmotor unit discharges between Eupnea andbradypnea of both muscles.Conclusions: In supine posture during Tachypnea,the quick and enhanced expansion of the thoraciccavity requires more motor unit activation in thediaphragm and intercostal muscle thus suggestinghigher involvement. In Eupnea and Bradypneavirtually equal participation of both muscles wasdiscovered. The modest increase in intercostal motorunit discharge in bradypnea than Eupnea might beowing to the larger extension of the intercostalmuscle during bradypnea than the diaphragm does.","PeriodicalId":138155,"journal":{"name":"Progress in Health Sciences","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135144331","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The data were obtained fromquestionnaires \"Patient and Caregiver Promoter Form\",\"Functional Independence Measure (FIM)\", \"CaregiverStrain Index (CSI1)\", \"Maslach Burnout Inventory(MBI) \" and \"Coping Styles Inventory (CSI2)\" that wereapplied to patients and their caregivers. Data wereevaluated in Statistical Package for the Social Sciences21 (SPSS) package program using arithmetic mean,percentile calculation, T Test, Anova, Mann Whitney UTest, Kruskal Wallis Post Hoc, Correlation Analysismethods.Results:71.3% of caregivers are women and 57.3% arechildren of the patients. It was identified that caregivers'mean emotional exhaustion score was 29.31 8,21,depersonalization was 12.2 4.5, and personalachievement was 18.68 4.03. It has been determinedthat caregivers use the most; self-confident approach(13,933,45), helpless approach(13,464,26) andoptimistic approach (11,162,36) sub-dimensions tocope with stress. There was a negative relationshipbetween emotional exhaustion and self-confidentapproach, optimistic approach and applying for socialsupport, a positive relationship between desensitizationand helpless approach, and a negative relationshipbetween personal success and a self-confident andoptimistic approach.Conclusions: It was determined that as the levels ofemotional exhaustion of caregivers increased, the ratesof using effective coping methods with stress decreased,as the level of desensitization increased, the rates ofusing desperate approach increased and as the level ofpersonal success increased, the rates of using safe andoptimistic approach sub-dimensions significantlydecreased.","PeriodicalId":138155,"journal":{"name":"Progress in Health Sciences","volume":"70 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135144760","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It affects mainly middle- agedwomen and its symptoms are not peculiar. Thelaboratory tests need to be carried out once HT issuspected. Disease is treated with levothyroxine butalso lifestyle choices can influence HT.Materials and methods: Numerous and variousscientific reports on diets and supplementations havebeen identified through PubMed and GoogleScholar.Objectives: Presentation of the latest research andits recommendations regarding supplementation anddiet for Hashimoto patients.Conclusions: Supplementation and diet choices inHT is a widely discussed subject. It is debatablewhether vitamin D, selenium, iron and gluten free,lactose free diet need to be implemented as data isnot unequivocal. Awareness of supplementation andpotential deficiencies can have an influence on thedisease, hence, there is recognised need to test itslevels. Iodine is a needed microelement but its excessas well as its insufficient level affects on health,although its low level is extremely harmful for fetaldevelopment. A considerable amount of theliterature has revealed that a gluten free diet could bebeneficial for HT patients and there is a higherlikelihood of Celiac disease in this group. Lactosefree diet was shown to lower TSH level although agreater focus and research on the relationshipbetween those two elements could produceinteresting findings.","PeriodicalId":138155,"journal":{"name":"Progress in Health Sciences","volume":"221 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135144776","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
