Particularly, the burden of nursing care is a looming difficulty. To resolve it, attention must be devoted to preventing dementia in elderly people. We developed an activity program using communication robots in a cognitive function retention class for elderly community residents, and investigated their reactions and impressions. Results show that many elderly people were interested in activities that were performed along with the robot. They gave the impression that they are more fun than just doing tasks with people. Activities with direct talking to and interacting with robots must be developed.","PeriodicalId":136474,"journal":{"name":"2019 8th International Congress on Advanced Applied Informatics (IIAI-AAI)","volume":"236 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121117952","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper proposes a novel prediction model of short term load forecasting (STLF) for both system load and aggregated load of power consumers customers. The prediction method uses a particle swarm optimization based discrete wavelet transformation in multiple linear regression model (PSO-DWT-MLR) to capture the non-linear relationship between the load demand and the exogenous inputs. PSO was used to select the optimal combination of details and approximations data from DWT to construct an MLR model. Associated with actual weather information, validation of the proposed model is conducted in both system-side data set and end-user data set in Independent System Operator-New England (ISO-NE) and aggregated load data respectively. The results demonstrate that PSO-DWT can boost the performance of MLR for prediction of nonstationary load conditions and can provide more accurate prediction than existing methods.","PeriodicalId":136474,"journal":{"name":"2019 8th International Congress on Advanced Applied Informatics (IIAI-AAI)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125350756","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this regard, the projection method can be used to deeply understand the internal aspects of a client, including his/her unconscious side. If the relationship between the questionnaire and the projection methods can be shown and the classification of the psychological aspects that each method measures can be clarified, then the significance of the assessment that combines multiple methods will become more evident. In this study, we conducted a survey by using the combination of the Baum Test and the Group TAT, which was developed for group use based on TAT, one of the projection methods, together with SRS-18, which is a scale to measure stress reaction. We clarified the relationship between the tests and evaluated the psychological aspects covered in each test by analyzing the correlation among the measured aspects. The Beacon function in BLE is the basis for providing indoor positioning. Also, most of today's smart devices have Bluetooth, and all support Bluetooth 4.0 or higher, so BLE is very suitable for indoor positioning of smart devices. In addition to being able to be used for indoor positioning, the Beacon actively broadcasts its Beacon signaling regularly. Such a function can be used for advertising promotion in a designated area. Further, if a Beacon message contains the Uniform Resource Locator (URL) represents an Internet of Things (IoT) device, such a device can be called Web IoT device. It can be seen from the above that BLE's indoor positioning system can not only achieve positioning but also expand the characteristics to provide more diverse application services so that the positioning system has better value. Therefore, this paper takes the shopping mall as an example to implement the application service of integrating the Web IoT and BLE indoor positioning system to provide consumers with more application services, including indoor positioning, advertising push, and Coupon collection and use, Web IoT device display and trial and so on.","PeriodicalId":136474,"journal":{"name":"2019 8th International Congress on Advanced Applied Informatics (IIAI-AAI)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128780981","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This observation impacts how enterprise information systems are analysed, designed, implemented and used. Focusing on the analysis and design phases, conceptual modelling methods in the field of enterprise architecture management experience a continuous evolution in research and practice. Existing methods are re-purposed for specific requirements, new methods are developed/evaluated in concrete industrial settings and coupling/integration techniques support holistic viewpoints. Nevertheless, current practices in the design and enactment of such methods, and more specifically their metamodels, are inefficient with respect to agile and iterative considerations. Within this paper, a novel design approach for modelling method engineering is discussed that builds on the notion of meta-models as conceptual structures. Syntactic and semantic operation on these structures aim to facilitate the design process following the design science research methodology. The approach is evaluated by introducing a case developed as part of the European research project GO0D MAN. In the context of the project an enterprise architecture metamodel has been designed, developed and deployed that supports an integrated viewpoint of conceptual model artefacts coupled with operational data visualisations to assess the effectiveness of design decisions.","PeriodicalId":136474,"journal":{"name":"2019 8th International Congress on Advanced Applied Informatics (IIAI-AAI)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129205280","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To achieve this goal, neural networks are employed to implement a caption generation system. In this paper, we proposed a caption generation system combining a CNN-based object detection system and a language model with a recurrent neural network. Especially, a vector which is sent from the object detection system to the language model is generated using an attention mechanism. Attention visualization can help us to understand the system focuses on a part of the input image in generating a caption. In the experiments, we evaluate the performance of the proposed system and discuss the effects of the attention mechanism in the image caption. Especially, the attention contributes to the improvement of caption generation but the attention is uncorrelated to system interpretation.","PeriodicalId":136474,"journal":{"name":"2019 8th International Congress on Advanced Applied Informatics (IIAI-AAI)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122204463","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One example of \"Low-Cost Computing\" is \"virtual currency\". Virtual currency often uses \"distributed network\" as an underlying technology. In a distributed network, data is stored using users' computers rather than a server for centralized data management. In short, virtual currency is realized by using the network to combine the users' computers. We think of this as \"Network-Based Low-Cost Computing\". There are many services using \"Network-Based Low-Cost Computing\", and they are becoming the mainstream of modern computers. As opposed to this, we propose \"Infrastructure-Based Low-Cost Computing\" in this research. \"Infrastructure-Based Low-Cost Computing\" proposed in this research means \"combining commonly available devices and software to propose an environment for teleconference or remote class, and building an infrastructure with equivalent functionality to expensive systems or services\". In this research, as the first step of this method, we aim to construct, with \"Low-Cost Computing\", a low-cost remote class environment which anyone can use. In this paper, we constructed a remote class environment with \"Low-Cost Computing\", and held classes at Toyo University.
