We have chosen basic restrictions, for example, selection of piercing, selection of parts cutting sequence. They must be considered during development of NC programs. The paper considers optimization of tool path for CNC thermal cutting machines, namely minimization of cutting time and cost. The accuracy of objective function parameters calculation is investigated. The paper also reviews the operation speed of cutting tool for CNC laser cutting machines. It is usually a constant value, but conducted researches show that operation speed of cutting tool depends on some parameters, such as number of frames in NC programs, configurations, geometries and dimensions of parts. The correction parameters for operation speed of cutting tool for rectangle parts were obtained in previous works. The parts of various configurations, geometries and overall dimensions are also considered in this paper. Based on received results, average correction coefficients for operation speed of cutting tool have been obtained. These coefficients may be taken into account in order to calculate the objective function more accurately. At the ore dressing mills and metallurgical plants, such parameters may include composition of feedstock, fluxes, reagents, intermediate products, final tailings and wastewater. Usually, this information is supplied by the automated analytical monitoring system (AAMS), in which the main component is the automated sub-system for sampling and representative test sample transportation. This paper is dedicated to current issues regarding optimization of the microprocessor-based control system by the use of robotic mechanisms and devices in the pneumatic test sample capsule transportation facility and computer-aided modelling. The article describes a functional scheme of the pneumatic conveying system. Liquid steel from mold is cast in 5 to 8 mm thick strip. After casting, the strip enters the roll stand, where it undergoes final plastic forming. The main goal of thermal mode control system is mass-average temperature stabilization at the hot rolling stand. The control of thermal mode is chiefly realized by changing the speed of casting. Significant time delay requires using the model-based predictive control systems. Block diagram of the twin-roll strip casting model-based predictive control system developed is provided in this paper. Distinctive features of the developed system are based on the previously developed mathematical model of the process and specialized command module. This module provides a real-time optimization of performance and conformity of the used models with current conditions. Modeling of the system performance in dynamic operating conditions of the unit is realized. The paper identifies quantitative and qualitative changes of recent years at the companies engaged in underground coal mining. Furthermore, the paper provides a rationale for the dual system and describes an algorithm for generation of a single database, which includes calculation subsystem database, subsystem database for knowledge assessment and a virtual simulator for assessing staff readiness to work with coalmines producing areas power supply. We consider testing algorithms (knowledge control), further training and authorization of coalmine electrical services personnel for maintenance, calculations, mounting, dismantling and adjustment of power supply systems of coalmine producing units. There are many studies on the usage of these devices internationally; and the real wind turbines are being sold. However, we may see not only the advantages but also some negative sides of the so-called “magnetic bearing”. Thus, the question of their possible usage at bigger turbines and its economical feasibility? Thus, the issue is actual due to interest of engineers to its solving. We have determined the reasons of such invention popularity and analysed the main design approaches. In mountain areas with their high mountain rivers, construction of high-efficient small hydropower plants (SHP) is certainly effective. Based on the example of the Fasnalskaya SHP, the paper provides the scientific and technical basis for calculation of operation and management of small HPPs, including methods of calculation of water and energy parameters, as well as control structure of the SHP. The developed techniques include generation of input data base consisting of cartograms of SHP coordinates on the local map, rivers for the SHP, estimated level of pressure, estimated length of the overhead power transmission line (PTL) of SHP-load unit, point of common coupling, SHP and energy system, point of common coupling of SHP and substation, hydrograph of a river, SHP single line diagram, basic water and energy options. In the course of comprehensive studies of water and energy parameters, we have defined conditions for an optimal schedule of SHP based on consumption of water and power generators, and control of the water and energy parameters in accordance with the schedule defined with the power grid load. Practical significance of the work is development of engineering programs and algorithms that help to resolve issues related to the design, calculation of technical parameters, operation and management of small HPPs. Diesel engine examination and testing are the main methods for verifying manufacturing quality of parts and assembly components, units and engine in whole, accuracy of assembling, correspondence of main diesel engine characteristics to the requirements of technical specifications. The types of diesel engine test procedures are regulated by the state standards (GOST) and international standards (ISO), which define the procedures for engine commissioning and requirements to engine performance standards. Manufacturers continue to improve the construction of engines and performance indicators even after their commissioning and installation. A current diesel engine test procedure is a complex and time-consuming process that can be compared with experimental studies. For this reason, automation systems for engine testing (AST) are created. The need for constant improvement of performance standards of diesel engines raise the costs with respect to test procedures in the course of development of new engine prototypes. In particular, high costs are associated with a mismatch between a level of automation of manufacturing and R&D works.
