Platelet activity is influenced by phospholipase A2 type IIA (sPLA2 type IIA), which is a lipid-mediating enzyme that connects the pathogenesis of Diabetes Mellitus (DM) with complications of diabetic angiopathy. This study aimed to examine the relationship between levels of type IIA sPLA2 and MPV among type II DM patients. Subjects and Method: This was a cross-sectional study. A total of 63 patients with type II DM was selected for this study. The inclusion criteria for the study subjects were type 2 diabetes mellitus patients who did not experience an infectious disease, acute inflammation, trauma, surgery or malignancy, anemia, taking antiplatelet drugs, having abnormal platelet counts, and smoking. The dependent variable was levels of type IIA sPLA2. The independent variable was MPV. The data were obtained from the medical records of Prof. Dr. Soerojo Mental Hospital, Magelang. The data were analyzed using Spearman correlation test. Results: The study showed the median level of sPLA2 type IIA was 3841.50 ng / dL and the average MPV value was 7.36 fl. The results of the Spearman correlation analysis showed that there was no relationship between sPLA2 type IIA and MPV (p = 0.551), but there was a tendency for an increase in type IIA sPLA2 followed by an increase in MPV value (r = 0.077). There was a difference in the average MPV value in the subject group with DM ≤ 10 years and> 10 years (p = 0.009), and it was statistically significant. Conclusion: There is a tendency for an increase in type IIA sPLA2 followed by an increase in the MPV value among type II DM patients. In Indonesia, around 37% (almost 9 million) of children under five are stunted. The difference in the prevalence of stunting in coastal and urban areas needs attention for the comprehensive handling of stunting. This study aimed to analyze the comparison of nutritional status in coastal and urban areas for toddlers aged 1-2 years. Subjects and Method: This was a cross-sectional study conducted at coastal and urban areas, Tarakan, North Kalimantan from October to November 2016. A total of 94 toddlers aged 1-2 years was selected by total sampling. The dependent variables were dietary intake and nutritional status. The independent variables were living in coastal and urban areas. The data were collected using questionnaires. The data were analyzed by independent t-test. Results: Mean of nutritional status of toddlers in urban area was higher (Mean= -4.24; SD= 1.27) than in coastal area (Mean= -3.17; SD= 1.14), and it was statistically significant (p= 0.002). This disesase often occurs in children under 5 years of age. Nutritional status is a factor that is closely related to infectious diseases such as pneumonia. This study aimed to examine the correlation between nutritional status and pneumonia among 6-59 months years old in Tangerang, Banten. Subject and Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted at Pakuhaji Community Health Center, Tangerang, Banten, from January to February 2018. A total of 29 children under five were enrolled in this study. The dependent variable was pneumonia. The independent variable was nutritional status. The data were collected from direct measurement of the children under five and questtioner. The data were analyzed by Chi-square. Results: As many as 16 children under five (55.17%) had pneumonia, 7 children under five (24.13%) were malnutrition, 3 children under five (10.34%) were short, and 5 children under five (7.24%) were thin. Nutritional status based on weight for age and weight for height had differences in nutritional status with the incidence of pneumonia among children under five, and they were statistically significant (p< 0.001). This can increase the risk of Covid-19 transmission among health personnel in hospitals. Data as of September 7, 2020, the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) states that more than 100 doctors in Indonesia who have died due to Covid-19 infection. The phenomenon of transmission in health personnel is urgent. This study aimed to systematically review the determinant factors of covid-19 transmission among of health personnel. Subjects and Method: This was a systematic review study from various article sources that have been done previously. The databases used in this study were Science Direct and Scopus, journals published from February to September 2020. The articles were extracted using the Preferred Reporting System for Systematic Review and Meta-analysis (PRISMA) 2009 flowchart. Results: Total of 5 articles were reviewed. The results of this study showed that the variables of gender, age, and profession showed significant results on Covid-19 transmission in 2 articles, but the results were not significant in 3 other articles. Meanwhile, the work location variable shows significant results in 2 articles that raise this variable with the location of the work place, including the medical ward and the emergency department. Ethnic variables, raised by one article with insignificant results and for the variable personal protective equipment and masks showed significant results related to Covid-19 transmission. Conclusion: Workplace arrangements, especially for Covid-19 special isolation and the use of good personal protective equipment, can reduce the transmission of Covid-19 to health personnel, especially those in emergency rooms and medical wards. These diseases hinder the socio-economic development of the affected areas. This study aimed to determine iodine deficiency associated with adolescent cognitive performance in endemic iodine deficiency endemic area. Subjects and Method: This is a cross-sectional study conducted in Bulu district, Temanggung. A sample of 120 adolescents range age 11-14 years old was selected by cluster sampling. The dependent variable was Cognitive performance. The independent variable was Iodine deficiency. The data were collected by questionnaire, measurement and assessment. This study was analyzed by multiple logistic regression. Results: On cognitive performance. Adolescent IQs are below average (69.2%), mathematics tests (64.2%), and Indonesian language tests are below average (47.5%). A total of (30.8%) adolescents showed insufficient iodine intake, goiter enlargement (30.2%), stunting (35%), and anemia (20.8%). The linear regression model on IQ showed goiter enlargement as a factor associated with decreased IQ, even after accounting for confounding factors (p = 0.013; R2 = 0.07). Subjects with goiter enlargement had lower mean IQ (Mean = 10.32). IQ was related to Indonesian achievement (p = 0.031; R2 = 0.13), while UIE (p = 0.031), father’s education (p = 0.011), and IQ (p <0.001) were identified as factors related to math test scores (R2 = 0.23). after accounting for confounding factors. Conclusion: Iodine deficiency is negatively associated with cognitive performance in areas of endemic infested iodine deficiency. Goiter enlargement, which is an indicator of long-term iodine deficiency status, correlates with IQ. UIE, which reflects current indicators of iodine deficiency status, affects academic achievement. The cognitive impact of iodine deficiency lasts into adolescence. Therefore, ensuring adequate iodine intake in adolescents is essential to optimize their cognitive performance. In many parts of the world, this is a very serious and humiliating disease. Early diagnosis and treatment are the most important strategies to control it. This study aimed to describe and analyze specific policies and strategies for people with leprosy. Subject and Method: A systematic review was conducted by searching articles in 2 electronic databases, namely PubMed and Mendeley. The articles were collected based on PRISMA flow diagram. Results: From the ten articles that were collected, it was reported that the leprosy control policy could be carried out in several ways: (1) including government policies related to socio-economy, especially for the poor (2) eliminating the negative stigma about leprosy sufferers, and (3) the system of giving drug therapy through Multi-Drug Therapy. Of the seven journals that are a synthesis review, other things need to be considered related to leprosy control, including gender and leprosy diagnosis must be made as soon as possible before lepers suffer from a worse illness. Conclusion: socio-economic policies, eliminating stigma, providing drug therapy with MDT can reduce leprosy in a region. Keywords: leprosy control, systematic review Correpondence: Dian Ayu Pertiwi. Doing hand-hygiene in 5 moments must be endeavored to improve the quality of service in the hospital.
