Research can provide answers to previously unknown questions, filling knowledge gaps and changing the way healthcare professionals work. Therefore, present study aims to assess attitude towards research in nursing students of Rajasthan, India. Method: Descriptive survey research design was selected to conduct the study. Modified Attitude Towards Research (ATR) scale used as research instrument. 373 nursing students from various nursing colleges of Rajasthan were included as participants in the study through random online Googledoc survey. Results: In the present study 75.10% nursing students have not attended any conference, seminar, webinar regarding research. For the total modified ATR scale statements, 49.56% (184.86) nursing students were agreed while 35.92% (134.02) nursing students were not agreed and 14.56% (54.34) nursing students remained neutral with the statements regarding attitude towards research. On the basis of scoring of the ATR scale, around half of the nursing students, 54.42% (203) had positive attitude level, 41.83% (156) had neutral attitude level while only 3.75% (14) had negative attitude level regarding research. Findings revealed that there was significant association between level of attitude regarding research among nursing students with demographic variable like how many conferences, seminar, webinar attended regarding research. Conclusion: The study concluded that there is strong need for educational interventions like conference, seminar and webinar besides regular curriculum for nursing students regarding research as they are future health care providers. Building a positive attitude towards research will help nurses for more scientific approach and providing nursing care on evidence based practices.","PeriodicalId":129862,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advances in Nursing Management","volume":"88 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123134837","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study has been conducted to assess the perceived social support of caregivers of patients with stroke. The objectives of the study were to assess the perceived social support of caregivers of patients with stroke, associate the selected demographic variables with perceived social support of caregivers of patients with stroke and to design a social support package for caregivers of patients with stroke. Quantitative research approach, descriptive research design was used for the study. Hundred samples were selected by convenience sampling technique. Perceived social support of caregivers was done by using perceived social support scale. The collected data were analysed by using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results of the study showed that 14% of caregivers had very low perceived social support, 75% had low perceived social support and 11% had medium support. The perceived social support was assessed under the main four areas like physical, emotional, financial and informational support. While considering the physical aspect 39% of caregivers had very low physical support, 36% had low physical support 14% had medium support and 11% had high physical support. With respect to the emotional support 12% had very low support, 73% had low support and 15% had medium support. With regard to the financial support 50% had very low, 36% had low and 14% had medium support. Among the caregivers 15% had very low, 33% had low, 13% had medium and only 1% had high support in informational aspects. Pregnant women commonly worry about pain during labour and birth. Labour pain is considered as one of the most intense forms of pain. Psychological challenge such as anxiety can contribute towards women’s perception of pain and may also affect their labor and birth experience. There are modern many non-invasive methods to relieve pain during childbirth. Among these methods is aromatherapy which is the most popular complementary therapy during child birth. Therefore, this study aimed to assess the effect of aromatherapy massage using lavender oil on the level of pain and anxiety during labor among primi gravida women. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of perineal massage on labour outcome among primigravida mothers in both the groups. Design: The research design selected for the present study was true experimental design where posttests only with control group design. Setting: The study was conducted in private maternity hospital, Erode district. Sample: The sample consisted of 30 (15 control and 15 experimental group) primi mothers attending antenatal OPD in private maternity Hospital, Erode District, were selected by simple random technique. Data collection procedure: The data were collected for 4 weeks in the month of June 2021.From both group the personal data were collected and to the experimental group external perineal massage was taught to the primi mother by demonstration. Post test was conducted for both control and experimental group with maternal outcomes observational rating scale while mother was admitted in labour ward with pain and assessed labour outcome. Results: The findings revealed that after the perineal massage the ongoing assessment tool to evaluate maternal outcome was fair and more effective during labour among the primi mothers in experimental group. In both control and experimental group there was no significant association between maternal outcome and demographic variables such as age, education, occupation, income per month, type of family, living area and previous source of information. Conclusion: The perineal massage was more effective in improving maternal outcome during labour among the primi mothers in experimental group.","PeriodicalId":129862,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advances in Nursing Management","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132355982","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
