It presents the block structure of the PFC together with the numerical simulations achieved in Matlab/Simulink, on the improvement of the PF (Power Factor) of the supply circuit. It also presents the block structures of the FOC strategy and of the back-EMF (back electromotive force) sliding mode, MRAS (Model Reference Adaptive System), and PLL (Phase Locked Loop) type observers. The numerical simulations show the superiority of rotor speed estimation when using the back-EMF sliding mode observer compared to the rotor speed estimate provided by MRAS and PLL observers.","PeriodicalId":129030,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electromechanical and Energy Systems (SIELMEN)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114727408","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The synthesized topology is called a Modified Hybrid Petri Net and is a hybrid model that combines both differentials and discrete Petri Nets dynamic and enables us to simulate and to analyzing the behavior of DC electrical drives in different operating regimes due to the particularities imposed by the load of electrical motor. In the optimization process, six geometric parameters concerning the magnet core dimensions, the coil aspect and the shape of the plunger support were taken into account. The paper examines the operating modes of the circuit with distributed and concentrated parameters in order to detect the possibility and the capacity of realizing the processes of electricity storage in functional components of the power systems. For this purpose for the analysis of the dynamic processes, that use analytical and numerical methods of calculating the electrical circuits without dissipation (reversible transformations) and with dissipation (irreversible transformations) of the electrical energy in these circuits. Analytical solutions are presented for lossless power lines and for the lines with loss without signal deformation. The use of the finite difference method allows the analysis of the regime for any type of line and electrical load. It has been found, that the processes of energy accumulation in the circuit elements can be performed both from the power supply from DC and from AC sources. Energy storage can be achieved in the long line in short-circuit and in idle mode. It has been demonstrated the possibility of storing energy in the external inductance under traveling of the current wave in the circuites with distributed parameters, that link the power supply with the inductance in which the energy is stored. The process of storing energy in the external inductance can be done without the use of a special system of switches, which are part of the traditional systems of storage with superconducting inductance. The development of injection technology in inductance with superconductivity in traveling wave regime can provide advantages, when energy storage systems are developed with superconducting inductance.","PeriodicalId":129030,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electromechanical and Energy Systems (SIELMEN)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129359105","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The studies were directed toward the understanding and analyze of the possibility to optimize the energy consumptions such as to get minimal costs in the above mentioned scenarios. The specialized software BIM was employed in order to study the effects of climate and other external factors on energy consumptions and the related costs. Two sites, highly different with respect to climate conditions, were addressed firstly (Bagdad from Iraq and Craiova from Romania) in order to evaluate the volume of CO2 emissions and respectively the effectiveness of power generation by using solar and wind energies. Two identical buildings (used for weather forecast) from the same sites were also studied. Afterward the results of extensive studies over the monthly power consumptions structures (considering 10 components) along one year were presented and discussed. The results of an analysis concerned with the performances (power consumption and costs) for 3 scenarios (with(out) BIM and respectively “high performance”) were presented at the end, emphasizing the advantage of integrating green buildings in a microgrid while using renewable resources.","PeriodicalId":129030,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electromechanical and Energy Systems (SIELMEN)","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131532204","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim for a carbon neutral economy asks for high level penetration of renewables, where PV production in LV networks is part of the general solution. The RES high penetration becomes however a threat for grid operation, through challenges such as keeping voltage level in the accepted band, avoiding grid congestion and reverse power flow or ensuring low level of energy losses. The paper analyses specific scenarios and suggests measures to address these limitations, by comparing business as usual operation with more advanced microgrid operation and the use of grid-side storage.","PeriodicalId":129030,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electromechanical and Energy Systems (SIELMEN)","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114834905","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
