In this paper we present a system for on-line monitoring of the temperature on the contact high voltage surface from a medium voltage monopolar separator used in the electric railway traction. An infrared temperature transducer is used which converts the temperature value into an electric signal in the 0-10v range. This electrical signal is used as an analogue input size for a Siemens S7-1200 PLC. An application was developed that monitors online temperature on the strength of the contact force, allowing the HMI monitor to view the temperature value, the actual size, and also the graphical evolution of the temperature values over a period of time. It also shows the experimental installation, the electrical drawing, the temperature value must fit within a certain acceptable range.","PeriodicalId":129030,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electromechanical and Energy Systems (SIELMEN)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132043141","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Any new efficient power plant implemented, has an initial condition in the project realization, a database of the local environmental parameters. Present paper refers to the influence induced to the horizontal component of the wind velocity by the pole itself, combined with other components from the power plant. There is also analyzed the influence of the air parameters for correct estimation of the wind velocity distribution, as the first image of the efficiency of the future power plant. The environmental data were measured and stored over three years with masts of 70 m height, for covering a larger area from the interest zone. Firstly, are presented some aspects referring to the masts components and its installation, followed by an analysis of the effect of the air parameters in wind velocity estimation. The database consists of 12 parameters recorded at 10 minutes. An original method to structure the recorded data assures utilization of a smaller amount from the data-logger memory. Some aspects referring the numerical modeling, uncertainties, appreciation of the margins of error, conclusions, and references complete the present paper.","PeriodicalId":129030,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electromechanical and Energy Systems (SIELMEN)","volume":"178 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132326754","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Temperatures could be measured in transient or steady-state regime. The goal is to obtain a higher evolution of temperature in shortly time and to maintain this temperature for long time. Our solution means to achieve a carbon film and tubes inside on the spiral resistor. From the outer surfaces is introduced water to circulate in the system in order to capture the thermal energy from electrical resistance. The carbon film will be used because it has a very high thermal capacity, a geometry who could be modelate, and by using a comparator thermocouple it is possible to decrease the power consumption by spiral resistance and because the carbon film heating can be maintained and controlled after disconnecting the power supply.","PeriodicalId":129030,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electromechanical and Energy Systems (SIELMEN)","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128185573","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The actuality of this problem regarding the efficiency of the use of electricity is determined by the fact that at present most of the receivers in the residential sector are of single-phase type (washing machines, air conditioners, electric pumps, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, etc As a solution to increase the efficiency of the use of electricity in the consumption phase, the use of three-phase asynchronous motors is examined, which have higher energy performance indices compared to single-phase asynchronous motors. For the control of three-phase motors when supplying them from the single-phase network, a new three-phase inverter control algorithm is proposed, which has been called frequency-pulse-width-modulation (FPWM). The simultaneous modulation of the frequency and the width of the control impulses leads to the decrease of approximately 25% of the number of the control impulses of the transistors of the three-phase inverter. This ensures quality indices of electricity supplied to the three-phase asynchronous motor and minimal pollution of single-phase grid with the higher current harmonics. The proposed frequency-pulse-width-modulation algorithm excluded the function of intermediate energy storage in the electrolytic type DC filter capacitors, which have a shorter lifetime compared to other components of the voltage inverter. As a filter capacitor of the proposed three-phase inverter, only capacitors with dielectric film are used, which have a much smaller capacity value compared to the previously used electrolytic capacitors. The substitution of the electrolytic capacitors was possible because in the proposed inverter the dielectric film capacitors filter switching harmonics of the transistors.","PeriodicalId":129030,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electromechanical and Energy Systems (SIELMEN)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131476035","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Scheme of synchronous modulation is based in this case on concept of multi-zone control, which includes continuous determination of boundary frequencies between control sub-zones (on the axis of the fundamental frequency of installation), and on alternative control correlations for determination of the pulse patterns. Systems controlled by some basic versions of synchronous pulsewidth modulation (PWM) have been investigated. The analyzed control and modulation strategies have been verified by numerical simulations.","PeriodicalId":129030,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electromechanical and Energy Systems (SIELMEN)","volume":"85 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123619910","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
