The same thing happens if the power supply is symmetrical but the induction machine is asymmetrical, either by construction or by fault. The currents and fluxes hodograph is no longer circular but elliptical. As the final result of the electromagnetic phenomena the torque developed by the induction machine is affected. Even in steady state the electromagnetic torque is no longer constant. A ripple i.e. an alternative component overlaps its average value. The paper aims to determine a usable analytical expression that clearly indicates the causes that influence the value of the sinusoidal component of the torque: the asymmetric supply or the failure of the induction machine.","PeriodicalId":129030,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electromechanical and Energy Systems (SIELMEN)","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125165297","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

OER (Open Educational Resources) and MOOC (Massive Open Online Courses), Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs) are discussed. Experimental engineering skills and abilities can be developed by using remote labs and simulations. The development of critical thinking of engineer students takes place while students work with virtual resources, and students need to understand what kind of results they get for each experiment. Even if it addresses the same problems-by differentiating the simulation laboratories-it focuses on another field: not the ability to do this, but how you can do it. Online laboratories are also fundamental to the experiments the student performs in the individual study because they are specially designed for distance students who need to gain an introductory knowledge and familiarity with real-life phenomena. The instructional design model is based on the ADDIE model, which includes the phases of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. VLEs are used to make online interactions between Students and Teachers. Moodle (Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment) is known as an online course management system (CMS). Learning Process and Content Management Systems (LCMS), in this case, Moodle (an open source software platform for e-learning), provides instructors with the tools to create e-learning or Blended Teaching and Learning (BTL) course. The article provides resources and information to help educators, administrators, and decision-makers better apply ITC in Engineering Education (EE) programs. The resources were analyzed by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (“Gh. Asachi” Technical University from Iaşi, Romania) with extensive experience in integrating ICT (information and communication technology) in the training programs of engineering teachers.","PeriodicalId":129030,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electromechanical and Energy Systems (SIELMEN)","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122526541","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Even though the field of imaging measurements has made a lot of progress, recent works shows that there are still things that are not well understood, some even wrong, such as the significance of Exposure Value for extracting luminance values. There are things in the literature that are confirmed, but the existence of any misinterpretation can be an obstacle to the extension of this means of luminance measurement. The extension of the luminance measurement is important for the lighting engineering, for energy saving and light pollution reduction, but also to understand in a better manner the visual environment.","PeriodicalId":129030,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electromechanical and Energy Systems (SIELMEN)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132710962","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is assumed that a three-phase load is connected to the same grid. Considering the parameters of the load impedance included in the stator equivalent circuit, in case of disconnection from the grid the problem is reduced to studying the transformed induction machine under short circuit. In this paper, the transient stator currents of the induction machine compared to those of transformed machine have been studied. In order to simplify the problem, the rotor speed is assumed to be constant at synchronous speed all over the time interval of interest. The analysis has been performed by simulation. The obtained results were compared to the theoretical ones. Finally the natural components and their characteristic parameters have been presented. Conclusions regarding the nature and the duration of the transient operation have been drawn.","PeriodicalId":129030,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electromechanical and Energy Systems (SIELMEN)","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133040982","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As the requirements of the plasma treatment increase, so do the complexity of the power supplies. At first the power supply used was the network connected to primary winding of a high voltage transformer, now the new trends are specialized power supplies for specific reactor types in order to both optimize the energy of the power supply and to homogenize the plasma treatment. This paper aims to show the Redox potential of the distilled water after plasma treatment and the time evolution of the electric current and the discharge resistance by using three reactor types connected to a few power supplies both AC and pulsed at different frequencies.","PeriodicalId":129030,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Electromechanical and Energy Systems (SIELMEN)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129403443","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
