Installing PV Panels on a University Building: Comparison Between Two Different Climates

Abstract

The paper applies the same case study in two different countries, Romania and Algeria, with two different climates. The investigation of installing PV panels on the same university building was conducted by simulation using the PVsyst software, with the assumption that the photovoltaic panels have to cover the whole energy needs of the sample building. The simulation results in the two climates are compared and discussed from two points of view, energy production and economic benefit.
