Then, by means of the smooth nonlinear complementarity function, the complex difference dynamic system is transformed into a set of familiar difference-algebraic equations. Room temperature photoluminescence (PL) spectra of freshly prepared PSL show a characteristic peak located at ~700 nm. The PL spectrum of chemically oxidized and successively water vapor oxidized PSL strongly modifies compared to the PL spectra of freshly prepared samples. Those variations are associated with the changes on the PSL structure induced by the applied oxidization processes. In this work Ge:Sb:Te:O films with oxygen in the range between 2 to 28 atomic %, are analyzed using X-ray diffraction and XPS measurements. The location of the oxygen in the structure of these films has been deduced from these measurements. Experimental results have shown that in films with oxygen content below 10 atomic %, Te, Sb and most of Ge are in metallic state and the free oxygen is located at the tetrahedral interstitial sites. In these films the oxygen acts as nucleation center in the process of crystallization. In films with higher contents of oxygen tellurium is in metallic state while some of the germanium and antimony form amorphous oxide and due to the deficit of germanium and antimony the amorphous films crystallized into the Sb2Te3 rhombohedral phase with the segregation of crystalline Te. The materials tested were deionized water, used as reference, two muscle-like phantoms, and methacrylate, which is frequently used to make phantom containers. But it suffers some weaknesses for nonlinear on-line identification. For example, the learning process can only arrive local minima. The training algorithms are slow. Support vector machine (SVM) can overcome these problems. But the SVM needs all data to find optimal solution, it is not suitable for online identification. In this paper, we propose a new method to use SVM for on-line identification. We call it as recursive support vector machine (RSVM), where the kernel is not depended on all data, it is calculated by a recursive method, the SVM is also recursive. So we can realize on-line identification via SVM. This paper provides experimental results about how is the ultrasonic signal affected in several acoustic impedances such as water, conductive gel, grease, jelly, and some animal grease with two methodologies, the first one using as transmitter and receiver a piezoelectric ceramic, and the second one using as receiver a PVDF polymer. Furthermore, provides a description of the design and construction of the ultrasonic system focused in the construction of the piezoelectric ceramic based transducer. In this article is described a procedure to obtain automatically the pupil response from digital video. First, we obtain each video frame using the free software library Kino; then, the eye's position is found on the initial frames; later, in order to obtain the perimeter's pixels of the pupil, standard image processing techniques are applied to the eye's subimage.
