Sobandi","doi":"10.2991/assehr.k.200321.031","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.2991/assehr.k.200321.031","url":null,"abstract":"—Keraton Cirebon Batik is one of three palaces in Cirebon including Keraton Kasepuhan, Keraton Kanoman, and Keraton Kacirebonan. At first, Keraton Cirebon Batik was grounded and developed merely around Keraton Cirebon. Development of this batik motif was much influenced by several cultures such as Hindu, Islam, China, and Europe. Therefore, this study was aimed to find out batik preservation program rooted in the keraton traditional batik and investigate the Cirebon traditional batik rooted from the keraton tradition batik either in the batiks that have been used in the national and international level. This study applied a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach. The findings revealed that Keraton Cirebon Batik revitalization was done through a model revitalization which covers: Revitalization context; Reproductive Context; Innovation context; Integration context (Equality of Cultural Perception). Besides, revitalization was also done by creating alternative forms of visual decoration which can be a platform to integrate the cultural stakeholders of the Keraton Cirebon community. The result showed that the kinds of dance costumes rented and appreciated were the modern and traditional dance costumes. Moreover, rental management was carried out through the online and manual or direct system. This dance costume company had implications in providing a vocation for Bandung society and its environments. It was concluded that dance costume rental was a business opportunity that could be developed in Indonesia. This is revealed through the certain characteristic of how rituals toward the sea such as nadran, sedekah laut , and labuh saji are held by the coastal community. Ritual as an event presents in a spare time as the form of liminalities. The varieties in the holding of the ritual is interesting to be formulated in a model of the event which is sustainable and contextual with the era. The analysis uses Ross Derret thoughts on major elements, processes and relationships contributing to festivals which relate Place, Residents, and Visitors. Contextually, those important elements are adopted to formulate the model of Coastal Festival based on the context of coastal festival in West Java. The success of the holding of the festival either on the values or the commerciality needed as the model of the holding of the event, regarding philosophy, program roadmap, empowerment process, integration networking, creativity, sustainability, incubation, and destination. This research using analytic descriptive method and collecting data by interview, literature studies, observation technique, and photo documentation. These data are taken from a sample community, Jatim Strip Surabaya. The approach of this research began with diagnosing the issue, interviewing subject research, following the event, and combining the data with literature references. Traditional art is wealth that should be passed on from generation to generation, as is traditional angklung art. Angklung art is one of the well-known traditional arts in foreign countries, but few people care about its sustainability, so for this reason, efforts are needed to keep this traditional art in existence. Therefore, primary school teachers must be equipped with experience and knowledge about the practice of playing angklung through training. Training using action research methods, it is hoped that this method can find the most effective angklung learning methods. This study uses a qualitative method. The learning process starts from the introduction of angklung , how to sound it, until participants are able to play music with angklung , using simple symbol media using fingers, this makes it easier in the angklung training process when compared to just using number notation. Cancang song is one part of the song's structure of Salawaik Dulang. Cancang song as the text is formed by poetry and melody. The essence of Salawaik Dulang's performance is in the rhyme of Cancang song. This article aims to analyse the meaning of Cancang song in Salawaik Dulang's performance. The method used was Narrative Inquiry. Data collection used observation, interviews, and document study. The results showed that Cancang song which is contained in Salawaik Dulang described the examining body. The phenomenon becomes a magnet that leads to the realm of curiosities to trace the inheritance of Sumedang style puppet dance. This article intends to contribute to produce the output of the Wayang Pewarisan Dance Model Sumedang based on Enculturation and Socialization. Thus, the theory that is considered appropriate in expressing the inheritance of Sumedang style puppet dance is Cultural inheritance that has three forms of the pattern of vertical transmission, horizontal, and sloping. The method used is qualitative paradigm with anthropology and sociology approach. Anthropological approach to lead to the realm of inheritance of Wayang dance Sumedang from the group / environment itself (enculturation). Sociology approach to carry on the process of formation of individuals intentionally through the ways of teaching in groups themselves. The research procedure is based on the stage of literature review, data collection, interviews and data analysis. The results of the research concluded that was empowered by non-academic and academic parties that are mutually correlated to run a paradoxical conservation program. Non-academics insist on conservation while academics move in the realm of revitalization and even innovation.
