This paper discusses the fluctuation of stock price under the information asymmetry. Preliminary empirical results show that the average daily turnover rate and probability of informed trading has positive correlation, and it does not conform to the theoretical derivation. As for the empirical improvement, the liquidity risk, average stock price and probability of informed trading as supplementary explanation variables are introduced to do regression analysis. The results show that under the condition of asymmetric information, the higher the stock prices is, the greater the information transaction risk raises; the larger the value of the probability of informed trading becomes, the greater the impact on stock price fluctuation brings; meanwhile, the liquidity risk has no directly influence on the information transaction risk and stock price fluctuation.","PeriodicalId":124091,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Logistics, Informatics and Service Sciences (LISS)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-07-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125231463","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

By introducing EOQ model and the demand function influenced by greenness preference, we draw following conclusions: first, the manufacturer's optimal production is positively related to greenness level of carbon sensitive product; second, Lower carbon tax and cap-trade will help increase carbon sensitive product production and promote the development of low-carbon economy; third, When the selling price of carbon emission rights is lower than the purchasing price, the cost of carbon sensitive product of higher greenness level is higher than the lower one. Studying the production strategy of carbon sensitive products not only help manufacturers develop more scientific production plans, but also alleviate climate warming, realizing sustainable development.","PeriodicalId":124091,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Logistics, Informatics and Service Sciences (LISS)","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-07-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127093909","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Given the fact that the deep discount used flash sales cannot guarantee business success and may even damage brand reputation, this study seeks to explore the effect of flash-sale mechanism and pays a particular attention on the effect of word-of-mouth (WOM) design in flash-sale mechanism. Results of our online experiment indicate that WOM-based design of flash sales can not only enhance customers' participation rate and lower their average arriving time, but also increase their perceived satisfaction of the flash-sale promotion and their intention to spread positive WOM about the product. This study enhances our understanding for the effect of WOM in flash sales and provides practical implications for retailers who are seeking guidance for their flash-sale promotion.","PeriodicalId":124091,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Logistics, Informatics and Service Sciences (LISS)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-07-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126059507","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The air forwarders have to make a decision about the number of containers to be booked for the hob and regions in advance before accurate customers information becomes available, which is called the first stage decision. In the second stage, when the accurate information is realized, the forwarders have to decide the number of extra containers to be required or the containers to be returned, as well as cargo loading plans for each scenario that might happen on the shipping day. Computational results show that the stochastic model can provide a cost-efficient, flexible and responsive container booking and cargo forwarding system.","PeriodicalId":124091,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Logistics, Informatics and Service Sciences (LISS)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-07-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125514062","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The insufficient number of internal trucks may cause a delay in transporting containers between the quay side and the storage yard, resulting in low productivity of the quay cranes which in turn affects the handling times of vessels. While most of related studies assume that internal trucks are always available, this paper considers the limited availability of internal trucks when estimating the handling times of vessels. A mixed integer programming model is proposed to simultaneously solve the berth allocation problem, quay crane assignment problem, specific quay crane assignment problem and the assignments of internal truck to each quay crane. Validation of the model against an existing approach is conducted under condition that internal trucks are available. Moreover, the proposed model is validated against a queuing model from literature in case of limited availability of internal trucks.","PeriodicalId":124091,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Logistics, Informatics and Service Sciences (LISS)","volume":"56 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-07-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116535655","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
