The use of information and measurement technologies will allow identifying problem areas for their subsequent solution, including improving the efficiency of electricity generation. A steady increase in loads is imposed on the existing distribution networks. Power transmission lines designed according to the consumption standards of the second half of the last century no longer have the necessary capacity, as a result of which the voltage level is reduced far beyond the permissible requirements. Over a five-year period, there has been a sevenfold increase in the number of technological connections in our region. Measurements of electricity quality parameters were made at several dozen transformer substations, as a result, significant inconsistencies with regulatory requirements were revealed. It is also necessary to balance the voltage level and limit the range of its deviations with the help of special equipment, since it is impossible to limit the range of voltage deviations or reduce its asymmetry on existing electrical equipment in electrical networks. As the measurements showed, the level of the reactive power coefficient for the voltage of 0.4 kV and 10 kV is far beyond the standard level, which causes additional losses of electrical energy. The article discusses methods for solving the above problems by using special equipment using information and measurement technologies.","PeriodicalId":123717,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Ural Conference on Electrical Power Engineering (UralCon)","volume":"78 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125024953","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The current cut-offs main disadvantage is the low sensitivity due to the tripping current fixed value. The current cut-offs sensitivity can be increased by giving it adaptive properties. To perform adaptive protection, it is necessary to exchange information between intelligent devices of different cells: EM cells, input switch cells and voltage transformer cells. At a classical substation, the organization of such an exchange of information leads to a complication of secondary circuits and a loss of the transmitted data accuracy. Therefore the implementation of adaptive protection became a reality only with the advent of digital substations. The article considers the change in working conditions, the scheme and properties of adaptive protection at a digital substation. In the adaptive current cut-off the tripping current is adjusted from the inrush current that would have been when the EM was started in the current network mode and which is determined by the measured bus voltage and input current in real time. At the same time, the main feature of adaptive protection is that both the tripping current and the sensitivity coefficient are determined at the same parameters of the electrical network. A mathematical model of the network, current cut-off and electric motor has been developed for the study of adaptive protection. The current cutoff efficiency was estimated by the protected zone length at internal short circuits in the stator winding.","PeriodicalId":123717,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Ural Conference on Electrical Power Engineering (UralCon)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125966473","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is necessary to say that electric steel-smelting complexes consume a lot of energy. For this reason, an urgent task is posed to reduce costs and increase productivity at the same time, which is achieved by reducing the operating time under current. The article presents an improved algorithm for controlling the electrical modes of a two-position ladle-furnace installation based on data on the harmonic composition of the electric arc current, which takes into account changes in the argon blowing mode and slag mode. The article presents the structure of the improved control algorithm, which is successfully applied at one of the plants in the Russian Federation. The effectiveness of the algorithm was also assessed using experimental data, which was obtained on the ladle-furnace installation.","PeriodicalId":123717,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Ural Conference on Electrical Power Engineering (UralCon)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114960471","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To make the Smart Protection Device capable of classifying monitored and alternate modes of the electrical network, it must be trained. Learning is carried out at the development stage, and its effectiveness depends on the training sample. Correctly chosen dimensionality of the precedent space and the power of the training sample guarantee the unambiguity of the solution to the problem of classifying the modes of the electrical system since shortcomings in the strategy for forming the training sample can lead to an explosive increase in computational costs during training. This effect is called the \"curse of dimension\". The purpose of this work is to describe the methods of compression of the training sample, based on the identification of boundary precedents of the training sample and getting rid of the ballast of internal precedents that do not take part in decision making. The paper discusses various approaches to managing the size of the training sample. It is shown that the method of constructing a hull, bordering the feature space of the Smart Protection Device, based on the use of alpha forms, allows compressing the training sample without compromising its information capacity. The application of the compression of the training sample of the Intelligent Discriminator of the modes of ground short circuits in the recognition of a single-phase short circuit to ground is demonstrated. The training results confirm that the training set retained its effectiveness even after compression.","PeriodicalId":123717,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Ural Conference on Electrical Power Engineering (UralCon)","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115994529","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This allows neglecting the active resistance of the transformer windings, which has been discussed in some known publications. This paper deals with a simplified method for taking into account a magnetizing branch when using a T-shaped equivalent circuit of a two-winding transformer to analyze LLC resonant converter at the time interval of its linearity. As a result, the authors' previous neat description of the LLC resonant converter over its linearity interval by three linear differential equations is reduced to two first-order equations, which may simplify the calculations greatly. In this paper, the equation for determining the initial value of the state vector of LLC resonant converter at the interval of its linearity in the steady-state mode has been solved. The result relationships have afforded grounds for computer modeling of processes in the linearity interval using the parameters taken from the data for the commercial LLC resonant converter developed by the EKRA Research and Production Enterprise, Ltd. (Cheboksary). The modeling of LLC resonant converter using the exact and simplified equations has practically shown their exact match.","PeriodicalId":123717,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Ural Conference on Electrical Power Engineering (UralCon)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128672181","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Legal regulation of the power quality in the absence of incentive tariffs has not been effective for 20 years. It is imperative to bring back incentive tariffs to encourage consumers to participate in consumption regimes and improve the power quality. A new method of differentiating the base tariff, which does not require a fundamental change in the current tariff setting system, is proposed. The differentiated tariff for power quality management includes three components, one of which is the base tariff obtained by the current tariff setting system. The incentive component of the tariff, which provides demand for technical devices to improve the power quality, is the component related to payment for the consequences of the effects of disturbances in the transmission of inadequate quality electricity to all consumers of the grid organization. The compensatory component of the tariff allows not changing the existing methods of calculation of the base tariff. Based on the proposed method, an incentive tariff model has been synthesized to involve consumers in the regulation of consumption modes in which disturbances that distort the power quality can occur. The model uses a tariff to pay for the negative consequences of disturbances in the transmission of inadequate quality electricity for the billing period as a control factor.","PeriodicalId":123717,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Ural Conference on Electrical Power Engineering (UralCon)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125647872","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
