This study aims to analyze mathematical literacy based on the problem-solving abilities of students. The type of research used is qualitative research with a case study research method. The subjects in this study were 9 students of grade VII SMP Bunda Rangkiang. The results of this study are descriptive related to mathematical literacy, among others, to formulate, apply, and interpret using PISA (Program for International Students Assessment) questions. This research is a quantitative study. The subjects in this study were students of 9th Grade Imam Syafi'i Junior High School Batam, which may amount to 30 students. The data technique used was a questionnaire, with descriptive data analysis. Based on the research results, it can be seen that the level of digital literacy skills possessed by students is 80% and is in the good category. Where the skill level of each digital literacy indicator, namely internet search skills, was 86% in the very good category, while the hypertext direction guideline skills were 73%, information content evaluation was 82%, and knowledge compilation skills were 82%, the total was in the good category. Furthermore, the results also showed that the most ICT devices used by students in accessing the internet were smartphones 21 students, with 22 students private ownership. One method that can be used is the cross line method. This research aims to improve the ability to calculate multiplication using the cross line method. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the subject of research on third grade students of SD Negeri 9 Tanrutedong, South Sulawesi. Techniques of data collection were test and observation. The instruments used were test sheets and observation sheets. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that the use of the cross line method could improve students' ability to calculate multiplication. Maimunah","doi":"10.26858/jdm.v8i3.17318","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.26858/jdm.v8i3.17318","url":null,"abstract":"This study aims to determine the quality of the test on multiple choice questions in mathematics for Year End Assessment (PAT) class VIII SMPN 2 Bangkinang Kota for the 2019/2020 academic year based on the level of question validity, reliability level, difficulty level, distinguishing power, and option effectiveness cheater). This research is an evaluation with a quantitative descriptive approach. The research was conducted with a sample of 30 student answer sheets. Techniques for collecting data are documentation techniques. After the data is collected, the data will be analyzed with the help of Excel. Judging from the results of this analysis, it can be seen that the End of Year Assessment (PAT) questions for class VIII SMPN 2 Bangkinang Kota for the 2019/2020 academic year were not carried out by quantitative reviewers. Judging from the level of validity, it consists of 14 valid questions, while the other 16 questions are said to be invalid. The PAT questions have a high level of reliability. As for the difficulty level of the questions, there are 7 items (23.33%) difficult, 18 items (60%) moderate, and 5 items (16.66%) easy. The distinguishing power is 8 questions that are bad (26.66%), 7 questions with sufficient criteria (23.33%), 7 questions with good criteria (23.33%), and 8 questions with very good criteria (26.66%) ). For the effectiveness of the option, 4 items (13.33%) were very good, 15 items (50%) were good, 9 items (30%) were bad, and 2 items (6.33%) were very bad. These skills can be applied by teachers through Math learning at the junior high school level, therefore Math teachers must be able to facilitate students for Higher Order Thinking Skills questions. The purpose of this study is to identify the ability of the junior high school Math teachers in Kampar Regency in developing HOTS questions. A total of 30 teachers were asked to fill out a questionnaire and compile 2 HOTS questions. The results of the questionnaire were described and the questions made by the teachers were analyzed based on three aspects, namely 1) the topics chosen by the teacher; 2) the classification of questions based on dimensions of cognitive processes; and 3) the classification of questions that meet the Higher Order Thinking Skills category. The findings showed that the teachers chose a variety of topics including numbers, algebra, geometry and measurement, statistics and probability. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. This study involved students who experienced cognitive conflict with a sample of 6 students of class XII consisting of 5 female students and 1 male student. To show the data, the instruments used were interview and written questions. Each student has finished delivering answers, which will provide new information that can fill the conflict. Based on the results of the study, it shows that: (1) Cognitive conflict in the nature of a flat shape occurs in understanding the concept of a square with a rectangle and the concept of a rhombus with a square (2) Cognitive conflict for how to find the area of a flat shape occurs in the concept of finding a line area with a rectangle and the concept. Because of its very strategic role, issues related to the quality of education have always been the main discussion in government, for example related to the education system and the quality of educators. The cause of this stems from learning, where the learning approach has been centered on lecturers so that students tend to be passive. The purpose of this study was to determine how much influence the motivation to learn, student responses by using a scientific approach to statistical learning outcomes for STIE Muhammadiyah Mamuju students, which in the end is expected to have a quality learning process and an increase in learning outcomes. This type of research is ex post facto in the form of multiple linear regression analysis, combined with experimental research, namely statistical learning through a scientific approach involving the experimental class and the control class. Data collection techniques in this study were tests, questionnaires or questionnaires, observation and documentation. Initially, the sampling was carried out by purposive random sampling, the number of samples used in this study was 35% of the total population of 427 so that the sample was 114 (4 classes). However, because the Covid19 pandemic was increasing and it did not allow researchers to carry out optimally, a sample of 35 students was selected in the experimental class (1 class) and 34 students in the control class (1 class). Purposive said, because the selection according to the researcher had met the requirements, namely on the campus, the statistics subject lecturer had used a scientific approach in the learning process. And it is called Random Sampling, because in determining the sample is done randomly without any strata in the population. Then the data analysis method used is the validity and reliability test of the instrument, descriptive analysis, classical assumption test, and multiple linear regression analysis and hypothesis testing using the F test (simultaneous) and t test (partial) with the help of the SPSS for Windows program software (Statistical Package for Social Science) version 23.0 in processing research data. The focus of this research is: students' mathematics communication in terms of visual learning styles, mathematics communication in terms of auditory learning styles, mathematics communication in terms of kinesthetic learning styles. The subjects of this study were students at SMA Negeri 1 Gowa who were grouped based on their learning styles. The research instrument is the researcher himself, because the researcher himself plans what to ask the research subjects. Data collection techniques are carried out by providing learning style questionnaires, carrying out written tests to see mathematical communication skills, and interview guidelines. This study used technical triangulation with data analysis techniques, namely data presentation, data reduction, and conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the level of mathematics communication can be seen from the learning styles of students. Students with visual and auditory learning styles are able to solve mathematical problems completely and in detail, are able to use mathematical ideas, are able to use mathematical notations and symbols to determine answer conclusions. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi konsep-konsep geometri transformasi apa saja yang terdapat pada ukiran Toraja. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi, dan dilakukan dalam 3 tahapan. Informan (sumber data) dalam penelitian ini adalah orang yang paham tentang seluk beluk budaya Toraja. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari data hasil wawancara dengan informan, catatan lapangan yang dibuat selama penelitian berlangsung dan hasil dokumentasi berupa foto ukiran dan saat mengukir. Untuk memperoleh data yang valid maka peneliti menggunakan triangulasi teori.
